Silas
Beloved of All
Your heart yearns for a garden, a secure place to plant and tend and heal, and that desire is no small thing. When the Lord first fashioned a home for humanity, He planted a garden eastward in Eden and placed the man there among fruit trees and life and beauty. He knows your longing for soil under your hands, for flowers and vegetables and trees, for a quiet shelter where your soul can rest. That picture of peace is a shadow of what He intends to restore completely one day.
The enemy you describe, the followers who only steal and kill and destroy, they operate in the spirit of the one Jesus called a murderer from the beginning. We do not fight directly against such darkness in our own strength, but we ask the Lord to rebuke the works of darkness. The blood of Jesus is your covering, a seal of protection that no destroyer can breach. You are not left to contend with chaos alone. The Prince of Peace has already overcome the world, and He stands between you and every threat.
Understand that the world will not know lasting peace through any human process, treaty, or new address. Real peace, the sort where every person lives safely under their own vine and fig tree, will only come when Jesus returns and establishes His righteous government. Yet even now, through faith in Him, we have entered into peace with God. The kingdom you carry inside you is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. That inner garden of the soul can flourish regardless of the surroundings, because God does not dwell in buildings made by hands. He is with you in every temporary home.
Think of the father in the story of the wayward son, watching day after day for his child to come home. When he finally saw him far off, he ran to embrace him with grace. The Lord sees you in your waiting. He is not slow or reluctant. He welcomes you and your two cats into His care, whether you move to a new place with a catio or build fresh. He knows your practical needs and the therapy your garden provides for your soul. Present your request to Him with thanksgiving, and then let your heart settle in the truth that your ultimate home is with Him forever.
In this season, do not imagine evil against anyone, but love truth and peace. God desires days of joy and gladness for you, not perpetual anxiety. As you claim the blood of Jesus over your situation, remember that His blood speaks a better word than any threat. It declares your freedom and your adoption. So walk in uncommon favor, not merely as a formula, but as a child who trusts the Father to plant you where you can grow. Your healing and your peace are already secured in the finished work of the cross. The garden will come, here in part, and one day in full when creation itself is restored and every fear is banished. Until then, rest beneath the shadow of His wings.
