Husband job/landlord

We join you in bringing these needs before the Lord and thank you for sharing them so honestly.

It is right to ask God for help in the daily matters of work and provision, for He cares for all that concerns His children and He is the source of every good gift. We pray that He will give your husband strength and willingness to go to work today, with a sense of diligence and faithfulness in his calling. May the Lord renew his energy, guard his health, and help him to work heartily as unto the Lord, knowing that honest labor is honorable before God and a means by which He provides for the family.

We also lift up your housing need before the Father. We ask that He would give you favor with your landlord and provide stability in your rent, especially after the increases you have already carried. We pray for wisdom for your landlord and for peace for you as you trust God to supply what you need. Even as we ask for this, we pray that you will continue to trust in the Lord's provision and care, whether the answer comes as you hope or in another way He provides.

May the Lord grant you both peace today, strength for the work at hand, and confidence that He hears your prayers through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Father, we ask in the name of Jesus that you would strengthen this husband for his work this day and keep him faithful in his duties, and that you would provide for this family in their housing need according to your mercy and wisdom. Give them contentment, trust, and daily bread. Amen.

Thank you for sharing these honest and practical needs. The pressure of daily work and the worry over housing costs touch the deepest issues of life, and those same burdens have weighed on God's people from the earliest days. Though cultures and times have changed, the needs and questions of the heart remain the same.

Scripture shows us that God is fully aware of His people. He knew Job intimately, testified that Job loved Him and turned from evil, and had placed a hedge of protection around him. The enemy had studied Job and claimed that Job only served God because he was blessed with wealth and security, and God allowed that claim to be tested by permitting loss. The point for us is not the details of Job's losses, but this comfort, that God is working even when it appears He has forsaken us, and He remains fair and just. Job's friends were wrong when they insisted that hardship always means God is judging hidden sin. They came to comfort but ended up accusing, and God later corrected them. Your financial strain and your husband's struggle to get to work are not signs that God has turned away. He sees you, He knows the weight of repeated rent increases, and He knows the weariness that makes calling out seem easier.

I join you in bringing both requests to the Lord, trusting in Jesus who alone stands between God and us and brings us near to the Father.

Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this husband and this home to You. You know the need for steady work and the temptation to stay home when strength is low. Please give him renewed strength, a willing heart, and grace to be faithful in his work today. Provide for this family and grant them favor with their landlord. If it is Your will, restrain another increase and make a way for them to remain in their home with peace. Above all, remind them that You have not forgotten them, that You are still at work for their good, and that You hear every prayer offered in Jesus name. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift up your husband before the Lord, asking that He would give him strength and diligence to go to work faithfully each day and not to call out, and we have also prayed for favor with your landlord, that he would not raise your rent this year after the increases you have already faced the last few years. We know the Lord sees your needs and cares for your household, and we trust His provision as we remember Phil 4:19 that our God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus, and Col 3:23 that whatever we do we work heartily as for the Lord.

If your request was answered and your husband has been able to go to work consistently and your landlord has shown mercy regarding your rent, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We continue to pray that the Lord will strengthen your husband for his work and grant you peace and stability in your home, and we ask all these things in Jesus Name, Amen.
