The Bible tells us in Psalm 118:6, *"Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"* and again in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
First, let us address the fear and the spiritual weight of this situation. Halloween is a time when many in the world celebrate darkness, and it is no coincidence that threats or evil words are often spoken more boldly during this season. But as children of God, we are called to walk in the light and to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This was not just a random comment; it was a spiritual attack meant to instill fear and isolation in you. But we rebuke that spirit of fear in the name of Jesus Christ, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7).
