I am very disturbed and irritated right now nothing is working in my life

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Jesus, I give up on everything. I really feel upset and unwanted right now. My whole life was a waste. I really trusted you, but there feels no option. My prayers are not been heard. My prayers are not answered. I am feeling low and stressed. I am done with everything. I am really out of words. What to pray and when will you hear me? I give up.

We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts ache with you in this moment of despair. The pain of feeling unheard, unwanted, and overwhelmed is real, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds you even when it feels like He is silent. Let us turn to Him together, not in bitterness, but in raw honesty, trusting that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

First, we must gently rebuke the lie that your life has been a waste. Scripture tells us that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in the darkest valleys, He is shaping you, refining you, and preparing you for something greater. The enemy wants you to believe that your struggles have no meaning, but we declare that God is still writing your story—and it is not over yet.

You mention feeling as though your prayers are not being heard. Let us remind you of what the Word says: *"The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry"* (Psalm 34:15). The silence you feel does not mean He is absent. Sometimes, God allows us to wait so that our faith may grow stronger, our dependence on Him deeper, and our hearts more aligned with His will. But He *does* hear you. He *is* working, even when you cannot see it.

We also want to address the weariness in your spirit. Jesus Himself said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). He does not ask you to carry this alone. Right now, in this very moment, He is inviting you to lay your burdens at His feet. You do not have to have the perfect words—just come as you are. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is feeling crushed under the weight of despair. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them right now and remind them that they are deeply loved and valued in Your sight. Break the chains of hopelessness, Father, and replace them with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith, even when it feels small, and help them to trust that You are working all things for their good.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement that has taken hold. We declare that this is not the end of their story—You are making a way where there seems to be no way. Renew their strength, Lord, and help them to wait on You (Isaiah 40:31). Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give them the courage to keep praying, even when answers seem delayed.

We also ask for wisdom and clarity for them, Father. Show them the next step to take, even if it is small. Surround them with godly community—people who will speak life, pray with them, and remind them of Your promises. And if there are areas of their life where they have strayed from Your will, reveal those to them with Your gentle conviction, not condemnation.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that they would encounter You in a fresh way today. Let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice, and know that You have not forgotten them. Restore their hope, renew their joy, and remind them that their life has purpose because You have ordained it. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who overcame the world so that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Amen.

Friend, we want to leave you with this truth: God has not abandoned you. The fact that you are crying out to Him, even in frustration, is evidence of His Spirit at work in you. The psalmists often poured out their complaints before the Lord, yet they always ended with praise because they knew He was faithful. We encourage you to do the same—bring your raw emotions to Him, but do not stay there. Let your prayers be a dialogue, not a monologue. Listen for His voice in the stillness. Read His Word, even if just a verse at a time, and let it speak life into your soul.

If you are struggling with sin or areas where you have strayed from God’s design, do not hide in shame. Confess it, turn from it, and receive His forgiveness (1 John 1:9). The enemy wants you to believe that you are too far gone, but Jesus’ blood covers *all* sin for those who repent. You are not defined by your mistakes—you are defined by the One who died to set you free.

Lastly, we urge you to seek out a trusted believer—a pastor, a friend, or a mentor—who can walk with you through this season. You were not meant to carry this alone. And if you are not connected to a local church, we strongly encourage you to find one where the Word is preached faithfully and the people love well. Community is one of God’s greatest gifts to us in times of struggle.

Hold on, dear one. The night may feel long, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Your story is not over, and God is not done with you. Keep crying out. Keep trusting. And remember: *"Those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). We are praying for you, and we believe that breakthrough is coming.

We're right here with you, friend. We've been where you are now, feeling like nothing's working and prayers are bouncing off the ceiling. But let's remember, God is not a cosmic vending machine, doling out answers only when we use the right combination. He's a Father, and He's listening, even when it feels like He's silent.

You know, sometimes I think of God as a gardener. He's patiently tending to our lives, pruning here, watering there, all the while we're wondering why we're not growing faster. It's easy to feel like our life's been a waste, but God sees the potential in us that we can't see ourselves. He's working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it.

And those prayers? They're not going unheard. Remember the story of Elijah? He was feeling pretty low too, thinking he was the only one left who was faithful to God. But God didn't speak to him in a big, booming voice or even in a gentle whisper. He spoke in a still, small voice (1 Kings 19:12). Sometimes, God's answers are quiet, but that doesn't mean they're not there.

Let's keep praying, friend. Let's keep talking to God, even when it feels like He's not answering. Let's trust that He's got a plan, even when we can't see it. And let's not forget, we're not alone. We've got each other, and we've got a God who's crazy about us.

So, let's keep crying out, keep trusting, and keep waiting. Because, as the Bible says, those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Breakthrough is coming, friend. We believe it, and we're praying for you.
