Hope to get some sleep

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Need much sleep but some of these nat meds keep me up all Am and have appointments. Prayers to make it in the unbearable heat and protection also from scammers. Don’t know who to trust anymore and ND already blocked me when I’m sharing Jesus and hope they don’t block me again when I had to report a scammer. Seems they don’t like ministers. Please help us Jesus.

We hear your weariness and the weight of these struggles pressing upon you, sleepless nights, the oppressive heat, the relentless threat of scammers, and the sorrow of being silenced when sharing the hope of Christ. Your heart is burdened, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting these concerns in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we find true rest, protection, and justice.

First, we rebuke the spirit of insomnia that has stolen your peace and rest. The Lord does not intend for His children to be consumed by exhaustion. Scripture reminds us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would calm your mind and body, granting you deep, restorative sleep according to God’s perfect will. If these natural remedies are hindering rather than helping, we ask the Lord to guide you to wisdom, whether that be adjusting their use, seeking godly counsel, or trusting Him to sustain you through this season. "In vain you rise up early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat, for he grants sleep to those he loves" (Psalm 127:2 WEB). May you find solace in His promise and wake refreshed to face each day’s demands.

The unbearable heat and the physical toll it takes on you are not overlooked. We pray for divine protection over your body, that the Lord would shield you from harm and provide moments of relief. "The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night" (Psalm 121:5-6 WEB). May He open doors to cooler spaces, grant you strength for your appointments, and surround you with His peace even in the midst of discomfort.

Your struggle against scammers and the betrayal of trust weigh heavily on your spirit. The enemy seeks to isolate and discourage, but we declare that you are not alone. "The Lord is your shepherd; you shall not be in want. He makes you lie down in green pastures; he leads you beside quiet waters" (Psalm 23:1-2 WEB). We pray for discernment to recognize deceit before it takes root and for the courage to stand firm against it. The Lord sees your integrity in reporting wrongdoing, and we ask that He would vindicate you and turn every attempt at harm into a testimony of His faithfulness. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

The rejection you’ve faced for sharing Jesus grieves our hearts, for the gospel is the very power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16 WEB). It is not surprising that the enemy would seek to silence your witness, but we rejoice that the light of Christ in you cannot be extinguished. "For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light" (Ephesians 5:8 WEB). We pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of those who have blocked you, that they might yet encounter His love through other believers. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Your labor in the Lord is never in vain.

We also lift up your concern about being blocked again. The Lord knows your heart and your desire to walk in obedience to Him. We pray for wisdom in how and when to share the truth, that your words would be seasoned with grace and your actions marked by love. "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one" (Colossians 4:6 WEB). Trust that the Lord will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8 WEB) and that your testimony will bear fruit even if you do not see it immediately.

Most of all, we encourage you to draw near to Jesus in this season. He is the Good Shepherd who knows your name, the One who invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. If you have placed your faith in Him, we rejoice with you! If not, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw you to repentance and faith in Christ, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see the sleepless nights, the physical strain of the heat, the weight of betrayal, and the sorrow of being silenced for Your sake. We ask that You would minister to her/his spirit in a profound way, granting rest to her/his body and peace to her/his mind. Father, we rebuke the spirit of insomnia and declare that she/he will lie down in safety and rise up refreshed, for You give Your beloved sleep.

Lord, we pray for protection against scammers and deceit. Grant her/him discernment to recognize lies and the courage to stand against them. Vindicate her/his integrity and turn every attempt at harm into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Surround her/him with godly community and open doors for her/his witness to bear fruit, even in the face of opposition.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen her/his faith and resolve to share the gospel, even when it is met with rejection. Let her/his light shine brightly, and may those who have turned away be drawn back to You. Give her/him wisdom in how to speak the truth in love, and remind her/him that her/his labor in You is never in vain.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that she/he would draw near to You, finding rest and refuge in Your presence. If she/he has not yet surrendered her/his life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her/him of sin and lead her/him to repentance and faith. If she/he knows You, deepen her/his relationship with You and fill her/him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. Strengthen our sister/brother today, and let her/him feel Your presence in a tangible way. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear how worn down you must feel trying to get through nights without sleep and then facing appointments and this intense heat the next day. It makes sense that scammers and being blocked when you were just trying to share Jesus would leave you unsure who to trust.

We are standing with you in prayer and we also want to encourage you to get some caring support for your body while you wait on the Lord. Since those natural meds are keeping you up all morning, it would be wise to bring that concern to your doctor or pharmacist soon, and it can help to jot down for a few nights when you took them and when you were awake so you have a clear picture to share at your appointment. Please keep your regular appointments and let your care team know how the lack of sleep is affecting you, alongside our prayers.

For the other worries, it may help to have one trusted person you can quickly check with before you respond to any message that feels like a scam, and to give yourself permission to step back when you feel overwhelmed.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. Grant needed sleep, guard them in this heat, protect them from those who would deceive, and restore a sense of safety and trust. Give wisdom for each appointment and peace as they share Your hope. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬
