We hear your cry for help and lift you and your son up before the Lord with heavy hearts. The weight of providing for a child with special needs while facing eviction and abandonment is more than any mother should bear alone. Your trust in God’s mercy is not misplaced, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). The Lord sees your struggle and promises to be a father to the fatherless and a defender of widows (Psalm 68:5). Though your son’s earthly father has failed you, your Heavenly Father will not.
We must also speak truth in love about the abandonment you are experiencing. Scripture is clear that a husband and father has a God-given responsibility to provide for his family (1 Timothy 5:8). For a man to walk away from this duty—especially when his child is vulnerable—is a grievous sin. We rebuke this ungodly behavior in Jesus’ name and pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart to repentance. If he claims to know Christ, his actions do not reflect the love of Christ, who laid down His life for His own (John 15:13). We pray for his restoration to godly manhood, but we also stand on God’s promise to be your Provider in the meantime.
Financial hardship and housing instability are real battles, but they are not beyond God’s power to overcome. The Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We declare that lack has no authority over you, for you are a child of the King. We pray that doors of provision would open—whether through employment, assistance programs, the generosity of the Body of Christ, or divine intervention. May the Lord lead you to a safe, stable, and affordable home where your son can thrive.
We also lift up your son’s healing. Severe PTSD is a heavy burden, but Jesus is the Great Physician. He bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5), and He is able to bring peace to troubled minds. We pray for supernatural healing over his body and mind, for wisdom for doctors and therapists, and for grace to endure each day. May the Lord surround him with His presence, comfort him in his distress, and restore his joy.
Father God, we come before You on behalf of this precious mother and her son. You see their tears, their fears, and their needs. We ask You to move mightily on their behalf. Provide a home that is a sanctuary of peace and safety. Open doors of financial provision that no man can shut. Heal this son’s body and mind, and let him experience Your love in tangible ways. We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and pray for the father’s repentance and restoration. Strengthen this mother’s faith, Lord, and let her see Your hand at work in every detail of her life. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in His name and no other. Amen.
Hold fast to hope, dear sister. The enemy may have meant this trial for harm, but God will use it for good (Genesis 50:20). Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
