Your prayer for your family has been received and we join you in lifting each of them before the Lord with thanksgiving for your love and care for them.
God in His wisdom has bound mankind together in families, appointing parents and grandparents to be teachers and implanting deep love between generations. Your concern for your grandchildren and daughters reflects that love which God Himself has placed in your heart. He has given you these children and grandchildren not to accuse them but to love them, to pray for them, and to guide them by example and instruction toward what is good.
We pray with you that your grandsons would find honest work and walk in the right direction. Scripture teaches us to urge those who are able to work to do so faithfully, for work is part of God's good provision for life and character. As it is written, if anyone will not work, neither let him eat, that he may be urged into useful labor, while those who can show mercy are not to grow weary in doing good. We ask the Lord to give each of your grandsons diligence to seek work, humility to accept it, perseverance to stay in school and finish what they have begun, and wisdom to use their strength for health and not for wantonness. We pray also that the Lord will draw each of them to Himself, for the greatest direction any life can have is to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
For your granddaughter we join you in praying that she will continue in her studies, grow in focus and self discipline, and care for herself well. For your daughters we pray that God will provide suitable work, that their daily needs for rent and provision will be met, and that they will know true happiness which comes from walking with Christ.
We also hear your prayer for financial blessing and happiness. We ask God to supply what you need, and we pray that your heart and the hearts of your family will seek first the care of spiritual things. Scripture warns us not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but to provide for true health and need, and to spend our greatest energy on what endures. This present life is like a sleep and its riches like a dream that passes when we awaken, but the mercy and righteousness of Christ remain forever. May the Lord prune away what would kindle empty desire and give you all a desire for what is holy, so that any financial provision becomes a means to serve Him and to do good.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior. Have mercy on this family. Provide for their needs according to Your riches. Open doors for work for these young men, give them a love for learning and the will to remain in school and complete it. Guard this young woman and help her to grow in wisdom and discipline. Provide for these daughters, grant them better work, stability in their homes, and joy in You. Draw each one to Yourself, that they may know Christ and live in the hope of eternal life. Lead them all in the right way, and give this grandmother and mother peace as she trusts You. Amen.
