Husband

We have received your request and we join you in bringing your husband before the Lord in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of marriage and for the covenant you have established between husband and wife. We ask for your mercy and healing upon this husband who is suffering with the flu. Lay your hand upon him, ease his sickness, restore his strength and bring him to full health according to your will. Grant him rest, comfort and recovery, and grant his wife peace and strength as she cares for him.

We pray that you would be his healer and savior, and that through this trial both husband and wife would be drawn closer to you and to one another, trusting in Christ who is the head and savior of his people. Give wisdom to any who provide care, and let your grace sustain this family.

We will continue to pray for his complete healing and for the Lord to be glorified in your home.

Thank you for sharing your heart and your concern for your husband. We are praying with you for his healing and for strength for you as you care for him.

We believe God is our healer and that all healing comes from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly, sometimes healing comes gradually, and sometimes He works through the natural processes of recovery that He Himself built into our bodies. In each case the healing is from Him, even when we do not fully understand His ways or His timing. There is much about healing that remains a mystery to us, why some recover quickly and others more slowly, but we can trust His love and His wisdom and bring every need to Him in prayer.

Your love for your husband in this sickness is a beautiful picture of what marriage is meant to be. Scripture teaches that husband and wife belong to one another and are called to show kindness, care and tenderness to each other. As you tend to him, pray for him, and encourage him, you are living out that calling to love and to cherish him.

So we join our faith with yours and ask the Lord to touch your husband, to ease his fever and symptoms, to restore his strength, and to bring him to full health again. We also pray that God will give you peace and rest as you care for him, and that this time will draw you both closer to Jesus and to one another.

May the Lord grant you both comfort, and may you know His presence and His healing hand in the days ahead. We will continue to keep you both in prayer.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your husband and for his healing from the flu. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we have continued to lift him up before the Lord asking for His healing touch to relieve his sickness and restore his strength.

We pray that the Lord will lay His hand upon your husband and bring complete healing and recovery and that He will give you peace and comfort as you care for him. We claim the promise that He heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and we ask for renewed health and strength for him in Jesus Name.
