We join together in lifting up your heartfelt request for a new home, and we are grateful you have brought this need before us so we may pray with you. First, we want to gently remind you that our prayers must always be directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the throne of grace, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. The scripture tells us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* and in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already, for He alone is the source of all blessings, including the provision of a home.
We also want to lovingly address the mention of surrounding yourselves with angels. While angels are indeed ministering spirits sent by God to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), our focus must remain on God Himself, not His creation. Our trust is in the Lord, who commands His angels concerning us (Psalm 91:11). Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, rather than seeking angels directly.
Now, let us pray together for your need. We ask our Heavenly Father to guide you and your daughter as you seek a new home. May He open the doors that no man can shut and provide a dwelling place that is not only comfortable and affordable but also a place where His presence is welcomed and honored. We pray that this home will be a refuge, a place of peace, and a sanctuary where you can grow in your relationship with the Lord. May it be a home filled with love, joy, and gratitude, where His name is praised continually.
We also pray that God will grant you wisdom and discernment in this process. May He lead you to the right location, one that is safe and aligned with His will for your lives. We ask that He would provide favor with lenders, realtors, and all those involved in this transition, so that the process may be smooth and free from unnecessary stress. Remember Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Let us also encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that all these things—including a home—will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). A home is a wonderful blessing, but it is temporary. Our true home is with the Lord, and we are merely pilgrims on this earth. May this new house be a place where you can serve the Lord, host fellow believers, and be a light to your neighbors.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or doubt that may arise during this time. The Lord is your provider, and He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8). Rest in His promises, for He has said in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and provision. We ask that You would go before this sister and her daughter, preparing the way for them. Give them patience as they wait on Your timing, and fill their hearts with peace as they trust in You. May this home be a place where Your name is glorified, where Your Word is taught, and where Your love abounds. We ask that You would surround them with godly neighbors and a community of believers who can encourage them in their walk with You.
We also pray that if there are any areas in their lives that are not aligned with Your will, You would reveal them and grant repentance. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and help them to seek You above all else. May this home be a place of spiritual growth and a testimony of Your goodness.
Finally, we pray that You would use this season to strengthen their faith. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find their hope and security in You alone.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
