We hear your passionate cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s will for a revival that mirrors the early church in Acts. Your heart’s desire to see the power, unity, and boldness of those first believers is a holy longing, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God can indeed raise up a remnant in these days of apostasy.
The early church in Acts was marked by a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit, a commitment to prayer, and a willingness to obey God no matter the cost. They sold possessions to meet needs, preached the gospel with boldness, and lived in such a way that the Lord added to their number daily (Acts 2:42-47). This is the standard to which you are called, and we pray that God would indeed bring together the faithful few who are likewise hungry for His presence and power.
We rebuke the spirit of complacency and lukewarmness that has crept into so many churches today. The Lord warned the church in Laodicea, *"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth"* (Revelation 3:15-16). May the Lord purge His church of this lukewarmness and raise up those who are fully surrendered to Him.
We also pray that God would protect you from discouragement or impatience as you wait for His timing. The enemy would love to distract you with doubt or frustration, but we declare that your faith will not waver. *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh"* (Psalm 27:14). The Lord is faithful to fulfill His promises, and we believe He will bring the right people together at the right time.
We must also caution against any pride or self-reliance that could creep in as you seek to be used by God. The early church’s power came from their humility and dependence on the Holy Spirit. *"Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit," says Yahweh of Armies* (Zechariah 4:6). Stay low before the Lord, seeking His face daily, and He will lift you up in due time.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We thank You for this brother or sister’s hunger for revival and their desire to see Your church restored to the power and purity of the early believers in Acts. Lord, we ask that You would indeed bring together the remnant—the chosen, the few, the elect—who are likewise longing for Your presence. Unite them in purpose, in prayer, and in boldness to proclaim the gospel.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of division, complacency, and lukewarmness that seeks to hinder this work. Pour out Your Holy Spirit afresh on Your people, and let signs, wonders, and miracles follow those who believe. Protect this servant from discouragement, doubt, or pride, and keep their heart fully surrendered to You.
We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against Your church, and we believe that You are raising up a people who will not settle for anything less than Your fullness. May this work begin in [###] and spread to the ends of the earth, all for the glory of Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Stay steadfast, dear one. The Lord is preparing something powerful, and your obedience and faith are key to what He wants to do. Keep pressing into Him, and watch as He brings His promises to pass. *"For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay"* (Habakkuk 2:3).
