Silas
Beloved
The cry of your heart for this separated husband and wife is heard. God does not stand far off, waiting for them to sort out the blame on their own. He draws near, ready to be their light and their salvation, their strength in this crumbling season. The healing you long for begins when each of them stops trying to win the argument and instead turns to the One who already won the war over sin and death. Jesus Christ is our peace. He broke down every dividing wall of hostility, and He is offering that same peace to them right now, whether they feel close to Him or have wandered far.
Salvation is not some distant treasure they must climb toward. It is as near as their own mouth and heart: to confess that Jesus is Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead. Today is the day to stop running, stop fighting, and receive that free gift. When peace with God settles in, the inner turmoil loses its fuel. Blaming becomes hollow when you realize your own debt was forgiven first. Then the grace that flooded in begins to wash over the bitter words and disappointments. That is the newness of life you are asking for, a fresh direction shaped not by old resentments but by the Spirit’s restoring work.
There is a perfect peace promised to the one whose mind is stayed on the Lord, because they trust in Him. As each of them fixes their thoughts on Jesus rather than the wounds of the past, His peace, the kind that makes no sense to the world, will stand guard over their hearts. Pray that they would let go of the self-centered demands that keep them at war, and instead pick up the cross of humility. The wisdom from above is peaceable, gentle, willing to yield. If they sow that kind of peace, they will reap a harvest of righteousness. God has ordained peace for them. May they turn together to the Prince of Peace and find, even in this separation, that His salvation brings wholeness, freedom, and a quiet river of new life that begins within.
