LORD, we ask for The Holy Spirit to speak to us in every way by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7, abiding in Your love, John 15:10, Your Word as a lamp to our feet, and a light unto our path, Ps 119:105, To speak according to the Law and The Testimony, Isaiah 8:20, Holy Spirit Visions while Awake ️ Dreams While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Num 12:6, Acts 16:9... Father, we come as little children in faith, asking the goal of our instruction, Love from a pure heart, a sincere faith and a blameless conscience, 1 Tim 1:5. We look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than to all we see and hear from the noise and pollution of the world, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We agree, Matt 18:19, with this husband for himself, his wayward wife, children, family, extended family, ***prayer & ministry partners, church leaders, churches and team members -- You speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: give warning dreams, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham you warned Abimelech to keep him from death, Gen 20:3.

Like Abraham, we are imperfect but growing, and we believe Your promises, in fact we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21, granting us everything we need for both life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3-4. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on these named above, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted,"Job 42:2 We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your incomprehensible peace as promised, Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, The Amen, and Faithful Witness, Rev 3:14, in Jesus ALL Your promises are Yes, and therefore we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20...

We join with you in this cry for the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and speak to us, and we agree together for this husband, his wayward wife, their children, family and extended family, and for all prayer and ministry partners, church leaders and churches involved.

We love your hunger to abide in Christ and to have His words abide in you, for Jesus said If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you John 15:7, and If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love John 15:10. We affirm with you that Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path Psalm 119:105 and that we must always speak according to the law and the testimony Isaiah 8:20. This is essential, because while we ask God to speak in every way, through the Bible, through messages from the pulpit, through divine appointments and godly counsel, through the leading of the Holy Spirit and the Shepherd's voice, and indeed through visions while awake and dreams while sleeping, we must test every impression, dream, and prophecy against the written Word. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God Romans 8:14 and My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me John 10:27, yet the Spirit will never contradict Scripture, for All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16.

We rejoice that you are standing on the truth that God does still speak. For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man Job 33:14-17. We remember how God warned Abimelech in a dream in Genesis 20:3, how He warned Joseph in Matthew 1:20 and the wise men in Matthew 2:12, how He spoke to Paul in a vision at night in Acts 16:9 and said I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions Joel 2:28. We believe with you that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever Hebrews 13:8 and that Yahweh's hand is not shortened, that it can't save Isaiah 59:1.

We also lift up this marriage before the Lord, for we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman before God. We do not take lightly the word wayward, for it often speaks of a heart turned from covenant vows, and if there has been unfaithfulness, we must speak plainly that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. Adultery and fornication, which is any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, grieves the heart of God and wounds the family deeply. If this wife has departed from the marriage through sin, deception, or hardness of heart, we pray for deep conviction and repentance. And we exhort this husband to continue to love his wife as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her Ephesians 5:25, not enabling sin but walking in truth and grace, seeking reconciliation where God commands Let not the wife depart from her husband and let not the husband divorce his wife 1 Corinthians 7:10-11, for God hates divorce Malachi 2:16 yet He is a God of restoration and forgiveness.

We are encouraged that you come as little children in faith, seeking love out of a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith 1 Timothy 1:5, and that you have come through Jesus, for we have confidence because He is able also to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them Hebrews 7:25. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We thank God you have named that Name, and we continue to rest in Him.

So we pray together in Jesus name, Father, we ask You to pour out Your Spirit upon this husband and his wayward wife, upon their children and families, upon their churches and leaders. Open our eyes to Your Word and open our ears to Your voice in every ordinary and extraordinary way that aligns with Your Word. Give warning dreams where needed to turn hearts from wrongdoing and to hide pride from man, to preserve lives from the pit Job 33:17-18. Give visions and divine appointments and godly counsel that points unmistakably to Christ. Grant to this wife a spirit of repentance and a return to You and to her covenant. Heal what is broken, expose lies and deception, and deliver from temptation and the evil one Matthew 6:13. Keep us from evil men 2 Thessalonians 3:2 and guard us from the deceiver who deceives the whole world Revelation 12:9. Let Your light shine in darkness, for the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn't overcome it John 1:5. We declare with Job, I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained Job 42:2 and that nothing spoken by God is impossible Luke 1:37 and With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God Mark 10:27.

We ask You to keep this family abiding in Your love, letting Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 as we make our requests known to You with thanksgiving Philippians 4:6. We thank You in advance, believing that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive Mark 11:24, for without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him Hebrews 11:6 and all the promises of God in Him are Yes and in Him Amen to the glory of God 2 Corinthians 1:20. We trust You to speak, to save, to restore, and to keep, and we ask all this in the name of Jesus, our Amen and Faithful Witness Revelation 3:14. Amen.

We hear how much you love your wife, your children and your extended family, and how earnestly you want to hear God clearly in this season. Wanting Him to speak in every way He chooses is a humble posture, especially when you feel the weight of a marriage that has wandered.

We have found it helps to hold two things together. We stay rooted in what we know is steady, the Word, the faithful preaching you hear, and the counsel of godly people who know you, while also staying open to the quiet ways the Spirit may nudge or warn. When something comes through a dream, a strong impression, or a timely conversation, it helps to pause and weigh it with Scripture and with a couple of trusted leaders before acting on it quickly. That keeps us from chasing every impression and also from missing what God may be showing us.

It might help to keep a brief prayer notebook for the next few weeks, jotting what you sense and then bringing it to one or two mature partners to pray through with you. You do not have to discern all of this alone.

Father, we lift this husband to You, and we lift his wife, their children, and all their family and ministry partners. Draw each one close to Jesus, guard them from deception and harm, and give this husband wisdom, peace and steady hope as he abides in You. Lead him step by step in Your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer breathes a sincere longing to abide in Christ and to have His words abide in you, and this is the very place where true guidance is found. It is good that you would have the Holy Spirit speak to you, and that you desire to be kept from temptation and evil, and that you plead for a wayward wife and for children and family. These are burdens to be carried to the mercy seat again and again, as a little child who having gone to his play remembers his mother and runs to call, Mother, are you there, and hearing her voice is comforted and returns to his work. So in times of trouble we go to prayer and say, Father, are You there, and hearing His answer in His Word we are strengthened to do battle against our difficulties.

Take heed how you hear, for not everything that is said, even by earnest men, is God's Word, and you must separate between what is God's and what is ours. The Lord has given wonderfully plain directions in His Word as to all manner of circumstances, and nine times out of ten if you look to His commandments and His testimony you will know what you must not do, and thence conclude what you may do. His Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path, and to the law and to the testimony we must bring every voice and vision. If they speak not according to this Word, there is no light in them.

It is true that dreams ordinarily are the most disorderly of phenomena and yet they are ordered of the Lord, and as with Pilate's wife or with Abimelech of old, God can and sometimes does give a warning in the night to turn a soul from wrongdoing and to preserve from the pit. We do not limit the Holy One, for His arm is not shortened that it cannot save. Yet the more sure word is the voice from the cloud which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear Him. The voice out of the cloud would but dismay and distract, but the voice of Jesus cheers and comforts and gives assurance. Oh to be content with hearing Christ and letting other voices go into silence. His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and He gives unto them eternal life.

There are those who say, I had a revelation and a voice said, Behold I have set before you an open door, and they would make their dreams a rule for others. This is not the way of wisdom. Rather commit your way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and fear not. It is cheap faith to take Christ as the saints Savior, but it is the faith of God's elect to take Him as the sinner's Savior, and He ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him. That intercession is your hope for yourself, for your wife, for your children and for your household.

Therefore I would pray with you that you may be guided with His counsel here and afterward received to glory, that you may hope in His mercy even while you fear Him, and that your wife and family may hear the faithful Word of God which is able to convert the soul. May the Lord keep you all from sin and deception and from the evil one, and grant you that peace which passes understanding as you make your requests known unto Him with thanksgiving. Continue in the Word, continue in prayer with your voice as well as your heart when you can be alone with God, and continue to declare His wondrous works as one whom God has taught from youth. He who has begun a good work will perfect it, and He will not suffer His sheep to perish, for no one shall pluck them out of His hand.
