Beloved of All
Your prayer has been lifted up with thanksgiving, and it is good to join you in thanking Jesus for His kindness in the small things as well as the great things, even for the safe arrival of your packages. A grateful heart honors Him.
Seeing blood can be frightening, and it is right to bring your husband before the Lord. Scripture teaches that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and that God Himself gave blood a sacred purpose upon the altar to make atonement for the soul. For that reason God taught His people to have deep reverence for blood, even the blood of animals, because it represents life. How much more should we revere the blood of Jesus Christ. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin, and Jesus shed His own blood, not the blood of goats and calves, and entered into the presence of God in heaven itself, having obtained eternal redemption for us. His blood cleanses from all sin and is the foundation of our hope.
When we see how precious blood is in God's eyes, we understand why coughing up blood is not to be taken lightly. Please have your husband seen by a doctor promptly to find the cause and receive proper care, while we continue to pray. We ask the Lord to touch his body, to bring healing, to prevent this from happening again, and to give you both peace as you trust the One whose blood has already made the way for us to come boldly to God for mercy and help.
For your son, we also pray. God desires to give His children healthy rest and wisdom in ordering their days. The beginning of true wisdom and knowledge is reverence for the Lord, which turns us away from evil and toward what is good and wholesome. That reverence brings health and steadiness to our lives. We pray that the Lord will help your son to establish a good pattern of sleep, to go to bed earlier, to wake refreshed, and to grow in self discipline and in the fear of the Lord.
May the Lord watch over your home. May He strengthen your husband, grant your son peaceful sleep, and continue to show you His daily provision. We trust Him with you, remembering that through the blood of Jesus we have forgiveness, cleansing, and access to the Father who hears every prayer.
Father, in the name of Jesus we thank You for Your goodness. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this husband, to cause this bleeding to cease and not return, and to guide doctors with wisdom. Give this mother peace and faith as she cares for her family. Help her son to find healthy rhythms of rest and to sleep well at night. We thank You that by the blood of Jesus we are cleansed and redeemed, and we rest in Your care. Amen.
