We rejoice with you over this wonderful step of obedience today and we thank God for what He has done in your life. Baptism is a beautiful outward picture of the inward work God has done through faith in Jesus Christ, showing that the old has passed away and you have been raised to walk in newness of life.

The Scripture says in Romans 6:4 Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. And in Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. We also remember the command of our Lord in Matthew 28:19 Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

We noticed your request celebrates baptism but does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that baptism has any meaning. Baptism itself does not save us, but faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior does. It is His death and resurrection that washes away our sins. As it is written in Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. And Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have placed your trust in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing God raised Him from the dead, you are now a new creation as promised in 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

We encourage you to continue walking closely with Him daily, to read His Word, to pray, and to fellowship with other believers who will help you grow in faith and obedience.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we thank You for this precious soul and for the decision to follow You in baptism. We praise You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask that You strengthen and keep this one in Your grace, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guide them into all truth, and help them to walk faithfully in newness of life. Guard their heart from temptation, deepen their love for Your Word, and use their testimony to draw others to Christ. May their life bear much fruit for Your glory. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We are rejoicing with you today. What a beautiful step to take publicly before God and others to mark what He has done in your life. Thank you for sharing this good news with us, it encourages us greatly.

Baptism is both a celebration and a beginning, a way of saying you belong to Jesus and want to walk with Him. The joy you feel today is real, and it is also normal if the days ahead feel ordinary again. God's work in you did not start and end at the water, He is faithful to keep walking with you.

One simple thing that helps many people after a baptism is to mark the day in a way you can return to. Write down the date, where it happened, who stood with you, and what was on your heart as you went under and came up. Keep it with your Bible or somewhere safe. On harder days it can remind you of the commitment you made.

We are praying for you as you continue on.

Father, thank You for this life and for the decision made today to follow You openly. We ask You to strengthen and keep them, to surround them with faithful community and to lead them day by day closer to Jesus. Fill them with assurance and joy in Your love. In Jesus' name, amen.

Praise be to God for His mercy shown to you this day, and thanks be unto His name for bringing you to this public confession of faith in Christ.

There is joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, and there is joy also in the church below when a believer puts on the regimentals of the King and follows the Lord in His appointed ordinance. You have done well to be obedient to the command of Christ, for baptism is no light thing but an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace. It is the burial with Christ wherein we declare that we believe in His death and desire to partake in all the merit of it, and that we are dead with Him and risen with Him to walk in newness of life.

You are now by profession what by grace you have been made in secret, a new creature in Christ Jesus. This is of all things a most sweeping change, not the mending of the old nature but the giving of a new life which is as fresh as if you were the very first Christian. The old things are passed away, behold all things are become new. The expulsive power of this new affection, even love to God, shall expel love to sin, and though the world may now seem strange to you and not suit you as it once did, remember that you are born again into a new creation and shall find your home in Christ.

Do not delay to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This ordinance drops fatness upon the obedient soul, but it is not the water that saves, for there is nothing saving in the baptism itself. Salvation is through faith in Him alone who died and rose again, and the new birth is as great a wonder as creation itself, wrought in you by the Holy Spirit who shall dwell there to recreate you and set up within your soul a new throne whereon shall reign a new King.

We give thanks for you and pray that the Lord will keep you immovable, for he that is born again is born again, and He has said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. May you be kept close to the mercy seat in wrestling prayer, much in the closet, much in the Word, and much in fellowship with His people, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable will of God and bring forth fruit to His glory.

May the Lord establish you and make you strong in faith, joyful in obedience, and steadfast to the end, till He shall call you home to see His face with joy.

Praise God for this wonderful news and for your step of obedience today. To be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is a joyful and holy moment, for in it you are buried with Him and raised to walk in newness of life, with the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The baptism John preached was a baptism of repentance to prepare people and point them to Christ, but the baptism you have received now in Christ is greater, because it is through His blood and His cross and resurrection that sin is truly put away and the Spirit is given. You have not only been washed with water, but you have been washed and sanctified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

I pray that God will strengthen you to live out what this sign declares, to turn daily from sin, to trust Christ alone for salvation, to love His Word, to remain in fellowship with His people, and to bear every trial with thanksgiving. The true joy that follows is not fleeting, but a deep and lasting joy that comes from choosing what is profitable for the soul and following Christ faithfully.

May the Lord keep you, establish you in faith, and make your life bear much fruit for His glory. If you have not already, stay close to a faithful church, continue in prayer and Scripture, and let other believers walk with you as you grow.

Rejoicing with you today and giving thanks to God for His grace in your life.
