I have to give up on the church going and it will be an acceptable thing

Dexter2020

Good and Faithful Servant
I am done with church, prayer, and Bible reading. When the people who claim to represent God spend their time mocking and belittling others, it crosses a massive line. They tried to force me into giving up my career as a Business Analyst, telling me I should settle for working at McDonald's or as a plumber because "that is God's will," and insisting I should never get married. They even had the audacity to claim that me working as a Business Analyst was "covetousness"—yet somehow, when foreigners work those exact same BA jobs, it isn't. The reality is that my previous BA role was on a contract basis, and due to straight-up xenocentrism, I was let go. Instead of recognizing what happened, the church blamed me entirely, making it out to be my fault. That is why I dropped out of church to build things on my own terms. I am securing my own Business Analyst and Manager roles, trading stocks, and keeping my savings plan running strong—things the church could never do for me. That wasn't God's will; it was pure human hypocrisy. They tried to tell me my chosen career was unsuitable for me, even though it is my passion and my talent. I finally realize the truth: it isn't my career that is unsuitable; it is the toxic environment of the church itself. Walking away is true freedom. Now, I can use my time to go through proper dating agencies and pursue marriage on my own terms, free from their mockery. I spend my days applying for BA jobs, managing my stock trades at night, and filtering out all their nonsense once and for all.

We hear the deep hurt and frustration in your words and we stand with you before the Lord in prayer, asking God to bring healing where people have wounded you. When those who claim to represent Christ mock and belittle others, that is sin and it grieves the heart of God, for we are told Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice Ephesians 4:31 and The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18. If you were shamed for your work, blamed falsely, and told lies about what God wants for your life, that was human hypocrisy and not the voice of God, and we grieve that you experienced it.

Yet we must lovingly rebuke and correct you where your response has moved away from biblical truth, because walking away from church, prayer, and Bible reading is not acceptable and it is not true freedom. We understand the temptation to give up on fellowship after being hurt, but Scripture commands us not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching Hebrews 10:25. People may fail you, but God has not failed you, and to cut yourself off from prayer and His Word is to cut yourself off from the very source of healing, wisdom, and strength you need in this season. Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path Psalm 119:105. We also notice you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request, and we must remind you that it is only through Him we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have turned from Him, we urge you to turn back, confess your need, and believe that God raised Him from the dead, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

Concerning your career, we want to affirm what is true. God gives talents and passions and calls us to work diligently as unto Him, for Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23 and Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3. Working as a Business Analyst or a Manager is not in itself covetousness. Covetousness is an inordinate desire for what belongs to another as forbidden in You shall not covet Exodus 20:17, not faithful labor in a field God has gifted you for. To tell you that you must settle for work you are not called to, or that you should never marry, is not biblical. If others have applied a double standard or shown xenocentrism toward you, God sees that injustice, and we are told Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. That does not mean your hurt is your fault, and we pray God vindicates you and opens the right doors for the Business Analyst and Manager roles you are seeking. Your diligence in applying, in stewarding resources through saving and trading, can be honorable stewardship when done with integrity and without greed, for The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit Proverbs 21:5.

We also hear your desire to pursue marriage and we affirm that longing. Marriage is a holy and lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God designed from the beginning, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24 and Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. We encourage you not to pursue marriage on your own terms in a worldly sense, but on God's terms, seeking a godly spouse who is a Christian Believer, for courtship should be with the goal of marriage and we are told not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. Using a dating agency is not sinful in itself, but we urge you to use discernment, to seek a believer who loves Jesus, to pursue purity, for sex before or outside marriage is fornication and dishonors God, and to let marriage be pursued as a covenant that honors Him. Do not let bitterness toward the church push you into relationships that are not centered on Christ.

True freedom is not found in filtering out God along with the nonsense of people, but in abiding in Christ, for If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36. We urge you not to let a root of bitterness grow, for See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God, that no root of bitterness springs up to trouble you and through which many become defiled Hebrews 12:15. Forgiving those who mocked you does not excuse what they did, but it releases you to heal. We encourage you to seek a healthy, Bible believing fellowship where the Word is taught faithfully and where your gifts are encouraged, rather than abandoning the Body of Christ altogether, and to return to daily prayer and reading of Scripture even when it feels hard.

We pray together for you now. Father in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this dear one to You. We ask You to heal the wounds caused by mockery and false judgment, to remove bitterness and to restore a hunger for Your presence, Your Word, and prayer. Lord, vindicate where there has been injustice in employment, open doors for a suitable Business Analyst and Manager position according to Your will, and give wisdom and integrity in stewardship of finances. Lead to a godly wife if it is Your will for marriage, a woman who loves You and will walk as a helpmate in a Christ centered marriage that endures for life. Draw this heart back to fellowship with Your people, to a church where grace and truth are spoken in love, and let it be known that Your will is good and not burdensome. We ask that You help to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. Restore joy, purpose, and hope, and let Your name be glorified in this life. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your church experience is unusual and not typical. Im glad you have your freedom. It were better you didnt abandon your faith in God because of bad representatives of the faith. After all he created you and can bless the work of your hands. You dont need a different God you just need a differebt church. May God bring you back to him when your able to appreciate it. Only in Lord Yeshua messiah name.

Thank you for being so candid with us about what happened. We hear how much it hurt to feel mocked and belittled by people who were supposed to encourage you, and to be told your work as a Business Analyst was somehow wrong for you while others doing the same work were not questioned. Losing a contract role and then being blamed for it, rather than being supported, would leave anyone feeling unseen and unfairly judged.

It makes sense that you stepped back after that. It also makes sense that you would want to protect the work you are good at and care about. Wanting to use your talents, provide for yourself, and build a stable future through the BA and manager roles you are pursuing, and to think carefully about marriage, are serious and dignified goals.

If it would help, one steady next step could be to talk through the career and community questions with someone outside that hurtful environment who respects both your professional skills and your deeper values, perhaps a trusted mentor or a qualified career counselor who will start by listening to your goals and assessing your strengths, rather than telling you what you should want. You deserve space where your gifts are taken seriously and where you are not shamed for using them.

We are holding you in prayer.

Father, we bring this hurt and disappointment to You. We ask You to bring healing where there has been belittling, wisdom for each job application and decision about work and finances, and peace in the search for healthy community and for marriage in Your timing. Give clarity, protection, and hope in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Ask God to reveal that Jesus and the church are different, and if there is any truth in Scripture, He leads you to it. God bless you, Luke 24:44-47, in Jesus' Name

There is a heavy sorrow that breathes through your words, and it would be unfaithful not to hear it. To be mocked and belittled by those who claim the name of Christ, to be blamed when you suffered wrong, to have your lawful calling despised and your desire for marriage spoken against, is a wound that cuts deeply. Man is a double being, composed of body and soul, and each portion may receive injury, but the wounds of the soul when inflicted in the name of religion are singularly painful. I do not wonder that your heart is sore.

Yet I must speak to you plainly in love, for to forsake Christ and His Word and His people is not the healing of that wound, but the opening of it wider. You have met with the failure and folly and even cruelty of men, but you must not confound men with the Master. There have always been those who sit by and criticize while Christ is teaching and healing, but the healing power was present when Christ was teaching, and faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The torn leaves of that sacred volume have brought healing to many a soul who had wandered from speculation to doubts and from doubts to denial, for they led him to repose on the mercy of God which is sufficient for the chief of sinners.

You say you are done with church, prayer and Bible reading, and that walking away is true freedom. My friend, true freedom is not found in stepping away from the fountain, but in drinking from it. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed on the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. What you need is not less of Christ, but more of Him.

Do not let the unkind judgment of others define your calling before God. Whatever may be our calling, or in whatever art or science we may have attained proficiency, we should take care to use our knowledge for Christ. If in your Bible you turn to 2 Timothy 1:9 you will read, Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling. And again, Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Recollect, if you are truly called it is a high calling, a calling from on high, and a calling that lifts up your heart and raises it to the high things of God. And again it is written, Holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling. Heavenly calling means a call from heaven. Have you been called, not of man but of God? Can you now detect in your calling the hand of God and the voice of God? If man alone call thee, thou art uncalled. Is thy calling of God, and is it a call to heaven as well as from heaven?

To work diligently as a Business Analyst or a Manager is not in itself covetousness. Diligence in a lawful vocation can be offered to God, and the question is not whether others approve your work, but whether your heart is set upon heavenly things while your hands are busy upon earthly things. And your desire for marriage is itself a good desire, for marriage is ordained of God as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and purity and faithfulness belong within it. Seek it not merely on your own terms and apart from the Lord, but under His hand and according to His Word, for only there is it holy and blessed.

You were told your career was unsuitable and that you should never marry, and you felt the sting of xenocentrism and blame. That blame may have been unjust, and the Lord sees that injustice. But do not trade one error for another by saying, I will build all things on my own terms and filter out all that God has said. The effectual calling of men by the Holy Spirit is a very gracious truth. You may guess this from the fact that Zaccheus was a character whom we should suppose the last to be saved, yet Jesus came and called him by name. When He calls His sheep by what theologians term effectual calling, then the sheep hear His voice and they rise up at once and follow Him, for they know His voice. He is still the great model Man, standing in the midst of those whom He is not ashamed to call His brethren, looking out of His Church and crying to those outside, Come unto Me, Come unto Me.

If thou hast a desire to come, if thou art forcing thy way through the ashes to get to Christ, then it is because Christ is calling thee. Oh, hear Him tonight. Do not turn from prayer, for the Church must pray if she would have the healing power. Do not turn from the Book which alone can purge evil and open the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. Do not turn from the assembling of His people, for there is to be a succession of faithful men who shall be able to teach others also, and though imperfect men may wound you, Christ Himself never wounds to destroy, but to heal.

I pray the Lord will give you healing and pardon together, that you may find your work, your savings, your hopes of marriage all brought under His gracious rule, and that you may prove that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Turn again to Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Look, look, look unto Him and be saved.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
