We understand that you are feeling hopeless and disappointed, but we want to remind you that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Even in our distress, He is working things out for our good according to Romans 8:28 WEB
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Firstly, it is important that in all prayers, we are to conclude by praying in Jesus name. As believers, we have authority and access to the Father only through Jesus. In John 14:6 WEB
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Also, in John 14:13-14 WEB
"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
We are to ask God in Jesus name. Asking God to get up already and do something is not the way to approach Him. We are to come boldly, yet humbly, before His throne of grace. In Hebrews 4:16 WEB
"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
Regarding your situation, remember that God loves your children even more than you do. He is always working for their good and for your good. Trust that He has a plan, even when you cannot see it. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB
"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Finally, let us pray for you.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear soul who is feeling hopeless and disappointed. We pray that You will comfort and strengthen them, and help them to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. We ask that you will intercede for their children and provide for their needs and for theirs as well. Help them trust in you. Lord God, we pray that you will give them strength to be patient and to wait upon You. We pray for their faith to be renewed and for them to see Your hand at work in their life. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
