I admit

I admit I have been ignoring you and I am glad that I've asked you to remind me. Not knowing what to say. I really don't know what to say. My brain is always an energy. I don't know.

We hear your honest confession and we thank you for sharing it with us, and we rejoice that you have turned back and asked to be reminded, for that is the work of God's grace drawing you. You said you have been ignoring Him and that you do not know what to say, that your brain is always full of energy and racing, and we want you to know that God is not disappointed by your lack of words, He is pleased by your honest heart.

The Lord knows our weakness when we do not know how to pray. In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. Romans 8:26. You do not need perfect words, you only need to draw near to Him. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:8. And when we confess that we have ignored Him or wandered, we have this promise, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and peace for our restless minds. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To be saved and to know God, we believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is Lord, that He died for our sins and God raised Him from the dead, and we confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9. If you have not yet done so, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ today, for He is the one who quiets the storm within us.

For your racing thoughts and that feeling that your brain is always full of energy, God offers a different way. Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We encourage you to set aside even a few quiet minutes each day to be still before Him, to read His Word, to breathe a simple prayer like Jesus, help me, or Father, I am here, and to cast all your worries on Him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together for this dear one who has honestly confessed ignoring You and feeling unable to find words, whose mind feels constantly full of energy and unrest. We thank You that You have stirred their heart to return and to ask to be reminded of You. Forgive them for turning away, cleanse them and draw them close as they draw near to You. Lord, we ask You to quiet their mind and give them Your perfect peace as they fix their thoughts on You. Teach them that they do not need eloquent words, that Your Spirit intercedes when they cannot speak, and help them to be still and know that You are God. Fill them with the assurance that they are loved, forgiven, and heard through the blood of Jesus Christ, and give them a renewed hunger for Your Word and Your presence each day. Guard their heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus and lead them into rest. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep coming to Him simply and honestly, even with just a few words, and to let His Word renew your mind day by day. He hears you, He loves you, and He will give you rest.

I realized that I have been focusing on other stuff and haven't even realized what's in front of me. This is not to make me look like a better person. I don't know what to say.

Father, thank You for this honest heart before You. You see the weariness and the mind that feels full of energy with no words to express it. Draw near with Your nearness and care, quiet what feels overwhelming, and help them know they are heard and loved in Christ. Lead them step by step and give them rest in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your honest confession is itself a mercy, and it has not gone unheard. When you say you do not know what to say, you are in the place where many anxious seekers have stood before you, crying to God in the chamber with groans and tears that they would not have another hear, and meaning what they say though they have no fine words to bring.

Do not think that the Lord requires eloquent speech from you. He that quickens the soul makes us to become little children again, and the child prays, Teach me. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God. That is the counsel of Scripture. We are ready to go to books, to go to men, to any ceremony, except to God, but the word is, let him ask of God. It does not say let him buy or earn from God, but let him ask, as a beggar asks an alms in the street, and God will give far more liberally than we give to the poor. So come as a beggar to Him now, for Jesus sake, and ask Him by His Spirit to lighten your darkness and to remove your ignorance. You may say, O Father, I have no wisdom and no words, teach me and guide me into Thy Book, and be my guide there.

It is a comfort that if your thoughts cannot bear you up to Him, His thoughts can bring Him down to you. How precious are His thoughts unto us, how great is the sum of them. He is thinking about you even now, and He knows the restless energy of your brain, the weariness of not knowing what to say. The Lord Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us, and He understands the sigh that has no language. Through His blood, shed as the Just for the unjust to bring us to God, you are brought near, not left as a leper afar off, but brought as near as the accepted offering before the veil.

Stay not away from the means of grace while you wait. Be found where His Word is opened, and bring all thoughts to the test of His Words, for you may safely rest in words which urge you to faith in God, and you can never be wrong in resting upon the Words of God Himself. Pray the Holy Spirit to put you into order with God and to sweeten your soul with the sacred thoughts of Christ, who set His face steadfastly to do the Father's will for such as you.

We will pray for you, that the Lord will give you quietness of mind, a childlike trust, and a renewed delight in His Word, and that you may know what it is to awake and be still with Him, kept near to God by precious thoughts of His mercy in Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

To admit before God that you have been ignoring Him and do not know what to say is already to begin to pray. That honesty is itself a sacrifice of praise that God receives, and it shows that His grace has been at work to remind you and draw you back.

You do not need perfect words. Prayer is not measured by eloquence but by a heart turned toward the Father through Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that even the lifting up of hands in a simple cry is a sacrifice before Him, and that when we do not know how to pray as we ought, the Spirit helps us. To say, I have ignored you, I do not know what to say, is enough for God to hear and answer.

Do not think that turning away has closed the door. Repentance is not excluded for those who return. What is impossible is to be renewed as if Christ must be crucified again, but to be renewed by repentance itself is always open to you. The Lord taught His own people who already call Him Father to pray daily, forgive us our sins, precisely to show that after His great gift of forgiveness, mercy remains for those who sin and return. If He commands us to ask for forgiveness, He surely promises to give it.

Your mind feeling like constant energy, restless and anxious, is the very reason we need prayer as a weapon and an anchor. Each day is like a storm with many rocks, and we need favorable winds to pass through it without shipwreck. Prayer early in the morning and again at night makes God favorable to us, and then even when enemies or anxieties rise, we can go into the day with security.

So begin simply and steadily. In the morning before your thoughts scatter, and at night before you sleep, speak plainly to God. Tell Him what you have told us. Give thanks even for small mercies, because thanksgiving in all things is part of how our requests are made known to Him. Do not be anxious about finding the right phrases. In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Remember also that you are under a King whose kingdom and power and glory are greater than any enemy or anxious thought that presses on you. He is at hand, and He has promised to be with His people always. He does not desire only that you escape punishment, but that you be saved and have life with Him.

I will pray for you, that God will give you a calm and attentive heart, that He will forgive what is past upon your confession through Jesus Christ alone, that He will teach you to pray with simple trust, and that His peace will guard you. Continue to come and to speak honestly, even with few words, and He who hears in secret will answer with mercy.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about where you are. Admitting that you have been ignoring God and that you do not know what to say is itself a prayer, and God hears it.

You do not need to have the right words or a quiet mind before you come to Him. Scripture says He has searched you and knows you completely, He understands your thoughts from afar and knows what you need before you speak. He knows the racing energy in your mind right now, and that does not push Him away. Such knowledge is beyond us, but it is comfort, because you are fully known and still fully loved.

It is difficult to pray when you do not know what God's will is in a situation, and you do not want to pray against His will. The real purpose of prayer is not to get God to do what we want, but to see His will accomplished. That is why you do not need to worry when you do not know how to pray. God has made it simple. When you do not know what to pray, you can simply say, Lord, Your will be done. That is a prayer He always answers.

This is also where the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. The Bible says we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered. When you sit with no words, only a sigh or a confused thought, the Spirit is taking that to the Father according to the will of God. Your groaning is not failure, it is an invitation for Him to pray through you.

You may wonder what God is thinking toward you after you have ignored Him. His thoughts toward you are not evil or angry thoughts. They are thoughts of peace, to give you hope and a future. He is not reluctant to help you and does not need to be begged. He is more willing to give than we are to receive. How do we know God is for us? Because He did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up to die for us all. If He gave the greatest gift at the cross, how will He not also freely give you all that you need in this moment, including grace, clarity, and peace.

You do not need a special posture or perfect eloquence. Whether you kneel, stand, lie down, or simply whisper in the middle of a busy day, He hears. You do not earn His attention by doing better or promising to do more. Righteousness before Him does not come by your resolve but by trusting what Jesus has done.

So keep coming as you are. You can pray something as simple as this, Lord, search me and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts. I do not know what to say and my mind feels restless, but Your will be done in my life. Draw me closer to You and teach me to love what is eternal. He will meet you there, and He will use even this season of uncertainty to show you more of yourself and more of His faithful love.
