THIS IS MY GENERATION TOO!PART2 Act 6:2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Act 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, Act 6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. He was not in the first twelve lineup,he was not amongst the list of the generals of his time.Before they chose him to serve the tables he was just part of the congregation.Though he was not in the first twelve and had no title to go with it yet Stephen refused to remain ordinary.He became known for his faith,mighty things would happen through this young man.He was full of the Holy Ghost,he did many great wonders and miracles and yet had no title.In church he would just sit down and listened to the generals of his day with humility BUT just outside the church building Stephen demonstrated such knowledge of the WORD and POWER that it shook the whole city.When it finally came to the selection of people who would serve on tables Stephen was automatically in as his name had spread around the whole nation. Imagine with so much he did the only position in church available for him was the position of a deacon,serving widows food.This does not look like a job for one with such a CV but Stephen remained humble.He would execute his duties whole heartedly knowing he was not doing this for man but unto JESUS.His messages were spreading like veld fire in the city,the other churches of that day heard about him,it was not any of the apostles that turned the city upside down but the man without a title Stephen.They could not stand his wisdom,he became a pain to the kingdom of the devil in that city that they plotted to kill him.Act 6:9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. Act 6:10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. Although the twelve apostles were there this did not stop Stephen,yes because this was his generation too.He submitted to them as his spiritual fathers,they laid hands on him.A man without a reputable title, a man who served the tables BUT became a force to reckon with in his city.He was not doing all this to be noticed by man BUT did all unto GOD.He refused to be just another church goer,he refused to just sit and fold his hands,he refused to add to the numbers of the church that he shared that same bible with the generals of his time.What are you serving as in your local church,are you an usher,refuse to be ordinary,refuse to be just another usher.Be an usher with a difference that when people are talking about your man of GOD your name is not left out.Are you in praise and worship be a worshiper with a difference.Let it not just be another song,another church day,miracles,signs and wonders must start to happen before the man of GOD starts to minister.We now need ushers full of faith and the spirit of GOD.People who would preach,cast out devils,heal the sick although they don't have a title.People who would turn their neighborhoods upside down only for the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST. You are not a spec in the universe,you might not have a title BUT your qualification is the HOLY GHOST.They may not give you a chance to hold their microphone in church BUT outside the church they shall hear about you.You are in this generation too my brother ooh yesss my sister GOD did not bring you in such a time like this by mistake.He did not give you his spirit to just sit on.That is why sometimes dream ministering the GOSPEL,you dream about mighty man of GOD.This is just a confirmation that GOD has called you for a higher dimension.Just like Rahab who was known as a harlot you will find yourself in the geneology of JESUS,just like the woman of Samaria known a hooker,you will evangelize the whole city in two ,three days.Not known BUT you will shake nations.
