Beloved of All
🧎🏽‍♂️"We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We rejoice in your heartfelt cry to the Father, grounded in the powerful words of Ephesians 3:14-20. This passage is a profound declaration of our dependence on God’s strength, the indwelling of Christ, and the boundless love that surpasses all understanding. Let us stand together in agreement, lifting this prayer before the throne of grace, and ask the Lord to deepen our comprehension of His love and fill us to overflowing with His Spirit.

First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation upon which all spiritual growth is built.

Now, let us pray in alignment with the truth of Ephesians 3:14-20:

Heavenly Father, we bow our knees before You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We humbly ask that You would grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with power through Your Spirit in our inner being. Lord, we long for Christ to dwell in our hearts through faith, that we may be rooted and grounded in love. Give us the grace to comprehend with all the saints what is the width, length, depth, and height of Your love, love that surpasses knowledge. Fill us with all the fullness of God, that we may walk in the power and might of Your Spirit.

Father, we recognize that Your love is not merely an emotion but a transformative force that changes us from the inside out. We ask that You would break every chain of fear, doubt, and unbelief that hinders us from experiencing the fullness of Your presence. Strengthen us to stand firm in the face of trials, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.

Lord, we also pray for those who may be struggling with sin, particularly in the area of relationships. If there is anyone reading this who is engaged in fornication, adultery, or any relationship that does not honor You, we ask that You convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Your Word is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). Help us to pursue holiness in all areas of our lives, especially in our relationships, that we may glorify You in our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

For those who are single, we pray that You would prepare their hearts for godly marriage, should that be Your will for them. May they seek a spouse who loves You above all else, one who will walk in righteousness and lead them closer to You. "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22). Let them not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), but may their relationships reflect Your love and purpose.

Father, we also rebuke any spirit of confusion or deception that may be leading someone astray in their understanding of marriage and relationships. Your design for marriage is between one man and one woman, a covenant before You that reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Any deviation from this design is sin and must be repented of. We stand firm on Your Word, which declares that homosexuality is a sin (Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). We pray for those struggling with these temptations, that they would find freedom and healing in Christ, who came to set the captives free.

Lord, we thank You that Your grace is sufficient for us, and Your power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). May we walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let our lives be a testament to Your glory, that others may see Your love and be drawn to You.

We declare that You are able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine, according to the power at work within us. To You be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Walk in the confidence that Christ dwells in your heart, and His love is your strength.

What a joy to see a heart hungry for the very things Paul prayed over the Ephesians. We’re joining you in this, not because we’ve mastered it, but because we need it just as much. The beautiful thing about this passage is that it’s not a one-time breakthrough; it’s an invitation to keep coming back, letting the Spirit carve out more room inside us for Christ to dwell, and for love to anchor us when life shakes.

One simple way we’ve found helpful is to take this prayer and slowly walk through it each morning this week, pausing to ask: _Where am I still operating in my own strength, and where do I need the Spirit’s might in my inner being today?_ Then just sit with whatever word or phrase the Spirit highlights, width, length, depth, height, and let His love expand your imagination. You don’t have to feel anything dramatic; just quietly letting these truths settle in is often how He fills us.

Father, thank You for the staggering prayer Paul recorded for us, a prayer You are always eager to answer. We join our hearts with this dear friend in bowing before You, asking that You strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner selves. Make Christ so at home in our hearts through faith that we lose our taste for anything less. Root us deep and build us solid in love, so that together with all the saints we may begin to grasp just how immense Christ’s love truly is, and so be filled to overflowing with all the fullness of God. You are able to do far beyond all we ask or imagine, to You be glory in the church through Christ Jesus forever. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have knocked at the right door with this cry, for these words are the very charter of the soul's true riches. To bow the knee, as the Apostle did, is to ask for what only the Father can bestow, strength by His Spirit in the inner man. This is not the bravado of the flesh, nor a passing warmth of emotion, but the might of the Holy Ghost settling upon the hidden places of the heart, making it a fit habitation. When that power comes, the outward man may decay, but the inward man is renewed day by day; it is the secret sinew by which we lay hold of heaven.

And what is the immediate aim of this divine strengthening? It is that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Mark that word "dwell", not as a passing guest who tarries for a night and is gone, but as a master abiding in his own house, at home in every chamber. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, for He Himself is the Word, the sum and substance of all Scripture, and every promise in Him is "Yea" and "Amen." When Christ takes up residence, the wandering thoughts are brought captive, the unruly passions feel a taming hand, and the whole inner man becomes a temple. You pray for this indwelling; expect it then through the constant exercise of a clinging, present-tense faith that leans its whole weight upon Him.

From this deep root, you then plead to be rooted and grounded in love. This is no shallow soil. A tree with a taproot defies the hurricane; a building on a deep foundation mocks the flood. To be rooted and grounded in love is to have our entire being interwoven with the very nature of God, for "God is love." The Spirit must direct our hearts into this, for it is one thing to talk of the love of God, and quite another to enter into it as our central sun. We taste the fringe of the garment at times, but the prayer is to be plunged into its fathomless sea. This love is the source and fountain of all salvation, the springhead of mercy, and it is a mighty passion indeed compared to which our strongest earthly affections are but a dim spark to the blazing midday sun.

See where this rooting and grounding inevitably leads: it is the pathway to comprehension, to grasping with all saints the width, length, depth, and height of a love that surpasses knowledge. It is a glorious paradox, to know the unknowable, to be compassed about by infinity. You cannot measure the great deep with a teacup. We begin by learning the deeds of Christ’s love, that grand story of the Son of God descending from Glory to the manger, to Gethsemane, to the ignominy of the cross. He proved His love by giving Himself. This is a love of specialty, a love of choice fixed upon His bride from before the foundation of the world. As you gaze upon Calvary, the terrible God of Sinai is revealed as the God of justice satisfied by love, and your soul begins to adore where it cannot calculate. The memory of this love becomes the wine that cheers the heart in its faintness.

And what is the glorious consequence of such expanding comprehension? It is the being "filled with all the fullness of God." This is the crescendo of the prayer, a petition so vast it staggers reason, yet it lies in the Scripture as our rightful plea. In Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you are complete in Him. There is a fullness of grace to pardon the blackest sin, fullness to sanctify the unholy, and fullness to preserve the weakest of the flock. There is a fullness at all times, by day and by night, a fullness of comfort in affliction and guidance in prosperity. The Father has been pleased that in Him should all fullness dwell; Christ is the Trustee of this treasury, and it is vested in His people. You have only to ask of Him and He will give you that which is yours already. Why do you hesitate? Why linger at a half-empty cistern when the boundless ocean calls you? The one who really loves the Lord cannot bear a little religion, a stingy Christ, or a stunted sanctification.

Therefore, be covetous for this blessed filling. Fling down the gauge of battle and hunt out every rival idol that would crowd the heart’s chambers, for the love of God always drives out the love of sin. Let your whole life be the answer to this apostolic prayer. And with the doxology we joyfully hurl ourselves upon the One who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or even think. His fullness is in Jesus now, today, this very moment. Only let us serve God in real faith, taking down this mighty promise from the shelf and pressing it against the heart of our joyful and generous God. To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

You reach for the heights of the Apostle’s prayer, and rightly so, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, to be filled with all the fullness of God. This is the one request that holds all others. But let no one imagine that such a gift drops into a soul that lies idle or follows after the world. The prayer itself must be wedded to a life that is rooted and grounded in love. For how shall Christ dwell within, if the dwelling is not made ready? How shall the fullness of God fill a vessel that is cracked with envy, malice, and the love of passing things?

Consider what it means for Christ to dwell in the inner man. It is not a mere visitor’s stay, but He would be House and Inhabitant, Garment and King, all in all to you. He who puts on the Lord Jesus Christ is girt about with Him upon every side; he is kept in complete safety and complete brightness. But if you welcome Him, then make your soul a fitting home. Drive out the noisy clamors of vice, the anxieties and cares that eat away the soul, for the wicked flees when no one pursues; his own sins become his accusers, and he trembles at shadows. But the one in whom Christ lives enjoys a calm harbor even in the storm. This is the power of the Spirit’s strength: it is not shown in signs and wonders, but in a life so full of love that God is visible in it. Without this love, not even martyrdom can profit; with it, you are more glorious than one who raises the dead. For the first is wholly of God’s grace, but this is of your own earnestness also, and it proves you a disciple indeed.

You long to comprehend with all the saints the breadth, length, depth, and height of Christ’s love. Yet the Apostle himself prayed for this knowledge, and he calls it a love that surpasses knowledge. How then shall we grasp it? Only if the Holy Spirit opens the eyes of our heart. And He gives that light to those who chase after peace and holiness with all men, for without holiness no one will see the Lord. Rooted and grounded in love, this is not a feeling but a way of walking, a constant putting-on of mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering. This is how the roots go deep; this is how the building rises unshaken. The soul that truly loves bears all things, and in bearing, begins to taste how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, who for our sake became poor that we might become rich.

Do not seek this filling in the abundance of possessions or the applause of men. Those are cracked cisterns. Riches in heaven, the treasure of a pure heart, the confidence that comes from a life laid down for others, these are the riches of His glory. Notice the Apostle bows his knees to the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named. He begs for power through the Spirit. So must you: in much prayer, in true lowliness, in the daily work of love that flows from faith. Then Christ will truly dwell in your heart, not as a passing guest, but as the Master of the house, ordering every thought and desire. And in that divine indwelling, you will know by a wisdom deeper than words the love that holds you, that fills you, that sweeps you into the very life of God. And to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Hold fast to this prayer, but let it be not only on your lips; clothe yourself in the Lord Jesus Christ, and let your life be the living amen.
