I committed lust badly this time, I can't be forgiven

Caden202

Humble Servant of All
It was till 9pm and now it's 1:30AM, I have wasted so much time and I was so lustful. I feel so guilty and I have to go to bed so I can't even read the Bible, if I were to die I wouldn't go to Heaven I am terrified.

We hear the deep guilt and terror in your heart tonight and we want you to know that what you are feeling is not beyond the reach of God's mercy. The enemy wants you to believe that you have committed something so bad that you cannot be forgiven, but that is a lie. The truth of Scripture is that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. There is no lust, no wasted hours, no failure so great that the blood of Jesus cannot wash it away. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us Psalm 103:12.

We do want to speak honestly with you because God calls lust sin. Jesus said that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28, and we are told to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. This is serious because our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and sexual sin is sin against our own body and against God. Godly sorrow like you are feeling can lead to repentance, but condemnation that tells you to run from God and that you would not go to heaven if you died tonight is not from God. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1, and if anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous 1 John 2:1. Your fear shows you care about your relationship with God, but your standing before God does not depend on whether you read your Bible for a long time before bed or on having a perfect day. It depends on Jesus.

We notice you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request and we must lovingly tell you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To be forgiven and to have assurance of heaven is to repent of our sins and to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting that He died for our sins and rose again. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is not by our own effort or by never failing, but by grace through faith in Him.

We understand you feel you wasted time from 9pm to 1:30am and that you are exhausted and cannot read the Bible at length now. God is not asking for a long reading tonight to earn forgiveness. He hears a simple honest prayer from a repentant heart even in bed. You can confess to Him now, ask for forgiveness through Jesus, and trust that you are forgiven. Tomorrow you can return to the Word and redeem the time, but tonight you can rest in His mercy. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13. We encourage you to make that way of escape practical tomorrow by putting boundaries in place, removing access to what causes you to stumble, confessing to a mature Christian believer for accountability, and pursuing purity with your eyes and mind.

We pray together with you now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear soul who is crushed with guilt and fear tonight. We confess before You the sin of lust and the time wasted and we ask for Your forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. Wash this heart clean, remove this transgression as far as the east is from the west, and let there be no condemnation. Lord, calm this terror about death and eternity and give assurance that salvation is in Jesus alone. Grant peaceful sleep tonight and strength tomorrow to walk in purity, to flee temptation, and to seek You first through Your Word. Help this one to know that Your mercies are new every morning and that You invite us to come boldly to Your throne of grace. We ask for a renewed mind, a hatred for sin and a love for holiness, and for hope that is anchored in Christ. We pray this in the precious and only saving name of Jesus, amen.

Acknqlesge your sin and that you need help and can't do this alone without God. You must pray and ask the Lord for help. Lord I am not worthy that thou shouldn't come under my roof say the word only and my servant shall be healed. Thank you Father God for helping us to fight back agaisnt and ressot the urges to sin lust. Chastity and sibriety is very hard thank you for loving us and protecting us. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

We can hear how heavy this night has been for you. Staying up until 1:30 after wrestling for hours, feeling guilty and afraid that you have used up your chance to be forgiven, that is an exhausting and lonely place to be. Thank you for being honest about it.

One thing we have seen often is that the feeling of being unforgivable can linger even after we have turned honestly to God. Deciding to turn from what we have done and ask for mercy is one thing, and the churning emotions of guilt and fear often take longer to settle. Feeling terrified does not mean you are beyond mercy. It often just means your heart is still catching up.

You do not have to fix everything tonight before you sleep. You do not need a long perfect prayer or to stay up reading to earn your way back. A simple honest turning to Jesus, even in a few sentences before you rest, is enough for tonight. Get some sleep, and then tomorrow when you are rested, take some unhurried time to open your Bible and to talk with a trusted pastor or mature believer if this struggle keeps weighing on you.

Father, we bring our brother to You tonight. You see his guilt and fear and his desire to be clean before You. Cover him with Your mercy through Jesus, quiet his fear as he sleeps, and draw him close to You tomorrow with renewed hope. In Jesus name, amen.

There is forgiveness with God even for the sin that now so terrifies you, and it is to be had now. You write that you cannot be forgiven, that you have wasted hours in lust and feel so guilty that if you were to die you would not go to Heaven. That very fear shows that your conscience is not yet hardened, and the Word of God meets that fear with a sure promise, There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared.

Do not believe the whisper that your sin is too great or too repeated to be pardoned. The forgiveness which God gives is a divine forgiveness. I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. It is not a partial pardon, but a complete blotting out. If you have been the chief of sinners, there is a chief of sinners forgiveness to be had, and God is honored in bestowing it. It is unlimited in its character, and it is eternal, and it is only to be obtained from God, through Jesus Christ His Son and His precious blood.

And this forgiveness takes no appreciable period of time for God to give. Behold, now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation. You say it is now half past one in the morning and you must go to bed and cannot even read the Bible. You need not wait for morning, nor for a chapter to be read, nor for a feeling to come. Believe right now in Jesus Christ, God's Son, and you have forgiveness now, in a moment. The way of salvation is simply to believe on Him, that is, to trust in Him as the one who bore sin in your place. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. Leave the whole matter of your present and eternal salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence.

Your terror has in it something that may become a gracious moving force. There is a servile fear which makes a man afraid of God as a culprit is afraid of a judge, and there is a holy fear which perfect love embraces and nourishes. Noah was moved with fear, and that fear moved him to obedience, to fly to the ark. So let your fear put wings upon your heels to fly to Jesus. A holy fear will make you fear yourself because of your sinfulness, and fear lest you should fall again, and so keep you near to Christ. When guilt is truly forgiven, guile is forsaken. The work of the Son in removing guilt is linked with the work of the Spirit in removing guile. While David kept silence and would not confess, his conscience was under a fearful strain, but when he humbled himself and confessed his sin, he found blessedness.

Therefore do as you are, even tonight before you sleep, without the Bible open before you. Tell the Lord the truth without guile. Confess all your guilt in lowly words, just as you would if you were stretched upon a dying bed. Do not hide nor excuse this lust, but own it as sin against a holy God who made sex and all intimacy to belong only within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage, and outside of that to be fled from. Ask not that God would bless what He calls sin, but that He would for Christ's sake forgive it and cleanse you from it.

If by faith you can accept the matchless atonement which covers all your guilt, then you are even now among the blessed, for blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. This sentence contains no conditions added to Christ, and it sets free from every stain. Having been forgiven, you will come to love and fear Him not with a slavish dread, but with a holy awe. That is the design of forgiveness, that you may be feared, that you may love and worship and serve Him.

Do not stay in despair. Pray now, though it be late, Lord, forgive me for Jesus sake, and wash me in His blood. Believe that He does so. Then tomorrow, when you rise, open the Word again and walk in the obedience which is the gracious fruit of faith and holy fear. He not only forgave you at the first, but He continues daily to forgive those who trust Him. Seek His Spirit to give you a new nature that hates the sin you once indulged, and to keep you. May the Lord grant you this night to know that there is forgiveness with Him, and may that forgiveness teach you to fear Him all your days.
