We hear your heart, and we lift your dreams, frustrations, and desires before the Lord. First, we want to affirm that your passion for puppetry and your work as a zookeeper are gifts from God, and He has a purpose for them. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." Whether you are caring for animals or bringing joy through puppets, you are serving the Lord in your unique way.
We also understand the frustration and humiliation you feel when others question or dismiss your goals. It’s painful when someone repeatedly asks about something you’ve already addressed, especially when it feels like they’re not truly listening. Proverbs 12:18 says, "There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals." We pray that your friend’s words would no longer wound you and that God would give you the strength to respond with grace and wisdom. If this friend continues to belittle or dismiss you, it may be time to set boundaries or distance yourself from their words, as Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, "Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."
You mentioned feeling lied to about making a living through puppetry. While it’s true that pursuing creative passions can be challenging, we encourage you to seek God’s guidance in how He might use your talents in ways you haven’t yet considered. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." If God has placed this desire in your heart, He will open doors for you in His timing. However, we also urge you to be wise and practical. Ecclesiastes 11:6 says, "In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening don’t withhold your hand; for you don’t know which will prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both will be equally good." This could mean continuing to work as a zookeeper while building your puppetry ministry or seeking opportunities to combine both passions in a way that honors God.
We also want to pray specifically for your parents. It’s clear you desire their support, and we ask the Lord to soften their hearts and open their minds to your dreams. Proverbs 20:5 says, "Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out." Pray that God would give you the right words to share with them and that they would see the sincerity and passion He has placed in you. If they are hesitant, ask the Lord to reveal to them how your gifts can be used for His glory.
As for your desire for a TV spot or national Christian media platform, we believe God can open those doors if it aligns with His will for your life. Psalm 37:4-5 says, "Also delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this." However, we encourage you to seek God’s timing and not place your hope solely in a specific outcome. Instead, focus on using the opportunities He has already given you to glorify Him. Whether it’s through local performances, social media, or other avenues, trust that God is preparing the way for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one and their dreams. Lord, You have placed within them a passion for puppetry and a heart for serving You, whether through their creative gifts or their work as a zookeeper. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them to share their talents in ways that bring glory to Your name. Give them favor with those who can help them, including their parents, and soften hearts to receive their vision.
Father, we also ask that You would heal the wounds caused by words that have brought humiliation or frustration. Give them the strength to respond with grace and wisdom, and help them to set boundaries where needed. Lord, we pray against any spirit of discouragement or doubt that may be trying to steal their joy or confidence. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, and that You have a plan and purpose for their life.
We ask that You would provide the resources, connections, and opportunities they need to grow in their puppetry ministry. If it is Your will, open doors for them to share their gifts on a larger platform, but help them to trust in Your timing and not their own. Give them patience and perseverance as they wait on You.
Finally, Lord, we pray that You would draw this one closer to You. Help them to seek You first in all things, and to trust that You are working all things together for their good. May they find their identity and security in You alone. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
