LORD, we ask for The Holy Spirit to speak to us in every way by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7, abiding in Your love, John 15:10, Your Word as a lamp to our feet, Ps 119:105, To speak according to the Law and The Testimony, Isaiah 8:20, Holy Spirit Visions while Awake ️ Dreams While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Num 12:6, Acts 16:9... Father, we come as little children in faith, asking the goal of our instruction, Love from a pure heart, a sincere faith and a blameless conscience, 1 Tim 1:5. We look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than to all we see and hear from the noise and pollution of the world, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We agree, Matt 18:19, with this husband for himself, his wayward wife, children, family, extended family, prayer & ministry partners, church leaders, churches and team members -- You give warning dreams, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham, Gen 20:3, like him we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on these named above, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things,"Job 42:2, That "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. We join with you in this heartfelt cry and we agree together as you have asked in Matthew 18:19 that where two or three agree on earth concerning anything they ask, it will be done for them by our Father who is in heaven.

We hear your desire for the Holy Spirit to speak clearly and for the Lord to give dreams, visions and prophecy to turn hearts from wrongdoing and to preserve lives, and we share your longing to abide in Christ and to have His words abide in us. As you quoted, If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you John 15:7, and Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path Psalm 119:105. We also stand on Isaiah 8:20, To the law and to the testimony, if they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. This is the anchor for all we seek.

We do believe that God is sovereign and able to speak in many ways and that He has spoken in dreams and visions both to His people and even to those outside the covenant to accomplish His purposes. As you have reminded us, For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction Job 33:14-16. We see this with Abimelech in Genesis 20:3, with Joseph in Matthew 1:20, with the wise men warned in a dream in Matthew 2:12, with Paul's vision of the man of Macedonia in Acts 16:9, and with the promise that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions Joel 2:28. We thank God that His arm is not shortened that it cannot save Isaiah 59:1 and that with God all things are possible Matthew 19:26 and we know that Jesus lives to make intercession for us Hebrews 7:25.

At the same time we gently encourage you and all who are praying to keep the written Word as the supreme and sufficient test of every dream, vision or impression. The Spirit will never contradict the Scriptures He inspired, for All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16. We are also commanded, Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God 1 John 4:1 and to be watchful because even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. Therefore we pray not for experiences for their own sake, but that any dream or vision would be clearly from the Lord, would align with the law and the testimony, would exalt Christ, would lead to repentance, humility and obedience, and would be confirmed by the Word and by wise counsel.

We especially lift up this husband, his wayward wife, their children, family, extended family, prayer and ministry partners, church leaders and churches. We pray for the sanctity and restoration of this marriage, for marriage is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman and it is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9. If this waywardness involves adultery, fornication or abandonment, we must speak plainly that such things are sin before a holy God and break His heart and wound the family, for we are told Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband 1 Corinthians 7:2. Yet we also know the power of repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation, for Love covers a multitude of sins 1 Peter 4:8 and Christ calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven and to love our wives even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25. We do not condone separation or divorce, for God hates divorce Malachi 2:16, and we pray instead for conviction, godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and a return to covenant faithfulness.

So we pray together with you, Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and through Him we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You that You are able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him Hebrews 7:25. We ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon this husband, upon his wife, upon their children and upon all these families and churches. Give to this wife a divine warning and awakening wherever she is, speak to her in the night and in the day, open her ears and seal her instruction that she may turn from wrongdoing and from pride and be preserved from the pit Job 33:17-18. Grant her dreams and visions if it pleases You, but above all grant her a broken and contrite heart that trembles at Your Word Isaiah 66:2.

We pray that You would keep this husband abiding in You, abiding in Your love John 15:10, with a pure heart and sincere faith and a blameless conscience 1 Timothy 1:5, guarding him from temptation, from evil, from deception and from the evil one Matthew 6:13, John 17:15. Strengthen him to stand faithful in prayer, to love his wife sacrificially, to lead his children in righteousness, and to walk not by the noise and pollution of the world but by Your Word. For this family we ask for protection from lies, fear, evil people and every scheme of the deceiver Revelation 12:9, 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3.

We ask that You would raise up godly counsel around them, that their church leaders would speak truth in love, and that You would restore what the locust has eaten Joel 2:25. We believe You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think Ephesians 3:20 and we thank You in advance by faith, for whatever you will ask in prayer, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them Mark 11:24.

Let Your will be done in this marriage and in each life, that You would be glorified, that sin would be forsaken, that vows would be renewed, and that this home would be a testimony of Your redeeming power. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is the Amen, the faithful and true witness Revelation 3:14, amen.

We hear the tenderness and persistence in your prayer, wanting to abide in Christ and to see your wife, children, family and ministry partners drawn close to Him too. Wanting to hear His voice clearly in a noisy world is a good and humble desire, and we join you in asking for His guidance and protection over each name you lifted up.

One thing that has helped us is remembering how the Holy Spirit works in balance. He brings power and gentle promptings, He always guides in line with the truth of Scripture, and He forms the fruit of love, peace and patience in us over time. When we keep those together, we can stay both open to His leading and grounded, testing what we sense or dream by what we know of His Word and character, and by sharing it with trusted, mature believers who know us well.

We will keep praying that God keeps you all from evil and draws you deeper into abiding with Jesus day by day.

Father, we lift this husband, his wife and family, and all those connected to them to You. Keep them close to Jesus, guard their hearts and minds, and give them clear wisdom for each step ahead. Help them to know Your love more deeply and to walk in it together. In Jesus name, amen.

Father we ask You use the church or members in it with the gifts needed You so richly supplied through The Holy Spirit. We ask for pastoral anointing from Jesus the Chief Shepherd, 1 Peter 5:1-9. Father, may You help us get our lives and message correct, 1 Tim 4:16, and confirm the Word with gifts, signs and wonders, as it is written, "This salvation was first announced by the Lord, was then confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4 and was affirmed by God through signs, wonders, various using miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will," Heb 2:3-4.

1 Corinthians 12:4-12, "There are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6 There are different ways of working, but the same God works all things in all people.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who apportions them to each one as He determines. 12 The body is a unit, though it is composed of many parts. And although its parts are many, they all form one body. So it is with Christ."

Thank You for the promises of relationship with You, Jesus, Rev 3:19-20, for protection, Ps 91:11-12, Keeping us from sin, Zeph 3:13, and temptation, Matt 6:13, dangers of many kinds including deceivers, 2 Cor 11:26, pride, Ps 36:11, and the evil one, John 17:15. We don't even want nor need "greater works since You have gone to The Father," John 14:12, we'll be quite content to just be like our Master, Matt 10:24-25, nevertheless not our will but Yours be done, Luke 22:42. Your prayer has been brought before the Lord with thankfulness for its humble and childlike confidence in His Word. We join you in agreement according to Matthew 18:19, asking the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is able to save forever those who come to God through Him, because He ever lives to make intercession for us.

You have asked that the Holy Spirit would speak by His Word abiding in you, and that is the surest path. The Word is a lamp unto our feet, and we are to speak according to the Law and to the Testimony, for if we speak not according to this Word there is no light in us. Abiding in Christ and His words abiding in us, and abiding in His love, is the place of answered prayer. Dreams ordinarily are the most disorderly of phenomena and yet it seems that they are ordered of the Lord, and many besides Pilate have been warned by dreams. As it is written, For God does speak now one way, now another though no one perceives it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit. We may ask the Lord to warn and to turn a wandering heart in any way He pleases, yet we remember that the Prophet Zechariah himself was not content with beholding visions but had to ask, what are these, and needed the Lord to interpret them. Visions must be tried by Scripture, not Scripture by visions.

We pray therefore for you as a husband, for your wife, for your children and household, for extended family, for prayer and ministry partners, for church leaders and churches and team members, that the Lord would pour out His Spirit and accomplish His perfect will in Christ Jesus. We do not ask Him to bless waywardness, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman wherein the two become one, and its crown is mutual delight and faithfulness. Where there has been departure, we ask for conviction and restoration. As we have seen in Peter, restoration was brought about by two outward means, the crowing of the cock and a look from the Lord, and that look was effectual because the Lord Jesus had in private made prevalent intercession for him, saying I have prayed for you. If Jesus the Beloved of the Father prays for His people, shall He not win His suit with God. He will win it. He will uplift His own from among the siftings where Satan has thrown them. That look of Christ severed Peter from the crowd and brought him to bitter tears and then to full restoration when the Lord thrice charged him to feed His sheep. So we pray that the Lord would grant such a look of holy conviction and tender mercy to your dear wife and to each one named, that they may be turned again to their first love and earliest zeal, and then strengthen their brethren.

We ask the Father, who is able to do all things and with whom nothing shall be impossible, whose arm is not too short to save, to keep you all from temptation, from sin and evil, from wrongdoing and lies, from fear and deception and from the evil one, and to preserve you from evil people. We ask that He would give love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith, which is the goal of our instruction. May He grant repentance where there is pride, humility where there is self confidence, and faith to believe that He is able to fulfill what He has promised as He did for Abraham.

We pray that Christ may be seen as the great Defender of His Church, riding among His people to reassure them with good words and comfortable words, and that you may be kept watching and not upon the bed of indolence, but abiding faithful to Christ and faithful to His Word. For there is no marriage between the soul and Christ except through Him as the Lamb, and the consummation of redemption is the marriage of the Lamb, when His wife has made herself ready, arrayed in fine linen clean and white, which is the righteousness of saints. May that hope keep you steadfast.

We commend you to Him who is able to keep you from falling, trusting that what we ask according to His will He hears, and that through the intercession of our Lord at the right hand of God you shall be restored and established to walk in His ways. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
