my longtime girlfriend of almost ### years has confessed that a month ago she was found HIV positive while I was out of the country. She said she did some horrible things by sleeping with so many guys. I am also not proud of what I did with my life, but I need God to have mercy on me because I am about to go to VCT. I need a good result and I promise to give my life to God now. Please God have mercy on me.

God please do this for my entire family (including myself). And do the same for the writer of this prayer, all my friends, neighbors, and all those I love and care about because heaven would not be the same without them there. Amen.

Dear friend in Christ Jesus, thank you for your posting.

I am sorry to hear of your girlfriend's illness and what you say about yourself as well. While it is no excuse certainly, people in this day and age in life do things and continue to commit errors in their judgment that can lead to other terrible things. But most things can be traced back to a dis-association with Christ. When He does not reside in a person's heart and soul, it is difficult for that person to follow religion and spirituality as closely as they should in order to follow God's Commandments hence, they are often led to a dangerous, wayward path. That path can be very trying and to say the least threatening most times but know that Jesus is always there for you if you only call out to Him.

A good program for consideration is to:

1. Acknowledge sin in your life and confess one's sins to Jesus and ask for His forgiveness.

2. Become Saved by becoming Born Again and giving your life to Jesus Christ. (Prayer For Salvation to follow)

3. Amend your life so as to avoid falling into the pit hole that you now abhor and detest after knowing what it can bring.

When one does these three things with heartfelt direction and motivation, along with becoming more spiritually in tune with God, they can start to become a better Christian. Life is not perfect but in that imperfection we find many who also foolishly take advantage of things that are at their disposal including sins of the flesh, drugs, alcohol, etc. and there are consequences for taking those actions that people need to always be aware of.

The Good News is that Jesus Loves His Children and that means YOU! He is most willing to forgive one's sins if they only reach out to Him with contrite heart and confess them to Him and ask for His forgiveness. This needs to be stressed again as it is the all-important first step to take, the acknowledgement that you are a sinner and need forgiveness. Pray always to God through His Divine Son Jesus Christ. Make it a Daily Habit and before bedtime for many added blessings.

Concerning HIV/AIDS, it used to be foolishly (and dangerously) thought, by some people, that it only affected those who are same-gender attracted. And while that group is far from being immune to this, that is certainly not the case as a great number of cases happen between hetero-sexuals in many countries and indeed can happen to anyone who does not take the proper precautions when engaging in intimate relationships or with the sharing of dirty needles (which should never be done in the first place).

Let Us Now Pray.

Lord Father, we pray for those who are ill with this dis-ease that you will have mercy on them as they reach out to you for your grace and healing. We pray that people will wake up to the fact that they are at-risk when they do not take proper precautions and are not aligned with thee and we ask you, God, to speak to them in an intimate manner so as to let them know of this and that they can hear in their heart your message of Love instead of condemnation. We pray that those who would follow a "friend's" advice to engage in high risk behavior, that that thought be immediately intercepted by your message and warning, O Lord God! In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen. Lord Jesus, we Love thee, we thank thee and praise thee and glorify thy most Holy Name. Amen.
