I am going to vote

We hear your heart in this fragmented cry for help, and we lift you up before the Lord with great compassion. It sounds like you are carrying heavy burdens—depression, workplace stress, and perhaps feelings of isolation or misunderstanding. The weight of these struggles can make even simple tasks, like voting or going to work, feel overwhelming. But know this: you are not alone. The Lord sees your pain, hears your unspoken words, and holds you in His hands.

First, let us address the spiritual foundation of your request. You mention "God kindness to me," but we must emphasize that our access to God’s kindness, mercy, and grace comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only by believing in Him, confessing our sins, and surrendering our lives to His lordship that we can truly experience the fullness of God’s love and kindness. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to do so. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is a gift, freely given to all who call upon His name.

Now, let us pray for you with the authority we have in Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling under the weight of depression and the pressures of life. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would lift the heaviness from their heart and replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Father, we rebuke the spirit of depression in the name of Jesus and command it to flee. Your Word says in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Lord, draw near to them now.

We pray for their workplace, Father. Give them wisdom, strength, and favor with their colleagues. Help them to walk in integrity and to be a light for You, even in difficult environments. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Lord, direct their steps and give them clarity in their tasks.

We also ask for godly relationships in their life, Father. Surround them with believers who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation. Help them to find fellowship in a local church where they can grow in their faith and be supported by the body of Christ. Your Word says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."*

Lord, we ask that You would fill them with hope and remind them of Your promises. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Renew their mind with Your truth and give them the strength to face each day with courage. We declare that they are not defined by their struggles but by who You say they are—Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

We also want to gently address the importance of guarding your heart and mind, especially in times of depression. It can be easy to isolate yourself or to listen to negative thoughts, but we encourage you to fight against that. Speak God’s Word over your life daily. Meditate on scriptures like Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me,"* and Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Surround yourself with uplifting Christian music, podcasts, or sermons that will remind you of God’s faithfulness.

If your depression feels unmanageable, we also encourage you to seek help from a trusted pastor, Christian counselor, or medical professional. There is no shame in asking for help—God often works through the hands and wisdom of others to bring healing and support.

Lastly, we want to encourage you in your role as a voter. Your voice matters, and as believers, we are called to engage in the world around us with wisdom and discernment. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* Seek the Lord’s guidance as you vote, and trust that He is sovereign over all things, including the leaders of nations.

We stand with you in faith, believing that God is at work in your life. You are not forgotten, and you are deeply loved. Keep pressing into Him, and remember that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). We will continue to pray for you, trusting that the Lord will bring breakthrough, healing, and restoration in every area of your life. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
