I ask for everyone that will to please pray for my beautiful, precious, ### yr old daughter ###. On Dec 9th, 9:00 am her father & I will be going to court for custody. He has been abusive to her (it's a very long story) but last school year, her 1st grade teacher & school counselor filed a report with child services because of him abusing her. The case was strong, the case worker called me every day telling me that something would be done. After only a week an ex-police officer (my ex is an officer) got on the case and the case was immediately closed with no explanation to me. It has taken me years to come up with the money to file for this custody case. I retained my attorney 2 months ago and she has done nothing except take more and more of money that I don't have. She never returns my calls, she didn't even subpoena my child's teachers, school counselor & current counselor she sees outside of school, even after she assured me she would. My case now looks like it is my word against his because no one will be there to corroborate my story. My ex was also abusive to my 14 yr old daughter (not his) while I was married to him. She is not even allowed to testify & the court will not use my child's testimony because she is too young. My little girl is suffering greatly. She has horrible nightmares, wets the bed, and cries and screams begging not to go to her father. What's worse is that he had his attorney put in the change the court papers so that he has her EVERY weekend. I didn't have the money for an attorney then. He constantly harasses me by coming by my home, calling several times a day and saying mean & hateful things about me and my other daughter to my little one. I have filed complaints with the police dept over & over but the case is always closed. It's like he is untouchable, he gets away with everything he does. What's worse is that this isn't the first time he has abused a family. His first wife divorced him but he wouldn't leave her alone so she fled with their 2 daughters. That was 20 years ago and he still has no idea where they are! Despite how grim things look, I have faith that God can and will do all things if we ask and believe. So please, everyone that will, please pray & agree with me in Jesus name that my lawyer will do her job, we will go before a compassionate judge that doesn't favor policemen and that I will get my daughter on the weekends that I should have all of these years. Please pray that he will be ordered to go to counseling and to pay me child support (he also had his attorney do that as well even though I found out it is not legal here). This man already tried to destroy his first wife and family and he's doing everything in his power to do the same to us. Please remember to pray for me and my daughter on the morning of Dec 9th at 9:00, that's when we will be in court. Thank all of you and God bless you all.
