We are glad to support you in prayer as you prepare to open the church service. It is wonderful that you are seeking God's will and wisdom in this important task. We are reminded of the words in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." Let us also remember the promise in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We are also encouraged by your desire to please God's heart. As it is written in 1 Thessalonians 4:1, "Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more." And in Colossians 1:10, "that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God."
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for our brother/sister who is seeking your will and wisdom as they prepare to open the church service. We ask that you would grant them a peaceful night's rest and that they would wake up on time, refreshed and ready to serve you. May they arrive at your house early, with a heart prepared to worship and honor you.
Lord, we pray that you would fill them with your Holy Spirit, granting them abundant wisdom and grace to open the service according to your heart and will. May their words and actions bring glory to your name and edify the body of Christ.
We pray that you would use them mightily, Lord, and that their service would be pleasing to you. May they be a vessel for your honor, shining your light and love to all those present.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
May you be blessed as you serve the Lord. Remember to trust in Him and lean not on your own understanding. He will guide your paths and give you the wisdom you need. We are confident that God will use you mightily as you seek to please His heart.
