I Feel My Life Is Being Threatened

We hear the deep distress, fear and spiritual warfare you are experiencing and we come before the throne of God on your behalf with urgency and compassion. The Bible makes it clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil Ephesians 6:12. The experiences you describe of ritualistic behaviors hidden sacrifices and a pervasive sense of being targeted are consistent with the schemes of the enemy who seeks to steal kill and destroy John 10:10. We rebuke every assignment of darkness against your life your soul and your mind in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy has no authority over you if you are in Christ and we declare that authority broken now.

You mentioned needing Jesus Christ and God’s saving grace and this is the most critical need. There is no salvation no protection and no victory outside of Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 tells us that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. If you have not already we urge you to confess your sins repent and surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9-10 says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. This is the only way to have true peace protection and eternal life.

The fear and isolation you feel are real but they are also tools of the enemy to keep you trapped. We encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church or a trusted Christian who can stand with you in prayer and support. You are not alone and the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens Galatians 6:2. The enemy wants you to feel hopeless and powerless but God has given you authority in Christ to resist the devil and he will flee James 4:7.

We also want to address the spiritual practices you have observed. The Bible is clear that witchcraft idolatry and any form of occult activity are detestable to God Deuteronomy 18:10-12. Those who engage in these practices are indeed under the influence of the enemy but we do not believe that every person in law enforcement firefighting or other professions is knowingly serving Lucifer. Many are deceived and unaware of the spiritual forces at work around them. However we rebuke every demonic assignment against you and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper Isaiah 54:17.

Regarding the food and items you believe have been sacrificed to idols we advise you to exercise caution and discernment. The Bible warns against eating food sacrificed to idols if it causes a brother to stumble 1 Corinthians 8:13 but it also tells us that an idol is nothing in the world 1 Corinthians 8:4. If you are led to avoid certain foods or places do so as unto the Lord but do not let fear control you. Perfect love casts out fear 1 John 4:18.

We pray now for your protection deliverance and peace in the name of Jesus Christ. Father God we come before You with a heavy heart for our brother who is under spiritual attack. We ask that You surround him with Your angels and protect him from every scheme of the enemy. Lord we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper and that every assignment of darkness is broken now in Jesus’ name.We pray for his deliverance from fear isolation and despair. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. We ask that You provide for his physical needs and lead him to a community of believers who can support and encourage him. Father we pray for his salvation and surrender to Jesus Christ. If he has not already confessed Jesus as Lord we pray that he would do so now and experience the fullness of Your love and grace. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells him he is alone or powerless. We declare that he is a child of God and that greater is He who is in him than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We pray for his mind to be renewed and for him to walk in the authority and victory that is his in Christ Jesus. Lord we ask that You expose every hidden work of darkness and bring it to light. We pray for justice and righteousness to prevail in his life and in this nation. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Thank you.

We have read your letter with deep care, and we thank you for speaking so plainly that you need Jesus Christ and God's saving grace. That confession is the true ground of hope. Upon that one need all other needs must be laid, for there is salvation in no other, and God has provided it without money and without price through faith in His Son.

You describe great fear, as though every eye were against you and every hand were formed into a ritual to destroy you. Hear then what the Scripture says of fear. There is a servile fear which torments as a prisoner fears the judge, and there is a holy fear which moves the soul to fly to Christ. Faith was the living principle in Noah, but fear was the moving power, and that fear moved him to obedience. So we would have your fear become such a moving power, not to drive you into hiding or despair, but to put wings upon your heels to fly to Jesus. Perfect love casts out servile fear, yet it nourishes a reverent fear of God which keeps us near the mercy seat. If you forsake the throne of grace you may indeed feel forsaken, but when the Spirit draws you to the mercy seat, God is there, for He loves the mercy seat better than you do.

You also speak of being beset on every side, as though persecution followed you into the street and into the store. The people of God have often known what it is to feel that the world is against them, and we are told that persecution in whatever form it comes, even by slander and cruel mocking, is overruled by God to keep His people separate from the world and to drive them nearer to Himself. How many prayers have been offered through persecution that would never have been offered otherwise. Yet we must distinguish between the enmity of the world against Christ and the distress which arises when the mind is overwhelmed and sees threats where Christ would have us see His keeping power. Your life is hidden with Christ, and he that looks unto Christ walks safely. The promise stands, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. It is not look to signs in trash piles or offerings behind stores, nor look inward to decipher hidden rituals, but look unto Him. Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. That believing is a simple trusting, a depending upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation, leaving the whole matter in His hands.

You are right to see that sin and idolatry are real, and that the world does offer its sacrifices to false gods. But the deliverance you need is not to be found by tracing every supposed link or by answering every imagined ceremony. Deliverance came to Israel not when they unraveled Pharaoh's designs, but when the lamb was slain. So it is with you. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, He has found a ransom. That ransom is the blood of Christ, and by it He brings forth His people effectually. Salvation is all of grace. The tried and tempted man sees clearly that if he ever rises from despondency, he can take no honor to himself, it must be of free grace only. He can do nothing and he knows it, and therefore Christ must do all.

We will pray for you that the Lord will give you a clear mind, a calm heart, and a sure deliverance. We ask that He will cast out tormenting fear and give you holy fear which leads to obedience, that He will guard you from the fear of man which brings a snare, and teach you the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. We ask that He will draw you to look unto Jesus with a simple look of faith, and keep you looking, that you may know whom you have believed and be persuaded that He is able to keep that which you have committed unto Him. We ask that He will place you in the fellowship of faithful believers where you may hear the Word preached, sit by the well of salvation, and be refreshed, for every form of fellowship with Jesus wrought in us by the Spirit is a well of salvation.

Do not walk this path alone. Seek out a faithful pastor or a mature believer in a Bible believing church and open your heart to them face to face. Let them hear you, pray with you, and walk with you in the Word day by day. If you feel unsafe or that your life is threatened, please reach out at once to a trusted family member, pastor, or counselor, and in the United States you may call or text ### to speak with someone right away. Stay under the means of grace, in prayer, in Scripture, in the assembly of the saints, and cry mightily to Him who has promised that all who call upon Him shall be saved.

May the Lord bring you forth out of this pit by His own hand, and show you that He has found a ransom for you, even Jesus Christ the Lord.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter, pray for me, and respond with such care. I truly appreciate the encouragement and the reminder to keep my focus on Jesus. I’m going to keep praying and seeking God’s guidance through all of this.

Thank you.

That’s actually how all of this started. About three years ago, I went to local law enforcement because I genuinely felt like I was being set up and might be offed. After that, everything seemed to escalate. I was blessed enough to get my own apartment, but after moving out, I felt heavily targeted and eventually had to move back in with them.

Because of those experiences, it’s hard for me to trust law enforcement or feel comfortable reaching out again. I understand why you suggested emergency services or a helpline, and I really do appreciate you caring and trying to help. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about how frightened and exhausted you feel. Hearing that you believe you are being watched, targeted, and hunted, that everyday things like trash behind a store or food from a store feel like spiritual attacks, and that you feel trapped and running out of resources shows how heavy this burden has become. You also said you need Jesus Christ and God's saving grace, and that is the most important and hopeful thing you could say.

God has not looked away from your affliction. Scripture says He has not despised or turned His face from the afflicted, but when he cries to Him, He hears. He heard Jesus when He cried out, and He hears you when you cry out. Your salvation was planned long ago by the Father and carried out by Jesus on the cross. It is the work of the Father who chose, the Spirit who sets apart, and the Son whose blood cleanses, so that grace and peace can be multiplied to you. That salvation is not found in figuring out hidden systems or in decoding objects around you, but in Jesus Himself.

The Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear. The Lord is the strength of your life, of whom shall you be afraid. When fear is being poured out everywhere, that truth still stands. In the time of trouble He can hide you in His shelter and keep you close. Faith and fear cannot live together in the same place. When Peter looked at the wind and waves instead of Jesus, he began to sink and fear took over. When he looked back to Jesus and cried, Lord help me, Jesus was near and lifted him. Keeping your eyes on Jesus rather than on the frightening interpretations of what you see around you is where peace begins to return.

What you are experiencing feels absolutely real to you, and I do not want to minimize how terrifying that feels. At the same time, police officers and firefighters and strangers in stores are not operating on a hive mind and are not performing rituals against you. Piles of trash, bottles, or cologne left behind a store are litter, not a spiritual link to harm you, and food from a store is not by that fact sacrificed to idols. When the mind is under intense stress, exhaustion, and fear, ordinary things can begin to look like personal messages or threats. The enemy wants to keep you in that place of fear and isolation, but Jesus has shown His authority over every dark power. Even the unclean spirits trembled before Him and obeyed when He told them to be quiet and come out. He is stronger than any fear that grips you.

True salvation is not just believing that God exists, because even the evil spirits believe and tremble. Salvation is believing into a living, life changing relationship with Jesus Christ. It was Jesus who first spoke of this salvation when He said He came to seek and to save the lost and that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. Those who heard Him confirmed it and God bore witness to it. The promise still stands that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. That confession made now, willingly and from the heart, brings salvation. One day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Him as Lord, but then it will be forced and not unto salvation. Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Even the thief dying beside Jesus, with nothing to offer but the cry, Lord remember me when You come into Your kingdom, heard Jesus answer, Today you will be with Me in paradise. That same mercy is open to you today.

Your faith may feel like it is going through fire right now, but God can use even fiery trials to refine faith so it shines when Jesus is revealed. He does not want you to stay alone with these thoughts. Please reach out quickly to someone you trust in person, a pastor, a family member, a counselor or medical provider, and let them know you feel threatened and overwhelmed and that you are running out of resources. If you ever feel you may harm yourself or that you are in immediate danger, please go to a safe place and ask for help right away or contact a trusted crisis helpline in your area. You do not need to carry this alone, and practical help with rest, food, safety, and care is part of God's provision for you. It would also help to step away from things that increase fear and confusion, and to stay connected to Scripture, prayer, and steady, godly fellowship.

I am praying for you that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be glorified in you and that you will find rest in Him. May God deliver your soul from fear, be your light and salvation, hide you in His care in this time of trouble, cleanse you by the blood of Jesus, fill you with His Spirit, and give you grace and peace that grows. May He lift your eyes to Jesus, quiet the fear, and lead you into the life changing relationship with Him where you know you are heard, forgiven, and kept. In Jesus name, amen.
