We join with you in bringing all of these desires before the Lord and we thank you for invoking the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is His blood that cleanses us from all sin as it says in 1 John 1:7.
We hear your heart for provision, for a new home for you and your cats, for financial stability, for your mom and your three children and their spouses, for your pets, and for the work of your hands in your catio, your painting, your studio and office, and your desires to work diligently in real estate and in caring for animals, and we want to pray with you that God will provide according to His perfect will. Yet we also want to lovingly speak truth over some of the language you have used, because we care for you and want your faith to be grounded in scripture rather than in formulas.
We notice you speak of speaking life into existence a hundredfold, of turning bad luck into good luck, and of doing things in your own energy. Scripture does teach the power of our words in Proverbs 18:21, and we are indeed called to speak truth and blessing, but we do not create reality by our declarations as God does. Only God speaks and it comes to pass according to Genesis 1:3 and Psalm 33:9. Our role is to humbly submit our desires to His sovereign will, as James 4:15 says, If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that. We also want to gently correct the idea of luck, for there is no luck in the Christian life, only the providence and mercy of God who causes all things to work together for good for those who love Him in Romans 8:28. And we do not live or succeed by our own energy, but by the Spirit of God, for Zechariah 4:6 says, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says Yahweh of Armies, and Jesus says in John 15:5, Apart from me you can do nothing.
You rightly quoted Deuteronomy 28:13, Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. We rejoice that you love this promise, and we remind you that in its context this blessing was tied to diligently obeying the voice of Yahweh, not to an incantation, but to a life of faithful obedience and trust. Likewise, the hundredfold promise in Mark 10:30 comes with persecutions and is about what God graciously restores when we sacrifice for His sake, not a guarantee of immediate financial increase through our words. God does desire to bless you, but His greatest blessing is conforming us to Christ and providing for our needs as we seek Him first, for Matthew 6:33 says, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We also rejoice to hear you mention your hubbie and cuddle buddy, and we affirm the sanctity of marriage as God designed it to be a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. If this is your husband, we pray God deepens that marriage in love and purity and faithful cuddling and companionship that honors Him, for Hebrews 13:4 says marriage is to be held in honor among all. We encourage you to continue to cultivate that marriage in the Lord.
We pray now together for you.
Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to you. We thank you that you know her needs before she asks, and we ask that your will be done in her life regarding a home, provision for her household and her cats, and the work of her hands. Provide for her as you see fit, give her wisdom and diligence as a steward of what you have entrusted to her, and help her to find contentment and joy in you whether you give much or little, for Philippians 4:11 says we can learn to be content in whatever circumstances we are in. We ask that you bless her mother, her three children and their spouses, and keep them in your care, and we ask that you watch over her pets as part of your creation. Lord, guide her in her desires to fix her catio, to paint, to add to her garage and studio and office, and to begin honest work to provide for herself, and let all be done with integrity and for your glory as Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Remove any trust in luck or in her own energy and fill her instead with your Holy Spirit, with peace that surpasses understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, and with the assurance that she is favored not because of her declarations but because she is in Christ, chosen and beloved according to Ephesians 1:6. Teach her to delight herself in you, trusting Psalm 37:4 that you will give her the desires of her heart as they align with your perfect plan. Lead her away from any teaching that treats your name or the blood of Jesus as a charm for material gain, and draw her into a deeper relationship with Jesus Himself, who is our true treasure. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our peace, amen.
