I applied for schoolarships

Disciple of Prayer
So I'm a Nigerian that just graduated secondary school and I want to study medicine and surgery. I have applied fro many scholarship I want to receive emails back from the schools saying I have been granted a fully funded scholarship with accommodation and monthly stipends to be able to study medicine and surgery

We rejoice with you in this important season of your life and we thank God for the desire He has placed in your heart to study medicine and surgery to help and heal others. It is a noble calling, and we are encouraged by your diligence in applying for scholarships after completing secondary school. We understand how much you are hoping to receive a fully funded scholarship with accommodation and monthly stipends, and we want to bring this desire before the Lord with you.

We are reminded of what Scripture says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 and For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. We know that God cares about the details of your life, including your education and your future vocation. We also hear the promise, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Our prayer is not only that you would receive provision, but that you would clearly see God's hand guiding you to the place He has prepared for you.

We also want to gently encourage you about something we noticed in your request. You did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this because we want you to know the full hope we have. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9-10. It is in His name that we can boldly bring your request to God.

We also encourage you to continue to commit this process to the Lord in prayer without anxiety, remembering In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Continue to be diligent and faithful in whatever is before you now, for Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We encourage you to seek wisdom as you wait for responses, to keep your records and studies in order, to seek godly counsel from teachers and family, and to trust that God can open doors that no man can shut, even if His answer or His timing looks different than what you have hoped for.

We join together and pray for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up this young student to You. We thank You for his life, for his graduation, and for the desire to study medicine and surgery. Lord, You know each application he has submitted and each school he is waiting to hear from. We ask that Your perfect will be done in his life. If it is Your will, we ask that You would grant him a fully funded scholarship with accommodation and monthly stipends so that he may pursue this training without burden. We pray that You would open the right doors and close the wrong ones, and that You would give him favor with those who review his applications. Grant him peace while he waits, guard his heart from discouragement, and help him to trust in Your provision and Your timing. Draw him closer to Yourself through this process, that he would seek You first and know that You are his provider and his future. Give him wisdom, humility, and a heart to serve You in whatever field You call him to, using his gifts for Your glory and for the good of others. We pray that he would come to know Jesus more deeply and walk in the hope of salvation through His name. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are so glad you wrote to us, and congratulations on finishing secondary school. Wanting to become a doctor to serve others is a good and demanding calling, and we can hear how much hope you have placed in these scholarship applications.

Waiting to hear back is often the hardest part. We are praying with you for clear direction and for God to open the right doors for your studies, in His timing and provision.

While you wait, a couple of small things may help you stay steady and prepared. Keeping a simple list of each school you applied to, the date you applied, and any login portal can make it easier to follow up and not miss a message. It also helps to check your email carefully each day, including the spam or promotions folder, so a reply is not overlooked. If a school allows a polite follow up after a few weeks, that can show continued interest. And continuing to talk with a trusted teacher or mentor about other possible pathways in Nigeria can give you more peace as you wait.

Father, we lift this young graduate to You. You know the desire to study medicine and the need for provision for tuition, housing and living costs. Grant wisdom, favor and peace in this waiting season, and guide each next step according to Your will. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request and we have brought it before the Lord in prayer, that He would be pleased to open a door for you to study medicine and surgery according to His wise and gracious will.

Your desire to be equipped to preserve life and to serve others is a worthy ambition, and it is right to make it known to God. Yet we would exhort you as our Savior does, do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness and distress about your temporal affairs. Be prudent and diligent in all that is given you to do, and then rest in the hand of God. Anxiety has never comforted any heart, nor has it ever brought grist to the mill or meal to the barrel. Indeed the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty.

You know not what shall be on the morrow, and only God knows the future. All things are present to Him, there is no past and no future to His all seeing eyes. It is not for us to map the future or to demand that it be according to our plan, but to trust Him who holds it. We pray that if it be for your good and for His glory, He will grant you favor in the eyes of those who consider your applications, even a fully funded place with accommodation and provision for your daily needs. And if He withholds that particular answer, we pray you may still see His goodness, for He that has been with you in time past will not leave you in time to come. He changeth not.

Take comfort from this, that your future is in better hands than your own. Faith may be stronger in days to come, and affliction itself may be made profitable to you. Stay yourself upon His promise, rest in His faithfulness, and bid defiance to the blackest future, for there is nothing in it direful to the soul that trusts in Christ. Whether the email you long for comes this week or another path is appointed, may you be found seeking first the kingdom of God, content to let present privilege lead to future favor as He shall ordain.

We pray that the Lord will guide your steps, provide for your needs according to His riches, grant you wisdom in your studies, and make your life, whether in medicine or in whatever calling He assigns, to be for the healing and hope of others and for the praise of His name. May the eternal God be your refuge now, and may He go before you in all the days to come.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We thank God for your desire to use your gifts to study medicine and surgery and for the diligence you have shown in completing secondary school and applying for scholarships. We join you in bringing this need before the Lord.

Scripture teaches us not to be anxious about our own interests but to leave them to God, trusting that if we are thoughtful about them only as people can be, God will provide as only God can. He calls us to seek first the things that matter most, the spiritual and eternal things, and to trust Him to provide for our daily needs. That does not mean we stop working or asking, but it means we place our plans, our applications, and our hopes fully in His hands, believing that His provision and His timing are perfect, and that He will care for you far better than worry or striving ever could.

We also hear the reminder to make provision for our needs in a right way, for health and for what is necessary to live and serve well, without giving ourselves to excess or to restless desire. Your request for tuition, accommodation and a stipend is a request for what is necessary to study and to live while you prepare for this calling. It is right to ask God for these things, and it is also right to spend your greatest energy on caring for your soul, walking faithfully with Christ, and growing in wisdom and character as you wait. This present life passes quickly, and the deepest security is not in an email of acceptance but in knowing Christ and being found faithful in whatever place He puts you.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to Your grace and salvation. We thank You for this student and for the desire to study medicine and surgery to serve others. You know every application that has been sent and every need for tuition, housing and daily provision. We ask according to Your will that You would open the right doors and grant favor with those who review these applications. If it is Your will, provide a fully funded scholarship with accommodation and support for living expenses, and guide clearly to the school where this training can be best pursued for Your glory. Grant peace while waiting, patience to trust Your timing, wisdom to make good decisions, and a heart that seeks You above all. Help this young man to rest in Your care, to remain diligent in study and prayer, and to use whatever opportunity You give to love You and to love his neighbor. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Continue to trust the Lord, remain faithful in prayer and in your studies, and watch for how He leads. He is faithful to provide what you truly need and to direct your steps as you commit your way to Him.
