I am not going to go back to Church or read the Bible and pray anymore

Dexter2020

Faithful Servant
I am not going to go back to Church or read the Bible and pray anymore and now it has proven that Jesus is listening but not responding so I will leave you. I will be more happy. INJ Amen.

We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and our hearts ache for you. It’s clear that you feel hurt, possibly even abandoned, and we want you to know that we are lifting you up in prayer right now. The feelings of disappointment and doubt you’re experiencing are real, and we don’t take them lightly. But we must also speak truth in love, as Scripture calls us to do.

First, we want to gently remind you that your statement about Jesus listening but not responding is not entirely accurate according to God’s Word. The Bible assures us that God hears the cries of His children and responds in His perfect timing and according to His perfect will. Psalm 34:17-18 says, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* His silence does not mean He is absent. Often, His silence is an invitation to draw nearer to Him, to trust Him even when we don’t understand.

You mentioned leaving the Church, the Bible, and prayer behind, and we must warn you that this is a dangerous path. Hebrews 10:25 warns us, *"Not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."* The Church is the body of Christ, and we are called to walk together, not in isolation. When we step away from fellowship, we step away from the very support and accountability that God uses to strengthen us. The Bible is our lifeline—it is the living Word of God, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it is our guide in times of confusion and doubt. Prayer is our direct line to the Father, and without it, we cut ourselves off from the very source of peace and hope.

You also said that you will be "more happy" without these things, but we must ask: is this truly happiness, or is it a fleeting emotion? True joy and peace come from God alone. Psalm 16:11 says, *"You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."* Worldly happiness is temporary, but the joy of the Lord is eternal. If you walk away from Him, you may find temporary relief from pain, but you will also walk away from the only source of lasting fulfillment.

We also notice that you ended your message with "INJ Amen," which we assume means "In Jesus' Name." This is a powerful declaration, and we must remind you that praying in Jesus' name is not just a phrase to tack onto the end of a prayer—it is a recognition that we come before God *only* through the sacrifice and mediation of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you are truly praying in Jesus' name, you are acknowledging that He is your Lord and Savior, and that should compel you to seek Him even in your pain.

We want to rebuke the lie that walking away from God will bring you happiness. The enemy wants nothing more than to isolate you, to make you feel alone, and to convince you that God has abandoned you. But we declare over you that God has *not* abandoned you. He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He is working even when you cannot see it. We also rebuke the spirit of bitterness and offense that may be taking root in your heart. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Bitterness will only poison your soul, but forgiveness—even when it’s hard—will set you free.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling hurt, disappointed, and ready to walk away. Lord, we ask that You would break through the walls of pain and doubt that have been built up. We declare that You are near, even when we cannot feel You. We ask that You would soften this heart, Lord, and draw him/her back to You. Remind him/her of Your faithfulness, Your love, and Your promises.

Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that say You are silent, that You do not care, or that walking away from You will bring happiness. We declare that true joy is found only in You. We pray that You would reveal Yourself in a powerful way to our brother/sister, that You would open his/her eyes to see Your hand at work even in the midst of this struggle.

Lord, we ask that You would restore his/her love for Your Word, for prayer, and for fellowship with Your people. Surround him/her with believers who will speak life, encouragement, and truth. Give him/her the strength to forgive those who may have hurt him/her in the Church, and help him/her to see the Church as You see it—a body of imperfect people who are being transformed by Your grace.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, Lord, and that You would be glorified in it. Amen.

We encourage you to press into God, even when it’s hard. The Christian walk is not always easy, but it is always worth it. James 1:2-4 says, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the trial of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* Your pain is not in vain. God is using it to shape you, to refine you, and to draw you closer to Him.

If you are feeling alone, reach out to a trusted believer—a pastor, a friend, or even a Christian counselor. Do not isolate yourself. We are here for you, and we will continue to pray for you. But more importantly, God is here for you. He has not left you, and He never will. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, *"Yahweh himself goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged."* Hold onto that promise. We love you, and we are standing with you in this battle.

Hey there,

We've been thinking about you and wanted to share a little more from our hearts. We know that feeling hurt and disappointed can be overwhelming, and it's easy to feel like God is silent or not responding. But remember, even in the quiet, God is always at work.

We've been reminded of a story in the Bible, in 1 Kings 19. Elijah was feeling alone and discouraged, much like you might be feeling now. He was ready to give up, but God met him in a gentle whisper. God didn't respond in the way Elijah expected, with a powerful wind or an earthquake, but He showed up in a quiet, personal way. Sometimes, God's response might not be what we expect or want, but that doesn't mean He's not there.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God, even if it's hard. Keep reading His Word, even if it's just a little each day. Keep praying, even if it's just a simple, "God, I don't understand, but I trust You." Keep connecting with other believers, even if it's just a phone call or a message.

We're here for you, and we're praying for you. We believe that God is going to meet you in a powerful way, just like He did for Elijah. Keep your eyes open for those gentle whispers. They might just change everything.

Take heart, dear friend. God is with you, and He's not finished with you yet.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I am disappointed with Jesus so now I stopped going to church, stop reading the Bible and prayer as it is OK. Non-believers are better than Christians and when I was fr ### in the faith Jesus also did not provide and or answer my prayer so now is this situation.
