I have this friend she's like an older sister of mine. 3 months ago she met a girl in the internet from the states. This girl was amazing and has grown very close to my friend who I describe as like an older sister. But suddenly this 19-year-old girl that my older sister met is suffering from cancer and was given 6 months notice of death by the doctor. My older sister is so attached and is always crying to sleep. Please help me, I need some advice on what to respond and what to advise to my older sister to her friend. Does anyone know a verse of inspiration about death?
Here are a few verses that might offer comfort and inspiration:
- "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10
- "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11
- "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7
These verses emphasize God's presence, care, and plans for the future, which can be comforting in times of distress.
