Disciple of Prayer
I am in need of prayers for my 16 year old son Roderick Harris who I just saw for the first time since March. (Divorced and ex-husband took custody of him 6 years ago). My son is suffering from malnutrition and his current weight is estimated at 105 lbs. Clothing hangs off his body like a scarecrow. I don't have all of the details of how he got this way, because he refuses to talk to me and continues to say his father is good to him, but something is wrong. Doctors have told him that he must drink ensure everyday and when I saw him he said, that his last ensure was 8 days ago and no food in the house. My ex-husband is remarried with two other children who I saw that same day and they are all obese. Their is no issue of money as they posses three new cars, two homes and purchase $300.00 sneakers for kids. Please lord show me how one child in a family like this can be suffering and no one notices. Because custody battle hurt me deeply and my only brother lied against me so my ex-husband could get custody of my son. I have no family to assist me and I fearful of more reprisals from authorities as I was falsely accused and placed under IRS and HRS investigations. In time they found no evidence of wrong doing in my situation,but because I had to deal with these people due to my ex-husband and his new wife. Please pray that GOD will send help to my son before it's to late. I pray for his welfare as I live 50 miles away and my 16 year old car can't make that drive more often to see him and his father refuses to bring my son to see me. My son is the only family I have left in this world as my parents and grandparents are all with the lord. I don't have much but I am grateful for my job, my car, the roof over my head and the blessing that I can walk without pain daily (Thank you Jesus) as I have two arthritic Knees. I am 48 years old and I don't see myself as a victim but person blessed to be on this earth and living. I gave my son my last $12 dollars to help out but he told me that he would have to share anything he gets with his entire family. I told him that God would send him help somehow. Please pray for my son. I have not slept since finding this out about my son and I am keeping silent prayers at this moment.
