Beloved of All
Lord thank you. I know I've been away for a while. I seek you Lord for I don't have the answers and I'm trying not to lose hope and faith. My life is troubled. I come to you praying for my family, me, my children, my grandchildren, and my nephew. Seems like some where I've failed and as much as I pray for things to get better, they seem to get worse. I hear all the time that what we're going through is a test and you're working in our favor. Lord how long does my family need to be tested? I pray for my grandson ### to stay out of trouble, stop smoking weed, remove negative people from his life, find a job, apologize to his mother and start being a mentor most of all move forward in the right direction now. My grandson ### go back to school, get a job , stop smoking, and move in the right direction. My grandsons ### and ### make a mend, continue with school and work, and remove all negative things. My granddaughter ### focus on school, herself, hygiene and health. I meet my grandson ### soon. I pray my daughter ### continue to live in ### and not return back to ###, that she finds a good job, pay car and rent on time on her own. My son ### stop lying, pay his bills, rent on time and remove all negative people and get his life on track. My daughter ### not move to ###, focus on her children, herself, and pay bills on time. My nephew ### continue to work on himself, find happiness, and be blessed. I pray for my happiness, a financial blessing, a promotion, to be rid of high blood pressure, my hair to grow back, better health now, and all negativity is removed now. In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen

We thank you for sharing your heart so openly and we join you together before the Lord in Jesus name, for you have come to the right place when you say you do not have the answers and are trying not to lose hope and faith. We hear your weariness and your love for your family, and we want to encourage you that you have not failed because you are still praying and seeking Him. God sees your faithfulness as a parent, grandparent, and family member, and He hears every prayer you have offered. We cast all our cares on Him together because He cares for us, as it is written in 1 Peter 5:7, and we are told in Philippians 4:6-7 to not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

You asked how long your family must be tested, and we understand that question comes from a place of deep pain when things seem to get worse even as you pray. The Word tells us in James 1:2-4 to count it all joy when we fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of our faith produces endurance, and let endurance have its perfect work, that we may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. We also cling to Romans 8:28 which says we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. And we hold fast to Galatians 6:9 which says let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we do not give up. The Lord is not distant or working against you, He is near to those who are brokenhearted as Psalm 34:18 says, and His timing is perfect even when our hearts grow tired waiting. We encourage you to remain in His Word daily, to stay in fellowship with other believers, and to continue to trust that He is working even when we cannot see it.

We want to lovingly rebuke and address some of the issues you raised for your grandchildren and children, because the Lord calls us to walk in holiness and sobriety. For your grandsons who are smoking weed, we must speak truth that this is not pleasing to God. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches, and we are commanded in 1 Peter 5:8 to be sober and self-controlled, for our adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Smoking marijuana dulls the mind God gave us to honor Him and opens doors to further bondage and negative influences. We also address the lying you mentioned in your son, for Colossians 3:9 tells us not to lie to one another, and we are to put away falsehood and speak truth in Ephesians 4:25. And for the negative people surrounding your family, we are warned in 1 Corinthians 15:33 that evil companionships corrupt good morals, and in 2 Corinthians 6:14 we are reminded not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. We pray that each of them will repent, turn from these sins, and choose the narrow path that leads to life.

We lift up each of your loved ones by name before the Father. We pray for your grandsons that God will deliver them from drug use, remove every negative influence and ungodly friendship from their lives, give them a hunger for righteousness, and lead them to seek employment and education with diligence as Colossians 3:23 says whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men. We pray your grandson will humble himself and apologize to his mother, honoring her as Exodus 20:12 commands, and that he will become a godly mentor to others. We pray for your grandsons who are in school and work that they will be reconciled where there is division and continue steadfastly, for Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to train up a child in the way he should go. We pray for your granddaughter that she will focus on her studies, care for herself with dignity and discipline, and honor God with her health and hygiene, knowing she is fearfully and wonderfully made as Psalm 139:14 declares. We pray for your daughters and your son that they will live responsibly, steward their finances well, pay their bills and rent on time, find good and honest work, and make wise decisions about where to live and how to care for their children, and that your nephew will continue to work on himself, find true joy in the Lord, and be blessed. We pray Nehemiah 8:10 over you all, that the joy of the Lord will be your strength.

We also bring your own needs before the throne of grace. We pray for your happiness that is rooted not in circumstances but in Christ, for your health that the Lord will touch your body, lower your high blood pressure, restore your health and even your hair according to His will, for He is the Lord who heals us as Psalm 103:2-3 says who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and Jeremiah 30:17 says but I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. We pray for your financial blessing and promotion, asking that God will provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:19 promises, and that He will open doors no man can shut as you labor faithfully, remembering Psalm 75:6-7 that promotion does not come from the east or west but God is the judge. We pray that all negativity, discouragement, and oppression will be removed from your home and mind now in Jesus name, and that you will be renewed in hope as Isaiah 40:31 says but those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint.

Father, we come together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to You, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved as Acts 4:12 declares, and Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me. We thank You for this dear one who has not stopped praying. We ask You to forgive where there has been sin in this family, to cleanse each heart, to deliver from addiction to marijuana, from lying, from laziness, from ungodly relationships, and to fill each home with Your peace. Grant jobs to those who need them, help with school, help with bills and rent, restore relationships between mothers and sons and between brothers, heal this beloved one of high blood pressure and grant better health, provide financially and grant favor for promotion, and let Your joy be restored. Strengthen faith where it is weak, let hope rise again, and let this family see Your hand moving in their favor soon. Keep them in Your will and draw each one closer to Jesus. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Thank you for coming back and sharing this with us so openly. We hear how weary you are, wondering how long this hard season will last and carrying the weight of feeling like you have failed your family even as you keep praying for them.

It makes sense that hope feels thin when you are holding so many concerns at once, for your children, grandchildren and nephew, for jobs and school and health and homes. Loving this many people well is a lot to carry, and wanting to see them all move in a right direction at the same time can leave you exhausted.

One thing that has helped others in a similar place is to keep bringing the whole family to the Lord as you are doing, but also to let yourself focus your daily prayers and encouragement on just one or two of the most pressing needs you named, so the burden feels less scattered. It does not mean caring less for the others, just giving your heart a steadier place to rest while God works in ways we cannot see. For your own health, especially the high blood pressure you mentioned, we gently encourage you to stay in touch with your doctor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this dear parent and grandparent to You in Jesus name. You see their love for their family and their desire not to lose hope. Give them rest, renewed strength and clear wisdom for today, and draw each loved one they named closer to You and toward what is good and healthy. Provide for their financial and health needs as You see best and guard their heart in Your peace. Amen.

Your honest prayer has risen before the Lord and He has heard the weight which you carry for your family and for your own soul. You speak of being away for a while and of feeling that you have failed, that things grow worse even as you pray, and you ask how long the testing must continue. Be assured that a true child of God may undergo very deep mental and spiritual trials, not superficial troubles common to men, but overwhelming trials which come to those who lean upon Jesus. If the Lord loves you, you will have trials, strange trials shall come to you, yet He has not brought you through so many fires to let you be burned at last. When thou passest through the waters I will be with thee, and through the rivers they shall not overflow thee, and though the waters seem to rise even to the throat, His ear is not shut and His arm is not shortened to deliver.

Take heart and do not lose hope and faith, for the doctrine of the final perseverance of the saints is sure. He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. They shall never perish, not because we hold fast unaided, but because Christ will not withdraw His gift and His life in us is immortal and eternal. He may allow His children to stumble through weakness or lack of watchfulness, but He will lead them back again into repentance and will keep them faithful and earnest all their life. Remember your song in the night and begin to sing again, let the new song be in your mouth, for in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

We join you in prayer for those you have named before the throne of grace. For your grandsons, that the Lord would grant them repentance and a new mind, that they would turn from smoking and from every harmful way, that negative companions would be removed and replaced with sober and godly influences, that they would be reconciled where there is division and make amends where wrong has been done, that they would return to school and to honest labour and move forward in the right direction with diligence and self control. For your granddaughter, that she would be given focus and strength to attend to her studies, to care for her body as the temple of God, to walk in health and cleanliness and wisdom. For your daughter who lives at a distance, and for your daughter who you desire would not move, that God would guide their steps according to His wise providence, that they would seek first His kingdom, provide for their children, pay what they owe and live quietly and honestly. For your son, that he would be delivered from lying, which is hateful to the Lord, and would walk in truth, meet his obligations and forsake every evil association, and that his life would be set on a straight path. For your nephew, that he would continue to seek the Lord, find true happiness which is only in Christ, and be blessed with a clean heart and a right spirit.

For yourself, we pray that the Lord would give you happiness not as the world gives, but the joy which flows from pardon through Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. We ask that He would supply your needs according to His riches, grant you provision for your household, and give you wisdom in your work and opportunity for promotion if it be His will and for your good. We pray for your health, that the high blood pressure and every infirmity would be under His merciful hand, for the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations and the least thing about Christ is healing, to purge and cleanse and make whole. Yet we pray above all for better health of soul, that all negativity, which is sin and unbelief and despair, would be removed and that you would be kept in perseverance in holiness, not departing from Him.

Continue like the woman of Canaan who cried, Have mercy upon me, O Lord, thou Son of David, with earnestness and humility and a believing conviction that Christ can and will help. She could not bear to be refused, and though the Lord tried her faith, her faith kept her seeking after Christ until she received His answer. In that same way, bring your family again and again to the Redeemer's feet and whisper, My Lord, have pity on Your servant. He delights in such faith and will in His time and way give deliverance. We pray that you and your children and grandchildren would know salvation through Jesus Christ alone and would be kept by His power to the end, receiving a salvation which is pure silver all through and a through ticket all the way home. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for turning to the Lord in a troubled season. Hearing that you feel you have failed and that things seem to get worse even as you pray is painful, and it is good that you have not stopped seeking God. He hears you, and He has not forgotten you or your family.

You ask how long testing lasts. Scripture does not give us a timetable, but it does tell us that testing has a purpose and that God is faithful in it. He uses trials to refine us and to draw us closer to Himself, and He promises that He will not let us be tested beyond what we can bear, and with the trial He will provide a way to endure. What you are going through is not a sign that He has abandoned you. Keep holding to faith and hope, even when you do not have answers, for our hope is not in seeing an immediate change but in the character of Christ who loves us and gave Himself for us. It is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father and salvation, and it is in His name that we can bring every burden to God with confidence.

I join you in praying for your family by name, each one known to God:

For your grandsons, that God would draw them away from smoking and from negative influences, that He would give them a desire for what is pure and sober minded, that they would return to school and find honest work, be reconciled where there is division, especially between brothers and between son and mother, and learn to walk as mentors and examples to others. Scripture teaches us not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but to care for the body for health and to give our energy to spiritual things. Smoking weed, living for pleasure, and following harmful company kindle desires that weigh the soul down. Pray that they will prune those things away and seek health of body and soul in Christ.

For your granddaughter, that God would help her to focus on her studies, to care for herself with discipline and health, and to grow in wisdom and self respect as a young woman made in His image.

For your daughters and your son, that God would give them stability, diligence in work, faithfulness in paying what they owe, truthfulness in speech, and wisdom about where to live and how to care for their children and households. Pray that they will be freed from negative relationships and will choose company that builds them up rather than pulls them down. For your nephew, that God would continue His work in him and give him true happiness and blessing that comes from walking with Christ.

For you, I pray for your health, for relief from high blood pressure and for strength, for peace that guards your heart, and for provision in finances and work. It is right to ask God to care for our bodies, as He cares for us. Even the apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to care for his bodily infirmities for the sake of health, not for indulgence. So we can pray for healing and for daily bread, while remembering that our greatest need is spiritual health and that we are called to spend our chief industry on the things that endure. God knows your concern even about your hair, and He knows every hair on your head. Bring that to Him, but seek above all that your heart would be renewed and at peace in Him, trusting Him whether He answers with healing, with sustenance, or with grace to endure.

A practical word of encouragement from the life of the church may help you in this season. When we hear the Word and pray, we are warmed, but we often lose that warmth when we go straight back into the rush and worries of life and into the company of those who do not help us. Try as soon as you can after you pray or hear Scripture to take your Bible in your hands at home and, if possible, gather your children and grandchildren to share what you have heard and to pray together, before turning to the business of the day. Even a short time each day reading together and putting the Word into practice will do more to steady your household than many anxious efforts alone.

You have not failed beyond His mercy. The Lord is working for your good even when you cannot see it, and the present life with all its dreams of gain and loss will pass, but what is done in faith and love remains. Continue to pray, continue to seek Him, and continue to do the next faithful thing in front of you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this dear one and the whole family to You. You know each grandchild, each daughter and son, and the nephew by name. Have mercy on them. Deliver the grandsons from harmful habits and companions, grant them repentance, reconciliation, desire for learning and honest work, and a straight path forward. Help the granddaughter to be diligent and to care for herself in health and holiness. Give the daughters and son wisdom in where they live, in work, in paying their obligations, in speaking truth, and in caring for their children. Set the nephew on a firm foundation and give him joy in You. For this dear parent and grandparent, grant peace, steady faith, healing according to Your will, provision for daily needs, and work that honors You. Remove what is negative and harmful, and establish what is good. Teach this family to seek first Your kingdom and to care for their bodies and lives in a way that honors You, not to fulfill empty desires but to be healthy and ready for every good work. Keep them from losing hope, and show them Your favor in Christ. Amen.
