Beloved of All
We’ve had enough of this and now threats of El Niño coming! Also, praying for friends and family salvation. Being really persecuted. This women’s group isn’t getting back to me since I asked if they can pray with me and also for a mutual friend in regards to their bad smoking habits and drinking and they don’t want any help. Jesus, also please heal Diabetes Copd and all associated pain due to this please especially arm lumps, knee and feet and under foot so difficult to get any exercise due to this. Please no cancer. Praises, prayers to get to the beach soon with this friend, amen

We join you in lifting up all of these burdens together before our Father in Jesus' name and we thank you for bringing them to us so honestly.

We hear your weariness with this prolonged heat and the anxiety about El Nino coming. We understand how oppressive and discouraging it can feel when the weather itself feels like a trial. We are reminded that God remains sovereign over all creation and is our refuge in every season. Psalm 46:1 tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and Matthew 6:34 reminds us not to be anxious for tomorrow, for each day has enough trouble of its own. We pray for His peace to guard your heart as you trust Him with what the coming season may hold, and for His provision of relief and rest, including that hoped for time at the beach. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also stand with you in your desire for the salvation of your friends and family, and we grieve with you over the persecution you are feeling. Jesus told us this would happen, and He also blessed those who endure it for His sake. Matthew 5:11 says Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake, and 2 Timothy 3:12 says Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. We encourage you not to grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up as Galatians 6:9 teaches. We continue to pray with you that your loved ones will come to know Christ, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as in 1 Timothy 2:4, and He is patient, not wanting anyone to perish but all to come to repentance as 2 Peter 3:9 says.

Regarding the women's group that has not responded since you asked them to pray about smoking and drinking struggles for your mutual friend, we understand how hurtful that silence feels. We encourage you to forgive and to keep pursuing fellowship where you can, not forsaking our own assembling together as Hebrews 10:25 teaches, and to continue to love your friend with truth and grace. We know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches, and that we are called not to be drunken with wine but to be filled with the Spirit as Ephesians 5:18 says. Smoking and drunkenness can harm the body God gave us and can become strongholds, yet we cannot force help on someone who does not want it. We can keep praying, keep speaking the truth in love, and keep entrusting that friend to the Lord who alone can change the heart. Proverbs 15:29 reminds us that Yahweh is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

We lift up your health needs with deep compassion, the diabetes, COPD, and all the associated pain, the lumps in your arm, the pain in your knee and feet and under your foot that makes even exercise so difficult, and your fear of cancer. Our Lord is the Great Physician who heals and sustains. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and dont forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and Isaiah 53:5 says by his wounds we are healed. We also cling to James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We pray for wisdom for your doctors, for relief from pain, for strength for daily living, and for protection from cancer. Even when healing is a process, we trust Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good for those who love God.

We thank God that you have mentioned the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We rejoice that you know Him.

We pray together now. Father, in Jesus' name we come to You with our sister and lay every one of these needs at Your feet. Lord, bring relief from this oppressive heat and calm all fear about what is to come, let Your peace reign in her heart and provide refreshment and rest, and if it is Your will, open the way for her to get to the beach safely with her friend for healing and joy. Save her friends and family, Lord, draw each one by Your Holy Spirit to repentance and faith in Christ. Strengthen her under persecution, let her feel Your nearness and vindication, and help her to bless those who oppose her. Touch the hearts of the women in that group, restore fellowship where possible, and work in the heart of that mutual friend who struggles with smoking and drinking, bring conviction and willingness to receive help and freedom in Christ. Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon diabetes and COPD, upon every pain, upon the lumps in her arm and the pain in her knee and feet and under her foot, ease her suffering, protect her from cancer, and give her strength and guidance for health and movement. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We've been thinking of you as we read your note. The relentless heat alone is exhausting, and with the worry about El Niño, plus feeling persecuted and carrying a burden for your friends and family to know Jesus, it's understandable you feel worn down.

We especially noticed your pain with diabetes and COPD, the lumps in your arm and the soreness in your knees and feet that makes even getting exercise so hard, and the fear about cancer. That kind of ongoing pain can wear on your sense of strength and make daily life feel smaller. Please consider bringing those new lumps and the foot and knee pain to your doctor soon so they can evaluate you in person. We will be praying for wisdom for them and comfort and care for you alongside that help.

About your women's group and your friend who smokes and drinks, it hurts when you reach out in love and others pull back or say they don't want help. Often people aren't ready to face those habits and will minimize them for a time, and that is not a failure on your part. You did a caring thing to offer prayer. It may help to give the group a little space and perhaps send one brief, kind note later if you feel led, while you keep praying privately for your friend.

Father, we lift our sister to You in Jesus' name. Bring relief to her pain, guide her medical care, calm her fears, and draw her friends and family to Yourself. Give her peace as she waits on You, and joy in that hoped for time at the beach with her friend. Amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we join you in bringing these burdens to His throne of grace.

Concerning the oppressive heat and the threat of El Nino to come, we are reminded that the Lord reigns over all seasons and sends both the sunshine and the storm according to His wise providence. Cast this care upon Him, for He who clothes the fields and governs the winds will give strength to bear what He appoints and will not suffer you to be tried beyond what you are able.

You speak also of being persecuted and of friends and family who yet need salvation. Take heart, for persecution seems to be the wave that when it leaps up around the church, speeds her course. It helps to keep up the separation between the church and the world, and often it drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered up as the result of persecution that would never have been offered else, heaven alone can tell. God has blessed His people by such trials. Continue to pray for those dear to you, that they may know that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, for there is an abundance of healing power in Him and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the little things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The least thing about Christ is healing.

We grieve with you that the womens group has not returned your request to pray for a mutual friend bound by smoking and drinking, and that help is refused. This is a common sorrow, for all individuals in every nation need healing and many will not yet seek the Physician. Do not cease to pray. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and the work of Jesus our heavenly Physician is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy. He is able to heal though He is not always engaged in healing at the hour we desire. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, so keep sowing the Word in prayer and in gentle witness, trusting the Lord to work in His season.

For your own body, afflicted with diabetes and COPD and all the associated pain in arm and knee and feet and under foot, so that exercise is made difficult, and for your fear concerning cancer, we lift you up to Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. We very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are too painful to let us slumber, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for healing. How much more should we seek the great Physician. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed on the Lords people. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son be of good cheer your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. The Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His grace has infused into us will work us health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. We pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon you with healing in His wings, easing your pain, guarding you from further affliction, and granting wisdom to those who care for you. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Whether He grants full relief in this life or sustains you through the infirmity till the perfect healing of the resurrection, know that His grace is sufficient and His touch, even as He took the sick by the hand and lifted her up, is able to raise you.

We join your praises and your prayer to get to the beach soon with this friend. May the Lord in His kindness grant you that refreshment if it be His will, and may even that time together be seasoned with grace and an opportunity to speak of Christ.

Let us pray together. O Lord, look upon this Your child tried by heat and pain and by the sorrow of loved ones yet outside Your fold. Pardon and heal, forgive and restore. Draw persecutors and the wandering to Yourself, break the chains of smoking and drinking, and let Your healing leaves be for the healing of this soul and body. Keep from the dreaded disease of cancer according to Your mercy, ease the lumps and the aching joints and feet, and give renewed strength day by day. Make this trial to drive the heart nearer to Christ, and grant joy in Your presence whether by the sea or in the closet of prayer. In the name of Jesus our only hope, Amen.
