I haven't slept at all since last night until this morning

We hear your weariness and we are bringing your sleepless night before the Lord together with you, asking for His peace and rest to come over you. We know how discouraging and heavy it feels to lie awake through the night without understanding why, and we want you to know that God sees you in those quiet and restless hours and He cares deeply for you.

Scripture reminds us that sleep is a gift from the Lord and that true rest comes from Him. Psalm 127:2 says It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. And Psalm 4:8 says In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. When our minds are restless or anxious, God invites us to bring every worry to Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 also reminds us to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

We encourage you to gently examine what may be weighing on your heart or mind, whether it is stress, anxiety, caffeine, screen time late at night, or other burdens you may be carrying. We also encourage you to create a quiet and peaceful routine before bed, to pray and commit your thoughts to the Lord, and if this sleeplessness continues, to seek wise counsel and also medical advice, for God often provides help through physicians and restful habits.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true peace and salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in every need, including your need for rest.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one who has been unable to sleep through the night. We ask for Your mercy and Your calming presence to settle the mind and body. We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, restlessness, or fear that would steal sleep, and we ask You to replace it with Your perfect peace. Lord, let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard the heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus. We ask that You grant deep, restorative, and uninterrupted sleep tonight and in the nights to come, and that You reveal any underlying worry or burden and help to cast it fully upon You. We pray for healing, comfort, and renewed strength, and we thank You that You are our refuge and our shepherd who watches over us even as we sleep. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We will continue to keep you in prayer for restful nights and peaceful days. We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord before sleep, to pour out your heart to Him, and to trust that He is watching over you with love through the night.

We noticed your note about not sleeping at all last night and not knowing why. Going through a whole night awake can leave you exhausted and uneasy the next day, and we are holding you in prayer.

Sometimes a single sleepless night has no clear cause and passes on its own, other times it is tied to stress, late stimulation, or disrupted routines that are not obvious in the moment. It makes sense you would feel puzzled and tired.

If you find this continues for more than a night or two, or you feel especially drained, we encourage you to check in with your doctor or clinic alongside prayer, just to make sure you are cared for well. It can help to jot down for a few nights what time you went to bed, when you woke, and anything that was on your mind, so you have a clear picture to share if you do talk with them.

We are grateful you reached out. You are not alone in this, and we are asking God to give you deep, restoring rest in the nights ahead.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight. You know how weary they feel after no sleep and how much they long for rest. Grant them peace as they lie down, watch over them through the night, and give wisdom to know how to care for their body and heart. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

A night without sleep can leave both body and soul weary, and the Lord sees your wakefulness and your weariness even now. There are seasons when sleep flees from us without clear cause, and the mind is left to toss and turn while the hours pass slowly.

Hear what the Scripture says, Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. There is no such resting place anywhere else like that where omnipotence and eternal love are sweetly joined together. To rest in the Lord is not only to lie down in bed, but to lie down in His care, to resign the soul to the peace which the Holy Spirit brings, as one who reclines upon a soft couch provided by Him who says, My child, you are very weary, rest in the Lord. For so He giveth His beloved sleep.

The Saviour calls to the weary, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, rest now, not only after long waiting, but rest given when we come to Jesus by faith. It is perfect and complete in itself, for in His blood and righteousness our peace is made sure. And the prophet gives the secret of that peace, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. When the mind is stayed upon the Lord, even thronging cares and sleepless thoughts may be quieted, for to do the will of Jesus and to trust His keeping is rest.

Anxiety itself will often keep us awake, and that very anxiety unfits us to meet the day. Therefore cast your burden upon the Lord. Tell Him plainly of this sleepless night, of the weakness you feel this morning, of every care that presses upon you. Faith tones us down into little children and casts our heart in a fresh mold, and so we enter into rest.

I pray for you now, that the Lord will bless His people with peace, that He will quiet your thoughts and refresh your body, that He will give you sweet and restoring sleep in the nights to come, and that whether you wake or sleep you may find your rest in Christ. May you lie down in peace and sleep, for the Lord only maketh you to dwell in safety, and may your mind be stayed upon Him who is your strength in the time of trouble.

If this wakefulness continues, do not bear it alone, seek counsel and help from those near you, and continue to bring your body and your spirit to the Great Physician who watches over you without slumber.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your sleepless night has been heard, and I have brought it before the Lord with care for you. To lie awake from night until morning without knowing why is wearying to both body and soul, and God sees that weariness.

Scripture shows us that sleep is not an accident but a gift woven into our nature by God Himself. He made night as a haven for our ills, a solace for our woes and a medicine for our wounds. He did not leave rest to our own will but bound it into our nature, so that even against our wills good might be done to us. When sleep is withheld, it is right to turn to the One who ordained it.

Often sleeplessness comes from cares and anxieties that press upon the heart, even when we cannot name them. The Scriptures say that the anxieties of life can drive away sleep, and that when the soul is at war within itself, with restless thoughts and heavy burdens, true peace is broken. This is why the Lord Jesus invites us so gently, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. He does not say He will only forgive, but that He will place us in security and give rest to our souls.

There remains a rest for the people of God, and that rest begins now in coming to Christ and continues into eternity. That rest is found in peace with God through Jesus, and in a quiet heart that trusts Him.

So I prayed for you that God would grant you His peace, which is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and that He would calm any inward war of thoughts and give you quiet sleep in His hands. As it is written, He gives sleep to His beloved, and in peace you can lie down and sleep, for He alone makes you dwell in safety.

In these nights, bring your heart to Him before you lie down. Tell Him plainly that you are tired and do not understand why sleep has left you, and cast every care upon Him because He cares for you. Ask for His Angel of peace to guard your room and your mind. Keep the evening as quiet as you can, turn away from anxious reasonings and restless cares, and let your last thoughts be prayer and thanksgiving rather than worry. If this sleeplessness continues, do not bear it alone but seek wise counsel and help for your body as well as your soul, for God cares for the whole person.

May the God of love and peace be with you, quiet your heart, and grant you deep and restoring sleep, and may He keep you in all godliness and honesty as you rest in Christ.

I will continue to pray that tonight the Lord will grant you rest, and that you will wake refreshed in His mercy.
