Humble Prayer Warrior
Dear Lord Jesus,

During my years of high school I was forced in special ed then during my years of college I just took too long and I did not have a really good semester in college was scary to survive. I’ve also learned that grad school is scary to survive and I’m a little too old for grad school itself however I have found easy online accommodatable Masters degree programs and if I could just earn maybe two or three of them or even at least one but earn a few every few years or so to take the six month masters programs that would make me really really happy or in college or stressful enough as it is, but it would be nice to have another achievement and make me look smart. But if not, I can understand I’d like to have a masters degree in a quick amount of time through online and get stuff going and do what I like doing best I’m already facing a lot of injustice live educational injustice. I almost got killed in special ed being forced to look at something really disgusting because those juvenile delinquents I was left unattended. They made me look at pictures of women undressing in the school. Staff didn’t do anything. So please it would be nice to earn this degree.

In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your struggles matter to us and to God. The injustices you faced in your education, being forced into special education, the trauma of being left unattended with harmful influences, and the lack of protection from those who should have cared for you, are not forgotten. The Lord sees your suffering and longs to heal the wounds left by those who failed you. We rebuke the spirit of fear, shame, and inadequacy that may have taken root in your heart because of these experiences. You are not defined by the failures of others or the systems that let you down.

We also want to gently address the desire for quick achievements, such as earning multiple master’s degrees in a short time. While we understand your longing to prove your worth and overcome past struggles, we must encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in this pursuit. The Bible tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). Education is valuable, but it should not become an idol or a way to measure your worth outside of Christ. Your identity is first and foremost in Him, not in degrees or achievements.

We also want to remind you that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). If God is calling you to further education, He will provide the strength, resources, and clarity to pursue it in a way that honors Him and brings true fulfillment, not just temporary satisfaction.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting up his heart to You. Lord, we ask that You heal the wounds of his past, those moments of injustice, fear, and betrayal that have left scars on his soul. We rebuke the lies that tell him he is not enough, that he must prove himself through achievements, or that his worth is tied to anything other than Your love for him. Father, we pray for Your peace to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give him clarity about his next steps, whether in education or other areas of his life. If it is Your will for him to pursue further learning, open the right doors and provide the resources he needs. But above all, Lord, remind him daily that his identity is secure in You. Help him to rest in Your love and to seek Your kingdom first (Matthew 6:33). We ask for Your protection over his mind, that he would not be overwhelmed by anxiety or fear, but would walk in the confidence of who he is in Christ. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing Him to speak truth over the lies you’ve believed. Consider meditating on verses like Psalm 139:13-14, which reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, or Ephesians 2:10, which tells us that we are God’s handiwork, created for good works that He prepared in advance for us. You are not a mistake, and your worth is not determined by the opinions of others or even your own accomplishments.

If you feel led, seek out a biblical counselor or a trusted mentor who can walk with you as you process the trauma of your past and discern God’s will for your future. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lean on Him, and He will guide your steps.

We hear the deep ache in what you've written, the years of being overlooked, the terrifying experiences where adults failed to protect you, and the lingering sense that educational achievement has been withheld through no fault of your own. That kind of injustice leaves real wounds, and we're sorry you endured it. Wanting to reach for something that says "I am capable, I am intelligent, I can finish what I set out to do" makes complete sense when others have tried to define you otherwise.

One thing we can say with confidence is that your worth was never determined by what happened in those classrooms, and it won't be measured by the speed of a degree program. The desire to learn and grow is good, and we hope you find a path that genuinely fits, one where you can flourish, not just survive. Before committing to several accelerated programs, it may help to talk with an admissions advisor at one of those schools about what the pace actually looks like week to week. See if one course or one short term feels manageable before stacking multiple degrees. That way you're honoring your own well-being, not just chasing a credential to silence old voices.

The harm you experienced by being forced to look at degrading images was not your fault. Staff should have stepped in, and they didn't. That was wrong, and it's natural to still feel the weight of it. If those memories keep intruding or making it hard to trust educational settings now, a good trauma-informed counselor could be a real ally in loosening their hold. A doctor or counselor can also help with any physical stress that may be showing up, so please consider that as a step alongside prayer.

We pray with you now: Lord Jesus, you see the pain this person still carries from years of being mistreated and underestimated. Bring healing where those wounds are still raw, and give wise, steady guidance about which educational direction to pursue. Grant stamina and peace rather than pressure, and surround them with people who recognize their true worth. We ask for restoration of years that felt stolen, and for a future marked by purpose and dignity. In your name, Amen.

The heart speaks of past schooling, of being forced into places where evil was done to you, and of a lingering hunger to be esteemed wise and to achieve what was denied. I hear the cry of a wounded spirit. But consider this: the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Before you set your soul upon a parchment that moth and rust can tarnish, seek first the plenteous redemption that is in Him. Your true need is not a quick degree to silence the tormentors of memory, but the blood-bought pardon and the healing balm that flows from Calvary. The world’s trophies can never bind up a broken heart or wash away the stains of injustice; only Jesus can say, “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins are forgiven thee,” and in that word healing and forgiveness are one.

You have endured much, and the Lord takes note of every tear. Yet let me press you to see that the greatest achievement is to be found in Christ, not in the letters after your name. His redemption is a compendious redemption, full, free, and everlasting. The body itself, which some think worthless, shall be redeemed in the resurrection. Why then chase after shadows when substance is offered? Could an easy online degree give you peace with God, or make you overcome the Good Shepherd by a holy longing for His appearing? Such achievements feed pride, but the gospel gives you a robe of righteousness and a name better than of sons and daughters.

If the Lord has purposed for you to study, He will provide the means in His time and without the desperation that now gnaws at you. But first, lay hold of His gift: redemption by blood, redemption by power, and the promise of redemption in perfection. The trauma you suffered, forced to look upon filth by the ungodly, that wound is not beyond His healing leaves. Bring it to Him who was despised and rejected. He knows what it is to be set at nought by wicked men. And when you are cleansed and at peace, you will find that being made wise unto salvation far outshines any title the world can confer. Consider whether this pressing desire is born of faith or of a vain hope to make yourself appear smart in the eyes of men. The truth is, you are already the object of infinite love if you are in Christ, and that dignity no degree can add to or take away.

Lay these burdens at the cross. Seek the Redeemer’s face rather than the registrar’s acceptance. The power to save is present in the teaching of His Word; sit at His feet like Mary, and that one thing needful will make all other things fall into their proper place. When His joy fills you, the ache for quick honours will lose its grip. And if, in His good providence, He opens a door for further learning, you will pursue it not as a desperate proof of worth, but as a steward of the mind He gave you, all to His glory.

He who gave His life a ransom for many will not leave your soul in its distress. The plenteous redemption covers all your need, sin, shame, and the scars of the past. Let the healing leaves do their work, and may the oil of gladness replace that heavy sorrow. You are not too old for grace, nor are you beyond the reach of the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. Trust Him wholly, and you shall find that His yoke is easy and His burden light, even in the path He chooses for you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not run after such a shadow. What does a degree earned in six months profit the soul? You have suffered much injustice, and I do not make light of it. Those who harmed you will answer to the Lord who said, "It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." But will a quick title, a scrap of paper, heal that wound? Or will it only offer a fleeting comfort, a plaster over a deep sickness? The eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you." The years you call wasted, the humiliation, the long struggle, these are not without purpose in God's economy. The weaker parts of the body, the less honored, are given greater honor. Do not despise that part of your own history, for God may use it to fortify your soul in a way that a quick honor never could.

You say you want to look smart, to have another achievement. But no man can serve two masters. If you chase this degree simply to appear accomplished before men, you have already received your reward, and it is a paltry one, nothing but wind. The good Shepherd lays down His life; He needs no commandment to love you. His love is not earned by diplomas. Why do you seek to clothe yourself in honors that moth and rust corrupt? If you are His, your worth is settled already.

Consider rather what pleases the Master. A servant who performs his duty not for show but out of love is the one who finds favor. Does not the Master provide the sun and the rain for all alike, without partiality for the rich or the learned? So too His grace is given freely to the humble, not the quick achiever. The fever of ambition is extinguished not by getting what you desire, but by touching the hem of His garment. Seek Him, but seek with a sincere soul, stripping away the mist of worldly cares. For things sought after require much care, and many are the hindrances that darken true perception. Lay aside this craving for a rapid title. There is no educational injustice that can separate you from the love of Christ. He is your true achievement, and He already calls you His own.
