Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this prayer so openly. I have prayed for you in the precious name of Jesus Christ, asking the Lord to pour out His Spirit upon you and to guard you in His power and peace.
Scripture gives you a firm place to stand. There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. A new law is at work in the believer, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, which sets us free from the law of sin and death. It is like a greater power expelling a lesser one. What you could never do in your own strength, the Spirit of God does in you when you walk with Him.
The Bible declares that you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells in you, and if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in those who belong to Him, and that Spirit gives life and strength for today. This is the heart of being born again. Once our spirit was dead and alienated from God, who is Spirit and must be worshiped in spirit and in truth. When we are born of the Spirit, our spirit is made alive again, and in that living spirit we meet God, know Him, and have fellowship with Him. His Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children then heirs with Christ.
That is why a mind set on the flesh is alienated from God and cannot know Him, but a mind governed by the Spirit thinks on the things of God and has life and peace. You do not overcome the deeds of the flesh or the pressures and fears around you by trying harder in yourself. You mortify the deeds of the flesh by the Spirit, through His help and power. You sow to the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, and are led by the Spirit, and you reap of the Spirit.
This is also your confidence against every work of darkness. The Spirit you have received is not the spirit of the world, which is rebellion against God, but the Spirit which is from God, that you might know the things freely given to you by God. The Lord is able to take a life, restore it, and deliver it from the powers of darkness. No form of witchcraft or word spoken against you is greater than the Spirit of the living God who dwells in you. The question is not whether evil intends harm, but whether you are resting in the One who is far greater and who has already overcome.
So I prayed that God would fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit, that you would know more deeply that you are His child, and that you would walk in step with Him day by day. I asked Him to grant you what Scripture calls a spirit of excellence, not striving in the flesh, but faithfulness, diligence, and wisdom that comes from a life controlled by His Spirit, and to make your work a testimony to His grace. And I prayed that every trap or work of darkness intended to cause you to fail would be broken and rendered powerless by the Lord Jesus, that you would be guarded and kept in His perfect protection, and that fear would be replaced with assurance.
Keep looking to Jesus, yield your body and mind to the Spirit, spend time in the Word and in prayer, and trust the witness of the Spirit that you belong to God. He who has begun this work in you will be faithful to keep you and to cause you to stand.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. Fill them anew with Your Spirit, let the law of the Spirit of life in Christ reign in them, give them a mind stayed on You, grant them excellence and steadiness in all You call them to do, and deliver them from every power of darkness. Let them know with full assurance that they are Your child, kept by Your power, with no condemnation and no fear, for You who raised Christ from the dead dwell within them. Amen.
