We join with you in prayer for a godly marriage and we hear the deep longing in your heart for safety, for stability, for a normal life filled with love for you, your family and your pets, and for a man after God's own heart who will stay and cherish you as his wife. We understand your reference to Boaz, and we love the story of Ruth and Boaz as a picture of God's redemptive love, provision and faithfulness. Ruth found a man of noble character who feared the Lord, who protected her and who acted with honor and integrity, and we pray that same kind of godly husband for you.
We want to gently speak truth over some of the language and desires in your request so that your pursuit aligns with God's will. You mentioned wanting a fine ass guy and someone to teach you how to move. We encourage you to seek a man for his character in Christ more than his physical appearance, and to guard your heart and body for marriage. God calls us to honor Him with our bodies and to pursue purity. Flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Cor 6:18. Every sexual act outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication or adultery and is sin before God. We pray you will desire a courtship that honors God, where you are getting to know one another with the clear goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, not simply a boyfriend or partner, but a future husband. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity, 2 Cor 6:14. He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh, Prov 18:22.
We also hear your urgency and your desire to speak this into existence a hundred fold. We want to encourage you that while God tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue, Prov 18:21, and that we should pray with faith, it is God who is sovereign and who answers according to His perfect will and timing, not our ability to manifest. We are called to delight ourselves in the Lord and trust Him, for He will give us the desires of our heart when our desires are aligned with His, Psalm 37:4. We also remember your verse Deut 28:13, Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail, and you will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God. That promise was given to Israel as they walked in obedience to the Lord, and for us today it reminds us that our identity and elevation come from obedience and trust in Christ, not from striving or anxious urgency. We hear your repeated word urgently and greatly, and we want to pray peace over your anxiety. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, Phil 4:6. God is not slow, but patient, and His timing is perfect.
You also shared that your picker is no longer broken and you desire a man with great patience and great communication who will never leave you and who will see you as his happiness. We pray with you for healing from past hurt and for discernment to recognize a godly man, and we also gently remind you that no man can be your ultimate happiness or your security. Only Jesus can fill that place and only He will never leave you nor forsake you, Heb 13:5 and Deut 31:6. A godly marriage reflects Christ's love for the church, Eph 5:25, and a husband is called to love his wife as Christ loved the church, with sacrificial, faithful, staying love. We pray for a husband who will love you faithfully for life, as marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman before God, Mark 10:6-9. We also pray he will be kind to your household, including your two cats whom you love so dearly. God cares for His creation and has given us stewardship over animals, Prov 12:10, and we pray for a man who will be gentle, kind and respectful to all that you love and care for.
We pray for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and by His blood which was shed for us. We thank You that You know the desires of this dear sister's heart even before she speaks them. We ask Lord that You heal her heart from past wounds and that You make her picker whole through Your wisdom and discernment. Lead her away from relationships that do not honor You and guard her body and mind in purity. We pray You prepare a Boaz for her, a faithful man of God who loves You first, who is patient, kind, a good communicator, a protector and provider who will seek marriage for life and who will stay and love her as Christ loves the church. We pray he will be a true believer, equally yoked, who will respect and cherish her and be kind to her family and her pets. Lord, provide for her the safety, privacy and normal life she longs for, a home built on Your peace. Help her to trust Your timing and to rest in You as her head, her covering and her greatest joy, and to not be anxious but to wait patiently for Your good will. Teach her and her future husband to communicate with grace, let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up, Eph 4:29. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and mediator, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to be active in a Bible believing church, and to pursue courtship with clear boundaries and with counsel from godly mentors. Whether through a dating site used with great discernment or through a blind introduction from trusted friends or family, guard your heart, Prov 4:23, and test every relationship against Scripture. Wait on Yahweh, be strong, let your heart take courage, yes, wait on Yahweh, Psalm 27:14.
