We join you in lifting up your husband before the Lord in this time of sickness and we ask for God's healing hand to be upon him. We thank God for your marriage and for the love and care you show for your husband in bringing his need before the Lord, for marriage is a holy covenant ordained by God between a man and a woman and it is good to see you honoring that bond through prayer.
We know that our God is the great physician who heals all our diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 tells us to praise Yahweh and not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 the Lord says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also remember James 5:14-15 which says Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently share why that name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To know healing and eternal life we must put our trust in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again and confessing Him as Lord. If you have not already done so we encourage you to call upon His name in faith.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear husband to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see his suffering with this flu, You know his body and every symptom he is enduring. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon him, to ease his fever and congestion, to restore his strength and to grant him restful sleep and complete recovery. We rebuke this sickness and ask that You would drive it from his body and renew his health according to Your mercy. Comfort his heart and his wife's heart with Your peace that passes understanding and remind them that You are near to all who call upon You. Give wisdom for proper care and rest and guide any medical help that is needed. We trust in Your goodness and Your power to heal. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to care for him with love and patience, to ensure he has rest, fluids and appropriate medical care as needed, and to keep praying with thanksgiving trusting that God hears. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Keep standing on His promises and keep seeking Him together.

We were glad to see your request and we have been praying for your husband since we read it. It is hard to watch someone you love be so sick with the flu, and we can hear how much you care for him.

Your request on behalf of your husband has been heard, and we count it a privilege to bear his sickness before the throne of grace with you.
Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, and it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought, for it has stayed plagues and brought down blessings from on high. When you plead for another, you follow the very incense of our Great High Priest, who ever lives to make intercession, and there is not a single grain in His censer that is for Himself alone.
We are reminded that the Lord hears the prayer of a staggering man, even the prayer that seems to have no order in it because the one who prays is at his wit's end. A true prayer from one who is near unto the gates of death is a prevailing prayer, and though you were a long while before you prayed, He will not be a long while before He answers. Let your prayer rise to His throne out of this low place of affliction, expecting that He will be very pitiful and have compassion upon you in your misery.
There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and those leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed.
Therefore, spread your case before Him and press your suit with all the arguments you can muster, pleading His own Word back to Him. Pray after this fashion, Remember the Word unto Your servant, for true prayer is just reminding our heavenly Father of His promises and asking Him to fulfill them. Come in humility of spirit, without self conceit, and tell the Good Physician of your husband's fever and weakness, for only those who have been healed can tell of His healing power, and He delights to be sought.
We will pray with you now, that the Lord in His mercy would lay His hand upon your husband, ease his sickness, restore his strength, and raise him up to praise the Lord for His goodness. And if it be His will to continue the affliction for a little season, that He would sustain you both, quicken you in His way, and cause this trial to work for your good and His glory.
