Disciple of Prayer
Lord I'm praying that my daughter can get back to college and get the financial assistance necessary to continue her education. I pray that my husband who stole all the money we had for bills and school to support his addictions finds clarity and the devil who has a grip on him is banished immediately. I pray for myself to find peace to find stability and to get the income back that was taken from me in April so I can pay my bills and help my daughter with school and just be ok. Nothing is alright in my life and I'm so tired and hopeless living in constant chaos and having everything taken from me and all I do is work and try my best. I was cursed at a young age to only have bad things happen each and every day no matter how kind I am to people or how much good I do I'm always in turmoil. Please Lord help us all we are looking to you to show us your path so we can follow it

We hear the deep pain and desperation in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees your suffering, and He is near to the brokenhearted. Your cry for help has reached the ears of the Lord, who is faithful to deliver His children from the snares of the enemy. Let us first address the power and authority we have in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. You did not invoke His name in your prayer, yet it is *only* by His name that we are saved, healed, and set free. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9-10). There is no curse, no addiction, and no stronghold of the enemy that can stand against the blood of Jesus and the power of His resurrection.

Your husband’s actions are grievous and stem from the bondage of addiction, which is a tool of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). While we pray for his deliverance, we must also speak truth: his choices are sinful and have caused immense harm to your family. Scripture is clear that a man who does not provide for his household *"has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8, WEB). Addiction is not an excuse for theft or neglect—it is a stronghold that must be broken by repentance and the power of the Holy Spirit. We rebuke the spirit of addiction, deception, and theft operating in his life, and we command it to loose its grip *now* in the name of Jesus. However, his heart must turn to God in genuine repentance. You cannot force his salvation or his obedience, but you can stand in the gap for him while also setting godly boundaries to protect yourself and your daughter. If he is unrepentant, Scripture advises that you seek wise counsel from your church leadership on how to proceed (Matthew 18:15-17). You are not called to enable sin, but you *are* called to forgive—as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13). Forgiveness does not mean trusting him immediately or pretending the harm never happened; it means releasing the bitterness to God so that *you* are not consumed by it.

As for the lie that you are "cursed," we *vehemently* rebuke that deception in the name of Jesus. Curses have no authority over those who are in Christ! *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,’"* (Galatians 3:13, WEB). If you have placed your faith in Jesus, you are *redeemed*, and no curse—spoken by man or whispered by the enemy—can prevail against you. The chaos you are experiencing is not a curse from God but the result of living in a fallen world and the attacks of the enemy, who seeks to discourage and destroy. But *"the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment"* (2 Peter 2:9, WEB). You are not doomed to a life of turmoil; you are *destined* for victory in Christ. Renounce every word of cursing spoken over you, break its power in Jesus’ name, and declare that you are *blessed* because you belong to Him (Numbers 23:20).

Your daughter’s education is a noble concern, and we lift her up to the Lord, asking for His provision. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). While you seek financial assistance, remember that God is your ultimate Provider. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He is able to open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray for supernatural favor with financial aid offices, scholarships, or even unexpected sources of income. But we also encourage you to seek wisdom: if your daughter is pursuing a degree, is it aligned with God’s will for her life? Pray that He would guide her steps and confirm His plan, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Your weariness is understood, beloved. Jesus Himself said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB). You were not created to carry this alone. Lean on the body of Christ—reach out to your church for practical and spiritual support. If you are not plugged into a biblical, Christ-centered church, we urge you to find one immediately. You need godly community to stand with you in this season.

Finally, your peace and stability must be rooted in Christ, not in circumstances. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). This does not mean you will not face hardship, but it means you can have *peace in the storm*. Your hope is not in restored finances (though we pray for that), but in the unshakable love of your Heavenly Father.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious sister who is weary, broken, and in desperate need of Your intervention. Lord, You see the theft, the addiction, the chaos, and the deep pain she carries. We declare that *no weapon formed against her will prosper* (Isaiah 54:17), and we break every curse, every lie, and every scheme of the enemy that has tried to bind her. Father, we ask for Your supernatural provision—restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Open doors for her daughter’s education, provide the finances needed for bills, and grant her wisdom to steward what You give her.

Lord, we pray for her husband—break the chains of addiction in Jesus’ name. Convict his heart of sin and lead him to true repentance. If he refuses to turn from his ways, Father, give her the strength to set godly boundaries and the discernment to know how to proceed. Surround her with Your protection and Your peace.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and despair trying to take root in her heart. Fill her with Your joy, which is her strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Remind her that she is *not* cursed—she is *redeemed*, loved, and chosen by You. Let her find rest in You, Lord, and let her trust in Your faithfulness even when she cannot see the way forward.

We ask for Your divine favor to surround her like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Bring godly people into her life to support, encourage, and walk with her through this season. Give her supernatural endurance and a renewed sense of hope as she fixes her eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of her faith.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray—*Amen.*

Beloved sister, hold fast to this truth: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and do not lose heart. Your breakthrough is coming. Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and trust that God is working *even now* on your behalf. If you need further counsel or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. You are loved, you are seen, and you are *not* forgotten.

Dear sister, we've been thinking about you and your situation. We want to encourage you with these words from the Lord:

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

We know that you're going through a tough time, with your daughter's education, your husband's actions, and the financial strain you're under. But remember, our God is a God who sees, who cares, and who is more than able to help you in your time of need.

Let's pray together:

Lord, we come before you today, laying our sister's burden at your feet. We ask for your divine intervention in her life. We ask for provision for her daughter's education, for her bills, and for her own peace of mind. We ask for healing and restoration in her marriage, for her husband to find clarity and turn away from his addictions.

We also ask for your protection over her, Lord. We ask that you would guard her heart and her mind, that you would fill her with your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that you would remind her of your unfailing love for her, that you would be her strength and her shield.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
