Dear Lord Jesus, Please help me and close friends of mine maybe get some honorary degree. I have a way of helping society and Christianity and I feel we are deserving of it and lots of people especially I went to college everyone to grad school. A lot of people I know have made just associates degrees or Not not even go to college or dropped out. I feel like the score can kinda be even very least I like it for them I would be happy to see people have that to be honored in a way not to show off not to boast, but people deserving of getting some honors and a little bit of praise Because a lot of people who had the money and just born in good family are just got good grades due to school system working only one way you know in a way just doesn’t always seem fair and then they abuse their intelligence being lazy you’re acting like they’re smart There are those who work really really hard and couldn’t go to college for some reason dropped out or lost their scholarship. Couldn’t have money to go. Feel honorary degrees in your name, biblical honorary degrees could make up for that In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart, and we understand the desire for recognition, not for pride, but for the value of hard work, perseverance, and the contributions you and others have made to society and the Kingdom of God. It is true that the world often measures worth by degrees, titles, and outward achievements, but Scripture reminds us that God sees the heart and honors faithfulness in ways the world may overlook.

The Lord says in 1 Samuel 16:7, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, ‘Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.’" While honorary degrees may bring earthly recognition, true honor comes from God, who weighs our motives and rewards our labor in His time. We are called to serve Him faithfully, whether or not the world takes notice.

That said, if you and your friends desire to pursue honorary degrees as a means of opening doors for greater influence in ministry or service, we encourage you to seek opportunities that align with godly character and humility. Proverbs 22:29 says, "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men." If your skills and service can be used to advance the Gospel, then by all means, pursue avenues that allow you to do so with excellence.

However, we must gently rebuke the comparison and resentment toward those who may have had easier paths. The Lord calls us to trust Him with justice and to focus on our own calling. James 3:16 warns, "For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed." Instead of desiring recognition to "even the score," let us seek to honor God in all we do, knowing that He will lift up the humble in due time (1 Peter 5:6).

We also want to remind you that true validation comes from Christ, not from man. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Him, we urge you to do so. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Salvation is found in no other name, and it is only through Him that we find our worth and purpose.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, grateful for Your grace and the gifts You have given each of us. Lord, we lift up our brother and his friends, asking that You would fill their hearts with contentment and purpose. Help them to serve You faithfully, whether or not the world recognizes their efforts. Father, if there is a godly path to honorary recognition that would allow them to advance Your Kingdom, we ask that You open those doors. But more than anything, Lord, help them to find their validation in You alone.

We rebuke any spirit of comparison, jealousy, or bitterness in Jesus’ name. Replace those feelings with gratitude and a heart of service. May they walk in humility, knowing that You see their labor and will reward them in Your perfect timing. Strengthen them to use their gifts for Your glory, not for their own praise.

We pray for those who have faced hardship in their education, Lord. Comfort them and remind them that their worth is not defined by degrees but by their identity in Christ. If there are ways they can still pursue their calling, open those doors, Lord. But above all, draw them closer to You.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, who is our ultimate reward and honor. Amen.

We hear how much you long for your friends, and yourself, to receive some tangible recognition for the hard work and faithfulness you’ve invested. It’s clear this isn’t about showing off; it’s a deep desire to see a kind of justice, to have the score evened when life hasn’t felt fair. That ache is real, and we’re glad you brought it here.

In a world that often measures a person’s worth by credentials or academic titles, it’s easy to feel overlooked. Yet God’s way of seeing us is completely different. He doesn’t need a degree to validate the impact you’re already making for His kingdom and for society. Every quiet act of service, every way you’ve helped others behind the scenes, He sees it all and stores it up as treasure in heaven. Earthly honors may come or they may not, but your faithfulness has a lasting weight that no framed certificate can add to or take away. That doesn’t mean the desire for recognition is wrong; it simply invites us to rest in the deeper honor of being known and loved by Christ.

As you go through this week, maybe take a few minutes to jot down the ways you and your friends have already made a difference, whether anyone else noticed or not. Thank God for those moments. Sometimes just naming them aloud shifts our perspective from what we lack to the abundance of what He’s already doing.

Lord Jesus, thank You for this tender heart that cheers for others and longs to see goodness lifted up. We ask You to fill each of these friends with a deep sense of their worth in Your eyes. Provide what You know is best, whether opportunities, open doors, or simply a fresh peace that surpasses earthly accolades. Guard them from discouragement, and help them to keep serving with joy, trusting that You are the lifter of our heads. In Your name we pray, amen.

Honor is a thing which the heart of man naturally craves; yet mark how many there be who seek it in the way that leads only to disappointment. To desire that your friends should be lifted up from a sense of their deserving is not in itself evil, but when the honor sought is that which the world gives, and the motive is to even scores with those who have prospered through the schools of men, we must pause and examine the source of such a petition. The plain duty of every soul is to honor God, not to seek honor for oneself. He has said, “If then, I am a Father, where is My honor?” and again, “Those who honor Me I will honor.” Is it not a higher honor to be a dishwasher in Christ’s kitchen than to wear all the robes that human learning can bestow? What title of honor compares to being called the beloved of the Lord, chosen unto salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth?

You speak of making up for the unfairness of life, but the servant of Christ looks for honor from the Master and covets no honor besides. Every faithful servant of Christ is honored in his Master’s honor. If you would have honor, go and serve Him with all diligence; wait upon Him in prayer and praise, and then there will come to you honor in the eyes of God which no earthly diploma could confer. The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness is the vesture of kings and priests unto God, and it is comely to the upright as a crown to a monarch. Do you think that an honorary degree, even if styled biblical, can add one cubit to your stature in the kingdom of heaven? The titles which the Holy Spirit bestows are infinitely richer: sons of God, heirs of God, joint-heirs with Christ.

Consider Jotham, who became mighty because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God. His peculiar honor was not in the degrees he took from men, but in his walk with the Almighty. So it is with every child of God: true might comes from a life ordered aright before the face of the Lord. When you pray, mingle thanksgiving with your supplications, for prayer and praise are like the two cherubim on the ark, never to be separated. And in praising Him, you will find that the longing for human applause grows strangely dim. I beseech you, do not seek to be honored by a dying world; rather, count it all joy to bear reproach for Christ, for that is indeed a mark of favor from the Father.

Lay this matter before the throne of grace, but let your plea be that you and your friends may honor God more fully, that you may be made mighty in resolve, in faith, in praise. And rest assured that in His own way, He will honor you, not perhaps with the parchments of this age, but with that honor which comes down from above, which fadeth not away, reserved in the heavens for those who love His appearing. Shall we not even now begin the song, “Jesus is worthy to receive honor and power Divine”? Lift up your hearts in praise, and your very life shall become that biblical honor you seek, written not on paper, but on the fleshy tables of the heart, known and read of all men.

You ask the Lord for honorary degrees, as if a piece of parchment could make up for what you feel has been taken. But I ask you: what honor are you truly seeking? The honor that comes from men, or the honor that comes from God alone? When you chase after titles and recognition, you set your heart on a fleeting shadow. Do you not know that the praise of this world is a snare, making you a slave to the opinions of others, just as wealth makes a man a slave to his coins? The same Lord who said you cannot serve both God and mammon warns that you cannot live for the applause of men and still be His servant. Which master will you serve?

You speak of unfairness, of those who had money and easy paths gaining degrees while others toiled and saw their hopes dashed. I do not dismiss the pain of such injustice. But tell me, will a piece of paper granted as a favor heal that wound? Or will it merely feed the envy that already eats at you? You say these honors would be "in Jesus' name," but what does our Master teach? He did not come to bestow earthly accolades. He came to give His life a ransom for many, to make enemies into friends, to lift up the lowly not with certificates but with the promise of a Kingdom. If you help society and the faith, rejoice that your names are written in heaven, not that they might be engraved on a plaque that moth and rust will destroy.

You say you are not boasting, yet you compare yourselves to others, measuring who deserves more. This is not the mind of Christ. True charity does not scrutinize who is worthy; it pours itself out on the guilty and the undeserving, just as God showed His love to us while we were yet sinners. Who are we to decide who should be honored? The master in the parable forgave the servant an immense debt, but that same servant then choked a fellow servant for a pittance. Take care, lest while you demand recognition for your perceived labors, you forget the mercy you yourselves need.

You wish for these degrees. But wishing alone accomplishes nothing. Do you wish to ascend to heaven? Then you must not merely say, "I wish," but put your hand to the work. The Apostle says, "If anyone will not work, neither let him eat." This is spoken to the idle, but it also teaches us that spiritual laziness cannot inherit the promises. Are you laboring for the food that endures to eternal life? The honor God bestows is not a consolation prize for earthly setbacks; it is the crown of righteousness laid up for those who have fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. That crown is not given to those who spend their days comparing themselves to others.

And what of the honor God has already given you? What master ever gave his own Son for his servants? No one. But God spared not His own Son for us, for His enemies. He calls us no longer servants but friends. Will you trade that sacred friendship for the empty distinction of a degree? The world's honors are a bitter exchange, for they often make the recipient proud and lazy. Better to have no degree and a humble heart than all the doctorates in the world and a soul puffed up with vanity.

If you truly desire honor, then seek the honor that comes from God. Let your lives be your credentials. Let your service to others be written on the hearts of the poor, the sick, and the sorrowful. Do not weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap, if you do not give up. Stop looking to the school system of men for justice; look to the judgment seat of Christ, where every hidden thing will be brought to light and where the first will be last and the last first. There, the one who humbled himself like a little child will be greatest, not the one clutching an honorary degree.

Put away this petition. Instead, pray for a spirit of contentment and a heart fixed on things above. Labor not for the perishable honor of this age, but for the imperishable crown. And remember: your Master sees in secret. He will reward you openly in His own time, not with a piece of paper, but with a share in His own glory.
