House

We come before the Lord with a humble heart, lifting up this request for the sale of your house. Father God, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we trust in Your provision and timing. We ask that You open the right doors and bring the right buyer who will appreciate this home and offer a fair price. Lord, we pray that this transaction would be smooth and free from any complications or delays.

"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain." (Psalm 127:1 WEB) We recognize, Lord, that it is You who ultimately provides and guides us in all things. We surrender this process into Your hands, trusting that Your will be done.

We also pray for peace and patience during this time of waiting. Help the one making this request to rest in Your promises and not be anxious, for You care for them deeply. "Don’t you be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

Father, we rebuke any fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to take root in this situation. We declare that Your favor rests upon this home and that the sale will happen in Your perfect timing. May this transition bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your faithfulness. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We know how much weight a house sale can carry, the waiting, the finances, the "what ifs" that can keep a person up at night. We're praying with you for a timely, fair outcome, and we trust God sees your need.

In the meantime, it can help to take a practical look at your listing. Maybe walk through your home as a buyer would, noting any small repairs or clutter that might distract from its best features. If you haven't already, talk with your real estate agent about feedback from showings and whether the pricing still fits recent sales in your area, even a modest adjustment or some fresh curb appeal can sometimes open the door. That's not to say you aren't already doing these things, but sometimes taking one concrete step helps loosen the grip of the waiting.

More than anything, we're praying you sense God's peace in the middle of the uncertainty. He's not distant from your daily concerns. We can hand Him the outcome each morning, and then take the next practical step in front of us.

Father, we bring this house to You. You know the right time and the right price, and You see the hope and hard work bound up in these walls. Please send the right buyer, remove any unseen obstacles, and give wisdom in every decision. While we wait, quiet anxious thoughts and replace them with a steady trust in Your provision. In Jesus' name, amen.

The house you long to see sold is but a temporary shelter of wood and stone, yet you are a purchased possession, bought not with silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ. Look at the text again: "You are not your own: for you are bought with a price." Value is clearly here, for you are bought with an immense price. How great a store ought man to set by himself as before God, for he is a purchased possession. Though precious enough to have been bought with a price, yet none of the preciousness is yours. Believer, you are the goods and chattels of Christ, as you were once sold under sin, so are you now bought with a price.

In this matter of your house, the sleet may beat in your face, but keep His way, come fair, come foul. The righteous shall keep God's way, and so must you, trusting not in the swiftness of a sale but in the wisdom of Him who appoints the time and the price. I like a man whose mind is set upon being right with God, a self-contained man, by God's grace, who does not need patting on the back and encouraging, and who, on the other hand, does not care if he is frowned at, but has counted the cost and abides by it.

Consider the house to let with no tenant, where no fire burns on its hearth and no warm smoke ascends the chimney, therefore there lies the snow. Just as the warmth is inside so the melting will be outside. Let the warmth of the Spirit fill your heart with contentment, and the external circumstances of frosty delay will melt according to His will. What gain it is to feel that you are no longer the servant of men or of market whims, because you are bought with a price.

You say, "I need the right price, I need the sale soon." Go on with the list. "I need a thousand things." Hear Him answer: "I will not forsake you. I will see you through the trial. I will carry you over the difficulty. I will bear you on. I will lift you over. I will bring you out. I will abide with you to the end." If this blessing comes without money and without price from His hand, no soul need be without it, and certainly no child of His should be without patience while waiting for it. The difficulty is that His price of simple trust is too low for human pride, sinners will not come down to it, and saints too often fret alongside them.

You need not look within to gauge the outcome, the exterior of a quiet confidence is sufficient index. I do not need anything better than this, anything truer than this, anything safer than this. Having got this promise, it shall abide in me, in my heart, in the very bowels of my life. Test Him as often as need arises; there is nothing like putting Christ to the test.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for a house to be sold quickly and at a fair price. Let me ask you: what is the house you should chiefly care for? The body is a house, and it falls to the earth; the soul dwells in a tent that must be dissolved. If we do not take by violence, yet we often bargain with a grasping spirit, striving to get more than is just. When you set your price, examine your heart: is there not a whispering greed that would cheat the buyer of a few coins? Injustice is judged not by the measure, but by the intention. A cut-purse and a sharp dealer both work the same theft. Think of hell, and the fire that never dies. Fear that more than a slow market, and you will set a just price even if the house waits. For what does it profit to gain a few coins and lose your soul?

This house you want to sell is a shadow, a dead thing carried through the market-place. Today it stands; tomorrow it is another’s. You cannot keep it forever. When the corruptible house falls, do you rejoice? Rejoice if it sells and gives you means to do good, but mourn if its sale feeds only your comfort. The pearl of great price is the truth of Christ, sell all lesser loves to buy it. If you must lose a little profit, give thanks. If the house lingers unsold, give thanks. For we are strangers and pilgrims, and the servant of sin does not abide in the house forever, but in hell forever, without consolation.

Pray then not chiefly for the sale, but for a heart detached from mammon. Beseech God that whether the house sells soon or late, for much or little, you may accept it with humility, knowing that His judgments are always before you. Let the fear of the judgment-seat keep you from covetousness. If the Ninevites feared destruction, they were spared; if you fear the loss of Christ more than the loss of a bargain, you will be spared the fire. Let your prayer be this: “Lord, let this house go when and how You will, only build for me a mansion in Your kingdom.” For that is the house that never falls, and its price is a broken and contrite heart.

I’m praying with you that your house sells soon and at the right price. While we wait on the Lord’s timing, it’s easy to let a sale become an anxious fixation, but Scripture warns us how quickly a place of blessing can turn into a house of idols when our security shifts from God to a transaction. The right price isn’t ultimately about what the market says; it’s about trusting the Redeemer who owns everything and knows exactly what you need.

Think of how Naomi was forced to sell a field she couldn’t redeem, yet God raised up a kinsman-redeemer to restore far more than property. Your house, too, is part of a larger story He’s writing. Solomon built a magnificent house for the Lord and yet declared that the highest heavens cannot contain Him. If God isn’t limited by a temple, He certainly isn’t limited by a real estate listing. His provision often comes in ways we don’t script.

So I’m asking the Lord to bring an honest buyer quickly, with an offer that reflects His care for you. But even more, I’m praying that during this transition you’ll know the deeper rest of the prodigal who discovered his father’s house was better than any far-off country. The Lord doesn’t save by market trends or perfect timing. He can open doors no one can shut. May this season become a Bethel, a place where you meet Him, rather than a place of worry.

Keep looking up. The right outcome is in capable hands.

This Saturday we have a showing on our house. We need it to sell. God, please let the buyers make an offer. There is a beautiful farmhouse for sale 3 minutes from my sister, and if we can sell this house now, we can get that one. Jesus I pray!
