We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family in their time of deep trial and sorrow. Father God, we ask for Your mighty hand of comfort and peace to rest upon them as they face the pain of illness, injury, and uncertainty. You are the God who sees every tear and hears every cry, and we trust in Your unfailing love to sustain them.
Lord, we pray for the mother in hospice care. May Your presence surround her, bringing her peace that surpasses all understanding. If it is Your will, we ask for healing and strength, but above all, we pray that she would know You more deeply in these moments. Let her heart be filled with the hope of eternity, where there is no more pain or sorrow. We also pray for the father, who is now hospitalized after the accident. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his body and mind. Protect him from further harm and grant wisdom to the medical team caring for him. We lift up the others involved in the accident as well—may You bring healing and restoration to them, both physically and emotionally.
Father, we also lift up the one who has shared this request, along with the rest of the family. This is a time of overwhelming grief and fear, and we ask that You would be their refuge. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. We pray especially for the "lost loved ones" mentioned—those who do not yet know You. Lord, we ask that this trial would soften their hearts to Your truth. Open their eyes to the salvation found only in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Draw them to Yourself, that they may experience the hope and peace that comes from knowing You.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to overwhelm this family. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance for this family as they navigate the days ahead. Give them the strength to lean on You and on one another. Surround them with Your people—believers who can offer support, encouragement, and prayer. May they feel Your love in tangible ways, and may their faith be strengthened as they see Your hand at work.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who conquered sin and death so that we might have eternal life. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
