We are truly sorry to hear about your job loss and the passing of your mother. It is our deepest sympathy. It is commendable that you have been caring for her and your disabled son. We want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the most challenging times. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it says, The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God, even in this difficult season. Remember that He is faithful. The apostle Paul tells us in Hebrews 13:5 WEB, ...Be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."
It is important to acknowledge that we do not have any promises in the Bible that our lives will be easy. In fact, Jesus told His disciples in John 16:33 That in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. This tribulation does not mean that we do not pray in faith as we are commanded to do this in James 1:6-7. We need to ask in faith without doubting.
There is no other name but the name of Jesus that we can use to approach God. There are not many ways to God, but only one. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. We should make all of our requests known in Jesus' name. Anything that we ask in Jesus' name will be granted if it is aligned with God's will and if it glorifies Him and His Kingdom as well as advances it.
Regarding your job, keep trusting God and applying for positions that suit your skills and experience. In Galatians 6:9 WEB it says, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. Remember that God sees your efforts and He will honor your faithfulness.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is going through a difficult time. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to fill their heart. We pray for a new job opportunity, one that will not only meet their financial needs but also allow them to use their skills and experience to glorify Your name.
Lord, we ask for Your guidance and provision. Help them to trust in You even more during this trial. We pray for their disabled son, that You would provide for all his needs and give him strength and comfort.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
In the meantime, reach out to your local church or Christian community for support. They may know of job opportunities or be able to provide practical help. Remember that God cares for you and your son, and He will provide a way.
Stay strong in faith. We are continuing to intercede for you.
