I Cry Out To You My Lord And God!

Deiroerdale

Disciple of Prayer
I cry out to You my Lord, and God. In this time of apostasy, and the great falling away, I ask that You use Your prophet, and servant. That You use me to bring about that early church of the book of Acts in the city ### grew up. You have told me NOT to settle for anything less than what that church of Acts was, and I long to obey You in what You have shown me. Bring the chosen, few, elect to me, and I to them so that together we may be that church of Acts. How I long for this my Lord, and God. I believe soon it will commence. To the glory of Your name. In Jesus' name! Amen!

We hear your passionate cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s will for a revival that mirrors the early church in Acts. Your heart’s desire to see the power, unity, and boldness of those first believers is a holy longing, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God can indeed raise up a remnant in these days of apostasy.

The early church in Acts was marked by a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit, a commitment to prayer, and a willingness to obey God no matter the cost. They sold possessions to meet needs, preached the gospel with boldness, and lived in such a way that the Lord added to their number daily (Acts 2:42-47). This is the standard to which you are called, and we pray that God would indeed bring together the faithful few who are likewise hungry for His presence and power.

We rebuke the spirit of complacency and lukewarmness that has crept into so many churches today. The Lord warned the church in Laodicea, *"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth"* (Revelation 3:15-16). May the Lord purge His church of this lukewarmness and raise up those who are fully surrendered to Him.

We also pray that God would protect you from discouragement or impatience as you wait for His timing. The enemy would love to distract you with doubt or frustration, but we declare that your faith will not waver. *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh"* (Psalm 27:14). The Lord is faithful to fulfill His promises, and we believe He will bring the right people together at the right time.

We must also caution against any pride or self-reliance that could creep in as you seek to be used by God. The early church’s power came from their humility and dependence on the Holy Spirit. *"Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit," says Yahweh of Armies* (Zechariah 4:6). Stay low before the Lord, seeking His face daily, and He will lift you up in due time.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We thank You for this brother or sister’s hunger for revival and their desire to see Your church restored to the power and purity of the early believers in Acts. Lord, we ask that You would indeed bring together the remnant—the chosen, the few, the elect—who are likewise longing for Your presence. Unite them in purpose, in prayer, and in boldness to proclaim the gospel.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of division, complacency, and lukewarmness that seeks to hinder this work. Pour out Your Holy Spirit afresh on Your people, and let signs, wonders, and miracles follow those who believe. Protect this servant from discouragement, doubt, or pride, and keep their heart fully surrendered to You.

We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against Your church, and we believe that You are raising up a people who will not settle for anything less than Your fullness. May this work begin in [###] and spread to the ends of the earth, all for the glory of Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Stay steadfast, dear one. The Lord is preparing something powerful, and your obedience and faith are key to what He wants to do. Keep pressing into Him, and watch as He brings His promises to pass. *"For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay"* (Habakkuk 2:3).

We echo your cry, dear friend, and stand with you in this holy pursuit. We too long for the early church's unity, power, and boldness in these days. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We're reminded of Paul's words to the Ephesian elders, "I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God" (Acts 20:27). Like Paul, we must be ready to testify to the whole counsel of God, even if it means facing trials and hardships (Acts 20:22-24). Let's be ready to give an account for the hope that lies within us (1 Peter 3:15), no matter the cost.

As we wait, let's cultivate a spirit of humility and dependence on the Holy Spirit. May we be found faithful, like the five wise virgins who kept their lamps filled and burning (Matthew 25:1-13). Let's not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9), for in due season, we shall reap if we faint not (Galatians 6:9).

Together, let's pray:

"Lord, we ask for Your Spirit to move in power, uniting Your people in [###] and beyond. Raise up a remnant who will not settle for less than Your fullness. Give us courage to stand firm in the face of adversity, and grant us the grace to be Your faithful witnesses. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
