Beloved of All
🧎🏽‍♂️"We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We rejoice in your heartfelt cry to the Father, echoing the apostle Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14-20. This passage is a profound declaration of our dependence on God’s strength, His indwelling presence, and the boundless love of Christ. Let us stand together in agreement with this prayer, lifting it before the throne of grace with even deeper fervor.

Heavenly Father, we bow our knees before You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We ask, according to the riches of Your glory, that You would strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner being. May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, so that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge. Father, fill us to the measure of all the fullness of God. To You, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

This prayer is not merely words; it is a surrender to the transformative work of the Holy Spirit. The strength we seek is not of ourselves but comes from the power of God at work within us. When Paul speaks of Christ dwelling in our hearts, he is not referring to a passive presence but an active, living reality. Christ takes residence in us through faith, shaping our desires, thoughts, and actions to align with His will. This is not a one-time event but a daily, moment-by-moment surrender to His lordship.

To know the dimensions of Christ’s love is to embark on a journey that transcends human understanding. His love is wide enough to encompass all of humanity, long enough to stretch from eternity past to eternity future, deep enough to reach the lowest depths of human sin, and high enough to seat us with Him in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). This love is not something we can fully grasp with our minds alone; it must be experienced through the Holy Spirit’s revelation. As we meditate on the cross, the empty tomb, and Christ’s intercession for us at the right hand of the Father, we begin to taste the depth of His love.

Being filled with the fullness of God is not about achieving spiritual perfection in our own strength but about allowing God to fill every part of our being with His presence. It is a filling that overflows, spilling out into the lives of others through acts of love, service, and proclamation of the gospel. This filling is not static; it is dynamic, requiring us to continually seek God in prayer, His Word, and fellowship with other believers.

Yet, we must also address a critical truth: this power, this love, this fullness is only accessible through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). If we attempt to approach God through any other means, whether through our own righteousness, other religions, or spiritual practices that do not honor Christ, we will find ourselves outside of His grace. Salvation is found in no one else. Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins and the gift of eternal life? If not, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

For those who have already trusted in Christ, we encourage you to press deeper into this prayer. Do not settle for a superficial faith that merely acknowledges God’s existence. Seek to know Him intimately, to walk in His power, and to be filled with His Spirit. This requires humility, repentance, and a willingness to lay down our own agendas for His. It means spending time in His Word, allowing it to shape our thoughts and renew our minds (Romans 12:2). It means praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), not just with requests but with worship and surrender. It means fellowshipping with other believers, encouraging one another, and spurring one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25).

We must also rebuke any hint of complacency or self-sufficiency in our lives. The enemy would love for us to believe that we can live the Christian life in our own strength, but Scripture is clear: apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). We are utterly dependent on Him for every breath, every step, and every victory. Let us not be deceived into thinking that we can compartmentalize our faith, keeping God confined to a Sunday morning service while we live the rest of our lives according to our own desires. Christ must dwell in our hearts, not just as a guest but as the Lord of every area of our lives.

In our relationships, this truth must be lived out. If you are courting someone, let your relationship be rooted in Christ and His love. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the church (Ephesians 5:22-33). It is not to be entered into lightly or with selfish motives. If you are single, use this time to grow in your relationship with God, trusting that He will bring the right spouse into your life at the right time if that is His will. Flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18), for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). Any sexual activity outside of the marriage covenant between one man and one woman is sin and grieves the heart of God. Repentance and turning away from such sin is the path to restoration and healing.

For those struggling with sin, whether in thought or deed, we urge you to bring it into the light. Confess your sins to God and to one another, and experience the freedom that comes from His forgiveness (1 John 1:9). Do not let shame or pride keep you in bondage. Christ’s love is greater than your sin, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Let us also remember that the power we seek is not for our own glory but for God’s. Paul’s prayer ends with a doxology: “To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Every gift, every strength, every victory is meant to bring glory to God. As we are filled with His Spirit, may our lives reflect His character, His love, His holiness, His grace. May we be a light in a dark world, pointing others to the hope found only in Jesus Christ.

We stand with you in this prayer, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Let us not grow weary in seeking Him, for He rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). Press on, dear brothers and sisters, for the prize is worth the pursuit. The love of Christ compels us, and His power sustains us. To God be the glory, now and forever. Amen.

We are joining you in this breathtaking prayer from Ephesians. It is such a beautiful thing to see a heart that longs not just for a little help, but for the full, overflowing reality of Christ's presence and love. That you are asking for strength in your inner being, for Christ to feel at home in your heart, and for the power to grasp how wide His love is, this already tells us something good about what God is doing in you.

Sometimes we can treat these verses as a distant ideal, but you are asking for them as a present need. That is a deep and grounded kind of hope. The language of being rooted and grounded in love reminds us that a tree doesn't strain to make roots grow; it simply rests in the soil and receives. In the same way, comprehending Christ's love isn't something we achieve by effort alone. It's something we are given the capacity to receive, together with all the saints. We aren't alone in this. We are part of a whole family, across heaven and earth, learning the dimensions of a love that goes beyond knowledge.

As you sit with this prayer this week, perhaps let your focus rest not on trying to feel more, but on the simple truth that you are already rooted in that love. The Holy Spirit is already strengthening your inner being right now, even in quiet, ordinary moments. We are praying with you that you would know, really know, the security of being held in that love, and that the fullness of God would be your steady reality.

Jesus, we bow with our friend before the Father. According to the riches of Your glory, strengthen them with power in their inner being. Let Christ truly dwell in their heart through faith. Root them and ground them in Your love, and give them the ability to grasp how wide, long, high, and deep Your love truly is. Fill them with all Your fullness, God, beyond what they could ask or imagine. Amen.

This prayer that trembled on the apostle’s lips is not a wish granted to a distant few, but the very birthright of every soul who has been quickened together with Christ. I charge you, do not read it as a passage to admire but as a promise to seize. The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, has already granted us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man. The wealth of His glory, think of it! Not a trickling stream from a half-empty reservoir, but the boundless, infinite treasure of divine splendor poured into the secret chambers of your spirit. That strength is already yours in the covenant if you are in Christ. Rise to it. The inner man grows faint only because we forget the granaries of our God, stored with all that He is.

And what is this strength for? That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Not visit as a guest who departs, not hover as a distant hope, but settle down, abide, make His home in the very core of your being. This is the partnership into which you have been called, that your life is hid with Christ in God, and Christ lives in you. God does not look upon you apart from His Son. You stand before Him in Christ, always in Christ. Let this ravish your heart until you cry out with Paul, “I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me.” Faith is the door, the open hand, the receiving of the Guest. Do not bind Christ with the cords of unbelief or neglect, but let the Word of His promise make room for Him.

Being thus rooted and grounded in love, love as the soil from which you draw all nourishment, love as the foundation upon which every stone of your being rests, you are made able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height. This is not the cold measurement of a doctrine, but the living, thrilling discovery of a person. To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge. Mark that paradox, for it is the sweetest of all truths. You can know it truly, deeply, experimentally, yet it soars beyond the reach of reason and leaves the intellect drowned in adoration. When His patience held Him bound with our bonds, when He gave Himself for you, He loved YOU, then the dimensions begin to unfold. A deep sense of your own sinfulness, coupled with the perfect consciousness of your forgiveness, works intense love in return. Let His love to you dwell in your soul till it transforms your soul into itself.

The end of this sacred progress is that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. This is a cup overflowing, a vessel enlarged by grace and then filled to the brim with divine life. There is a fullness in Christ essential, inexhaustible, treasured up for both sinner and saint. Come, then, with holy boldness to receive grace for grace. Prayer becomes the sweet fellowship where your heart empties itself and Christ empties His heart to supply your need. When God seems silent, when you taste the bitterness of a forsaken cry, even there you hold communion with the Sympathizer who knows that depth. Do not stop short of this filling. Let holy ambition stir you. The Lord is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or even think, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages.

If you have never yet begun this life, I beseech you, do not bind Christ with the cords of delay. God is in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. Are you willing to receive Him? Then there is already peace between you and God, for Jesus is our peace. But oh, for those who know Him, let no veil remain. Enter the banquet. Spread your soul before Him in prayer, speak with Him, walk with Him, and let His transforming love make you a wonder of grace to the praise of His glory forever.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The words you bring before me, from the Apostle to the Ephesians, are a treasure beyond price, a prayer that the inner man be strengthened by the Spirit, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that being rooted and grounded in love you may comprehend with all the saints the boundless dimensions of Christ’s love, and so be filled to all the fullness of God. Do you see what he asks? That you may know what surpasses knowledge. For though the love of Christ lies beyond all human reckoning, yet you shall know it if Christ truly dwells within you. And to be filled with the fullness of God is nothing less than to be filled with every virtue, to have God’s own life coursing through you.

But you must not suppose that such grace comes without effort, or that you can keep company with luxury and soft living while seeking to be filled with God. Recall those who were destroyed: the rich man burning in the furnace, the gluttons in the wilderness, the men of Sodom who luxuriated in fullness of bread. Esau, for a morsel of meat, lost his birthright. If fullness of bread wrought such ruin, what of the delicacies that enslave the belly and inflame lust? You cannot make the belly your god and hope to have Christ dwell in your heart. The inner man is strengthened not by feasting but by self-restraint, by tears of repentance, by wounding the fleshly desires.

Yet the love which this prayer supposes is not a soft sentiment. True love is proved when you are insulted, when you receive ingratitude, when you are hated, and still love for Christ’s sake. Such love inquires not about kinship or country or whether you are loved in return. It embraces all: the brother in the faith as your own flesh, the heretic and the heathen and the Jew with pity, weeping and wearing yourself out for their salvation. If you love only those who love you, what reward have you? But to love the unworthy, to do good to enemies, this makes you like God, who is long-suffering and kind to the evil and the good. This is the beginning and the end of virtue. Love is the root, the groundwork, the summit. The whole law hangs on it.

Do not then neglect the assembling of yourselves together. For where two or three are gathered in Christ’s name, He is in their midst. The gathering together increases love, and love increased brings the things of God in its train. There the Spirit works mightily, and the inner man is fortified. Do not follow the manner of some who withdraw and grow cold. You need the brethren, their prayers, their zeal to kindle your own.

Let this be your daily striving: that sin may be bound, that every lust may be cut off, that love may be perfected, that Christ may reign within. He who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think will work this in you by His power. To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
