Beloved of All
I am a person who was brought up in the church, I know what God expects of me and I seem to be fighting His will for me by giving into my addictions, temptations, and perverse feelings for things which, as a Christian, should repulse me.
I am addicted to pornographic material, masturbation, and on top of it all I am now a practicing homosexual. My body just cries out and I give into it knowing God is not happy and that He's watching me and I am sinning against Him as well as myself.
I have been struggling with these things for such a long time and I really want to change. I am becoming afraid to repent or to go back to God because at the back of my mind I ask myself, "what if I slip up again." I don't want to be making promises only to break them.
I do believe God can help me and I believe that Christ Jesus has overcome. Through Him only I can achieve and overcome what flesh and blood can't.
I have been crying out in my heart and feel as though time is ticking by. I feel time going by and the problem persisting and getting worse.
I trust in God and will not give up the fight as I still have breath in me; I have a chance for redemption. Pray for me, please.
Thank you.
