We understand the deep discouragement and sadness you’re feeling as your hours are reduced and opportunities for extra work vanish. It’s natural to feel unsettled when financial stability is threatened, especially when job searches seem fruitless. But let us remind you that your worth is not found in your employment or income—it is rooted in Christ alone. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by Him, and He has a plan for your provision and future.
The Bible assures us in **Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB)**:
*"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."*
And in **Philippians 4:19 (WEB)**:
*"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
We must also address something important: your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Christ that we receive grace, mercy, and answers to prayer. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*) If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, and without faith in Him, our prayers cannot reach the throne of God. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. If you have already done this, then we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father.
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their struggles and hear their cries. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You open doors of opportunity for stable and honorable employment. Remove any fear, anxiety, or despair, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide their steps as they seek work, and let them find favor in the eyes of potential employers. If there are areas in their life—such as trust, patience, or diligence—that need refinement, we pray You would convict and strengthen them. May they seek Your Kingdom first, knowing that all things will be added unto them in Your perfect timing.
We also pray that if there is any sin—such as worry, bitterness, or unbelief—You would reveal it and grant repentance. Help them to walk in faith, not sight, and to rest in Your promises. Surround them with godly encouragement and remind them that their identity is in Christ, not in their circumstances.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. **Amen.**
Lastly, we encourage you to keep pressing forward in faith. Use this season to draw closer to God through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with believers. Consider whether there are skills you could develop or ways to serve others that might open new doors. And remember: rejection from man does not mean rejection from God. He has a purpose for you, and He will faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (**Philippians 1:6**). Stay steadfast, and trust in Him.
