house ins

The house of this present life is but a tabernacle, a tent so easily taken down, and you are feeling its stakes being pulled from the ground. You ask God to work something out for you, and rightly so, but consider what He has already worked out. We know that if this earthly house of our tabernacle is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. The cancellation you fear is but the dissolution of a temporary shelter. Your true house abides forever with God, and this very trial is meant to arouse your zeal toward it. Do not be found naked, clinging only to what is perishing, but put on that full assurance of faith in His promise.

You also plead for strength and energy, and here is the hidden fountain of both. It is in mourning, in anguish, that the soul is braced up and grows sober, delivered from the whole swarm of passions, and becomes higher and stronger. When David was in anguish, he was to be admired; when the people groaned and called upon God, they were heard. This very weight you feel is not meant to crush you, but to press you down into the soil that you might finally receive the seed of His word and bear fruit. The ground of our heart is hard, and it takes many such sowings of trial for the truth to take root and remain uninjured.

Do not let today’s difficulty present itself as a barrier, as if God has abandoned you. The fact that trials come even to the faithful requires you to demonstrate your own resolve, for now you have the power to walk not after the flesh. You say you love Him, and so like that woman with great shamelessness you are right to press near. He will respect a confidence that knows He is Lord over all things. Look not to how the times seem perilous, for the evil is not in the days but in the neglect of men. Turn your care now to your true self and your true house. The storm that threatens to destroy one shelter is sent to fix your eyes upon the eternal one, and there you will find a strength that no earthly policy can cancel.

Your prayer rises from a heavy place, and God hears every word. You are asking for two things: a way through the loss of your house insurance, and the strength and energy to face these hard days. Both needs are real, and both have a common root: the Lord alone is your true refuge. When the earthly security we lean on is stripped away, it often reveals where our trust has been quietly drifting. That can feel terrifying, but it is also a moment of grace.

There is a deep pattern in Scripture where God allows the things we call our “house” to falter in order to call us back to the only House that cannot be shaken. Long ago, a place named Bethel meant “house of God,” because there a man met the Lord and became conscious of His presence. But later that same place was renamed Beth-Aven, the house of idols, because people had set up substitutes for God and trusted in the work of their own hands. A home can be a sanctuary where you meet the Lord, or it can quietly become a house of worry, where the insurance policy and the bank balance sit on the throne of your heart. The cancellation you face may be an urgent invitation to let your house become Bethel again, a place where you cry out to Him and find Him near.

Strength and energy do not come from mustering more willpower. The book of Hosea describes people whose strength was devoured by strangers, yet they did not even know it was gone. Like Samson after his hair was cut, they assumed they could rise as before, but the Spirit had departed. Real strength is found only in the Lord. When Jacob wrestled with God, he prevailed only after his own strength was crippled, and then he wept and made supplication. That is where power with God is born, in the place of surrendered weakness, where you stop fighting in your own energy and cling to Him with desperate faith. So pour out your heart. Tell Him you are spent. Ask Him not only to fix the situation but to be your strength in it. He delights to answer that prayer.

The Scriptures also remind us that even the greatest temple Solomon built was never meant to contain God. “The heaven of heavens cannot contain Him,” Solomon prayed. If that were true for a magnificent house of worship, how much more must we hold loosely the roofs over our heads? Your home, however precious, is not your ultimate shelter. The Lord Himself is your dwelling place. He has promised to hide His people in the day of trouble, to be a refuge in every storm. That does not mean you should not seek practical provision; it means you seek it from a heart at rest, knowing that whether you keep this house or find another, you are already secure in the household of God through Jesus Christ.

So as you ask Him to work something out for the insurance, also ask Him to make your heart a house of sacrifice and worship, a place where He is honored above all. Keep mercy and judgment, and wait on your God continually. He has not withdrawn His mercy from those who look to Him. You said, “I love You.” That is the right starting point. Now let that love draw you to trust Him completely, to seek His face early, and to let His strength be perfected in your weakness. He will carry you through. In the valley of your own Jezreel, He will show Himself faithful.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, laying before the Lord the deep concern over your house being cancelled and the weariness you’re carrying. It was our privilege to stand with you before the Father, asking Him to intervene in this situation and to pour out His supernatural strength and energy so you could walk through each day in His peace.

If God has moved in a way that brought resolution, provision, or renewed hope, we would love to hear your praise report—your testimony could encourage others who are facing similar trials. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if new challenges have arisen, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that our faithful God hears and acts on behalf of His children.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him. May He open doors no one can shut, restore what has been lost, and fill you with His joy and stamina. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus, trusting Him to work all things together for your good.
