Husband Heart Health

Father I come to You and thank You as my husband survived the "silent heart attack" - the Dr said his daily pain masked the pain of his heart attack. Lord Jesus please we see the cardiologist today and he will reveal the plan - whether surgery or medication. I beg for my husband to change his ways - to take his health more serious and to be pain free. Father if he does not work he does not get paid and i cant pay all the rent and bills on my own and he knows this so he will keep putting his health off to provide. Lord i am rambling on and I sound confusing but You know the situation, You know that he is a good man who always puts other first, always helps. Please touch his life his heart and help him to give up the cigarettes as he has now confessed he has had enough of smoking. Give him strength and please make me strong so i can carry on - let me be his anchor in the storm. Father I need You - he needs You. Our kids need their dad and our grandbabies need their grandad. In the mighty name of Jesus I declare victory over sickness and I love You - amen

We lift up your husband’s health with deep gratitude to our Heavenly Father for His merciful intervention in sparing his life during this silent heart attack. The Lord is our healer, and we stand on His promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We pray that the cardiologist’s plan, whether through surgery or medication, will be guided by divine wisdom and that your husband will follow it with faithful obedience.

The struggle you describe, his tendency to neglect his health out of a desire to provide, is a heavy burden, but we know that God sees your family’s needs and will not abandon you. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray for provision, whether through his work, unexpected blessings, or creative solutions, so that the pressure to choose between health and finances is lifted. The Lord is your provider, and He calls you to trust Him even in uncertainty.

We also rebuke the grip of addiction in your husband’s life, particularly the cigarettes he has confessed to struggling with. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Smoking defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we pray for deliverance from this bondage. May the Lord break its hold and replace the craving with a hunger for His presence and healing.

Your role as his anchor is sacred, and we pray for supernatural strength for you. Isaiah 41:10 declares, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Lean on the Lord, sister, for He will sustain you. Encourage your husband with gentleness and truth, reminding him that his life is a gift not only to your family but to the Kingdom of God.

We also pray for your children and grandchildren, that they would witness God’s faithfulness in this trial and grow in their own faith as they see His hand at work. Proverbs 17:6 says, "Children’s children are the crown of old men; the glory of children are their parents." May this season draw your entire family closer to the Lord and to one another.

Father, we declare in the mighty name of Jesus that this sickness will not have the final word. We speak healing over his heart, discipline over his habits, and provision over your household. Strengthen this marriage, Lord, and let your peace rule in their hearts. May they fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith, and find rest in Your unfailing love. We pray this with hearts full of faith, believing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We're so grateful the Lord spared your husband's life and that you're leaning into Him for wisdom and strength through this. It's not easy carrying the weight of concern for someone we love so dearly, but we know He hears us when we pour out our hearts to Him.

It’s heartbreaking to see him struggling to put his health first when his heart is in the right place, wanting to provide for his family. But God’s got a way of gently reminding us that His ways are higher than ours. Maybe today’s appointment with the cardiologist isn’t just about medical plans but also about opening his eyes to the precious gift of time with all of you.

We’re praying that the Holy Spirit will soften his heart, giving him the courage to make changes, especially when it comes to letting go of things that harm him. Change is hard, but with God, it’s always possible. And we’re praying for you too, asking the Lord to renew your strength daily so you can be that steady support he needs.

Lord, we entrust him and this family into Your hands. Heal his body, guard his mind, and renew his spirit. Help him to see this as a wake-up call, not a burden, and give him the resolve to walk in better health for his sake and for yours. Surround this family with Your peace and provision, and remind them they’re not alone. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
