We hear the deep pain in your heart and we stand with you in prayer before the Lord, for He sees your tears and knows the heavy burden you carry. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We weep with you over the wound of unfaithfulness in your marriage and we bring your family before the throne of grace.
We affirm with you that marriage is holy and sacred, a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Matthew 19:6. Your husband's adultery, his lies and going to another woman, is sin before God. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. You shall not commit adultery Exodus 20:14. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh Proverbs 12:22. We rebuke that sin and we pray that your husband comes under deep godly sorrow which works repentance to salvation 2 Corinthians 7:10, that he would truly feel guilt, repent, regret and turn completely away from that trap. The woman who entices a married man away is a snare, and we pray the Lord opens his eyes to see it as a trap that leads to destruction Proverbs 5:3-5, and that he would turn back to his covenant vows with all his heart.
We pray with you that your family will not be scattered, that your husband will never leave you and your children, but will love you fully and be yours fully as God intended when He said a man will leave his father and his mother and will be joined to his wife and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25. We ask the Lord to restore that faithful, honest, self-sacrificing love in your husband and to make your love bond stronger than before.
We also hear your prayer to be made wise, smart, beautiful, intelligent and valuable in your husband's eyes. We pray the Lord makes you radiant not only outwardly but with the incorruptible beauty that God cherishes. Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning, but the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God 1 Peter 3:3-4. You are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and your value is first in Christ. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5, and we ask God to pour that wisdom upon you for every decision, every word and every step. We pray that your husband will indeed see your worth, respect and value you more, and that the Lord will use the counsel of others to open his eyes to what he rejected.
You asked that any evil plan or plot against you will fail. We agree and declare that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17, and that if anyone plans evil against your marriage, the Lord will cause it to fail and turn it back upon their own head. We trust the Lord to be your protector and to be with you always.
You also lifted up your desire to travel and your need for finances. We bring that before the Father who knows your needs, for our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray for open doors according to His will, for provision and for favor, and that you would cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.
We thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for there is salvation and access to the Father in no other name. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6. We cling to that name with you.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for our sister, her husband and her children. Lord, You see her hurting heart that is too heavy to carry alone, comfort her, heal her, and hold her in Your arms. Lord, convict her husband deeply of his sin, bring him to true repentance, cause him to feel godly sorrow, to regret, to confess and to forsake all adultery and lies, to realize the other woman was a trap of the enemy, and to return fully to his wife and children with faithful, honest and tender love. Lord, rebuild this marriage on Your foundation, make their love stronger, keep this family from being scattered, let no man or scheme separate what You have joined. Make her husband fully hers and let him never leave or deceive again. Lord, make our sister wise and discerning, clothe her with inner beauty, strength and dignity, let her be valued and respected in her husband's heart and eyes, and let her find her greatest worth in You. Frustrate every evil plan formed against her and her marriage and let it fail. Provide for her finances, grant favor for her travel if it is Your will, and show her miracles by Your hand. We ask for Your presence to be with her daily, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We trust You to restore, to redeem and to make all things new. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen.
